• Why should I use a thread vs using a process?

  I'm a newbie at this so please forgive me for my ignorance. Separating different parts of a program into different processes seems (to me) to make a more elegant program then just threading everything. In what scenario would it make sense to make things run on a thread vs separating the program into different processes? When should I use a thread? Edit: Anything on how (or if) they act differently with single core and multi core would also be helpful.

  I'm trying to select the order total sum ($) and invoice count over a 5 day period in a single query. I can't seem to get this to happen though. The current query I have is here... • Can you have the same menu control highlighed for multiple pages in a site map

  I'm using a sitemap and a menu control. I have a search and list page that I want to highlight the same same item in the menu control. For example, Search Widgets menu items will be (Search.aspx) and the List Widgets will be (List.aspx). The sitemap will have a single entry for "Widgets", but I need both pages to map. Any idea on how to do this?

• Why is jQuery's .removeClass() adding a space to the class attribute?

  I'm having some strange issues with .removeClass() and .addClass() in jQuery. Specifically it seems that when I use .removeClass() the class is indeed removed, but a single space is left in it's place. then when I .addClass("secondclass") I get class=" secondclass" (with the space in front). I'm using jQuery 1.4.1 Is this intended behaviour or a bug? How to stop it?

  Is there an easy way to update the data source for multiple pivot tables on a single Excel sheet at the same time? All of the pivot tables reference the same named range, but I need to create a second worksheet that has the same pivot tables, but accessing a different named range.
