    Assume I have a generic type P which is an Enum, that is <P extends Enum<P>>, and I want to get the Enum value from a string, for example: String foo = "foo"; P fooEnum = Enum.valueOf(P.class, foo); This will get a compile error because P.class is invalid.   • What's the easiest way to parse a string in C?

    I have to parse this string in C: XFR 3 NS 207.46.106.118:1863 0 207.46.104.20:1863\r\n And be able to get the 207.46.106.118 part and 1863 part (the first ip address). I know I could go char by char and eventually find my way through it, but what's the easiest way to get this information, given that the IP address in the string could change to a different format (with less digits)?

    I've been using the following: var modal = { content: '', form: '', href: '' } But now I have started to use Typescript is there a better way I can declare an object and how can I declare the types of my properties. The reason I am using this object is that it's inside of a function and inside that function I have other functions that set and use the values of the properties. Is this the best way for me to do this or is there another way I could better do this with typescript?

    I need to compress a string so it is shorter for a GET method form. Is there any way to compress a string and it will be decrypted later? That way... ?error=LOTS OF STUFFLOTS OF STUFFLOTS OF STUFFLOTS OF STUFFLOTS OF STUFF is shorter in some sort of key ?error=somekey so I can get back the result later. Not using MySQL preferably. Anyone know a good method for this?

    I am relatively new to Javascript and constantly need to look up how to handle various events for objects. For example, I have a table containing a few text fields and need to know when somebody starts typing in any of the text boxes. Is there any good concise reference on the web anyplace that documents all of the objects and event handlers associated with all objects? I'd like to be able to look up the object and see all of the events I can handle for that object.

  • Fill business object from database by calling stored procedurs?

    Hello, I have several stored procedures in my database, some of them have params, some have no params. I tried to fill a business object by calling the stored procedures, but failed so far. How could I do that dynamically? Later, I want to use this object as a datasource for a report...but thats the next step. The important facts are: different stored procs return different amount of columns stored procs can have params, but its not required How could I achieve that? Thanks :)

    Hi, what I want to do is to know where (not in terms of position (x, y), but a reference to the DOM element) an object was dropped. I have a grid made up with divs where you can drop various items and I need to know which div on the grid was the item dropped on (getting its id would be fine). The callback function function(event, ui) { //code here } has just that ui object who doesn't apparently contain any information about this, but only about the draggable item or its helper.

  • How do you return a string from a function correctly in Dynamic C?

    I have a program I am trying to debug, but Dynamic C apparently treats strings differently than normal C does (well, character arrays, anyway). I have a function that I made to make an 8 character long (well, 10 to include the \0 ) string of 0s and 1s to show me the contents of an 8-bit char variable. (IE, I give it the number 13, it returns the string "0001101\0" ) When I use the code below, it prints out !{happy face] 6 times (well, the second one is the happy face alone for some reason), each return comes back as 0xDEAE or "!\x02. I thought it would dereference it and return the appropriate string, but it appears to just be sending the pointer and attempting to parse it. This may seem silly, but my experience was actually in C++ and Java, so going back to C brings up a few issues that were dealt with in later programming languages that I'm not entirely sure how to deal with (like the lack of string variables). How could I fix this code, or how would be a better way to do what I am trying to do (I thought maybe sending in a pointer to a character array and working on it from the function might work, but I thought I should ask to see if maybe I'm just trying to reinvent the wheel).     Given any object in Ruby (on Rails), how can I write a method so that it will display that object's instance variable names and its values, like this: @x: 1 @y: 2 @link_to_point: #<Point:0x10031b298 @y=20, @x=38> I also want to be able to print <br> to the end of each instance variable's value so as to print them out nicely on a webpage. the difficulty now seems to be that not every instance variable has an accessor, so it can't be called with obj.send(var_name) (the var_name has the "@" removed, so "@x" becomes "x")

  • <object> pasted into textarea is removed... why?

    I have a textarea that saves data into a database. For some reason it is removing <object> tags from anything that I paste into it -- none of the other tags are removed, only <object> tags. I've never had this problem before and have done this same thing in times past -- any ideas as to what could cause this? I'm not filtering the data before it's saved to the db at all.
