    I am generating a System.Drawing.Bitmap on the fly in an ASP.NET Custom Web Server Control, and then I want to serve this bitmap as part of the WebResource, because I do not want to save it on the hosting computer. Is there a way to instruct ASP.NET to serve the generated System.Drawing.Bitmap as part of it's WebResource? (therefore making it an "Embedded Resource")

  • Enable debugging in Design mode in VS

    Is there any way to enable debugging from within the Windows Forms Designer in Visual Studio (any version, up to and including 2010)? What I mean is, say I have some custom user control, and this control has certain validation that it performs when I set a particular property. I'd like to be able to set a breakpoint somewhere within that code, and step through it to see what happens when I set the property from the designer.

  • jQuery: on focus, do customized focus on textarea

    My Code: $('#myTextArea').one('focus', function() { $('#myTextArea')[0].selectionStart = 2; $('#myTextArea')[0].selectionEnd = 6; $('#myTextArea')[0].focus(); }); The code works fine, on focus (only once), it selects from index 2 to 6. The problem: since this function is called on focus, it does the custom focus, but then it calls focus AGAIN and I lose focus of the selected text. Any possible solution?

  • Error using Session in IIS

    After deployment of my website to IIS I'm getting a following error message when trying to access session: Session state can only be used when enableSessionState is set to true, either in a configuration file or in the Page directive. Please also make sure that System.Web.SessionStateModule or a custom session state module is included in the \\ section in the application configuration. I access it in Page_Load or PreRender events (I tried both versions). With VS Dev Server it works without a problem. I tried both InProc an SessionState storage, 1 and multiple woker processes. I added a enableSessionState = "true" to my webpage explicitly.   • AsyncPostBackTrigger Just flashing/flicking the UpdatePanel but not updating it

    I am trying UpdatePanel & AsyncPostBackTrigger on master pages through find control method but problem is when I click on button (UpdateButton) It just flash/flick (No Postback) the UpdatePanle but still it don't update or refresh the gridview (images) inside the updatePanel. I have placed script Manger on the master page & an AJAX Update panel in a ContentPlaceHolder in the child page. Also, in another ContentPlaceholder there is an asp button (outside of the UpdatePanel). I want to refresh/reload the AJAX UpdatePanel with this asp button. Thanks for suggestions.     Hello, I'm writing a customized reflective library for some specialized custom domain logic, and that library is going to use XML configuration files that will dynamically resolve System.Type objects at runtime. However, when writing the XML configuration files, it's a bit of a pain to write the types because they need to be fully qualified assembly names for Type.GetType() to resolve them. Is there a way to find out the AssemblyQualifiedName of an object in Visual Studio without resorting to writing a program to print them out to a file or standard out or anything like that ?

  • Adjusting color on one monitor in Nvidia Surround

    I'm currently running three 2560x1440 screens using Nvidia Surround. Two monitors are Yamakasi Catleaps (cheap Korean jobs) and the third is the Achievia Shimian (also Korean). The Catleaps have great color reproduction, however the Shimian is exceptionally blue tinted. With normal monitors the required correction would require minimal effort to accomplish. But these Korean monitors do not have hardware controls to do it. For those who are unfamiliar, Nvidia Surround basically takes all three monitors and makes one big "monitor" out of all of them (Xinerama for GNU/Linux folk), at a resolution of 7680x1440 in my situation. Therefore, adjusting the color profile in the Nvidia control panel changes the settings for ALL of the monitors simultaneously. Thus, I am looking for some software to adjust the Shimian (perhaps by just selecting the pixels that that monitor encompasses). Does anyone know of such a program?

    got the jq cycle plugin to work nicely on all the other major browsers, but IE7 just shows the first nested element (an img with a anchor wrapped around it) with no fade/animation. http://alitedesigns.com/ I checked for trailing commas after the custom attributes for cycle, any thoughts on why IE won't play nice? thanks!

    My Application is a Tabbar with a navController in each of it's tabs. Now, the problem is to add a custom info button to the navController in the SecondView. I've created the App in InterfaceBuilder and entered the name of the nib to Load there.     I have a custom portlet made for liferay and sometimes it throws an exception. Why it throws exceptions is irrelevant. How to catch exceptions thrown by portlet handler methods in order to email information about them? I know I could do try catching on every handler method but it would be a much more elegant and cleaner solution to catch the exception on a higher level and just email some information about the error. I'm using Spring Portlet MVC, so i got all spring-related niceties at hand.
