    I'm desperately searching for regular expressions that match these scenarios: 1) Match alternating chars I've a string like "This is my foobababababaf string" - and I want to match "babababa" Only thing I know is the length of the fragment to search - I don't know what chars/digits that might be - but they are alternating. I've really no clue where to start :( 2) Match combined groups In a string like "This is my foobaafoobaaaooo string" - and I want to match "aaaooo".   • best alternative to in-definition initialization of static class members? (for SVN keywords)

    I'm storing expanded SVN keyword literals for .cpp files in 'static char const *const' class members and want to store the .h descriptions as similarly as possible. In short, I need to guarantee single instantiation of a static member (presumably in a .cpp file) to an auto-generated non-integer literal living in a potentially shared .h file. Unfortunately the language makes no attempt to resolve multiple instantiations resulting from assignments made outside class definitions and explicitly forbids non-integer inits inside class definitions. My best attempt (using static-wrapping internal classes) is not too dirty, but I'd really like to do better. I get why the language shirks the whole resolution issue, but it'd be very convenient if an inverted extern member qualifier were provided, where the definition code was visible in class definitions to any caller but only actually invoked at the point of a single special declaration elsewhere. Anyway, I digress. What's the best solution for the language we've got, template or otherwise? Thanks!

    I have a method like: public T Get<T>(string key) { } Now say I want to return "hello" if the type is a string, and 110011 if it is type int. how can I do that? typeof(T) doesn't seem to work. I ideally want to do a switch statement, and return something based on the Type of the generic (string/int/long/etc). Is this possible?

    Hi folks! Actually I'm new to C++. I tried something out (actually the map container) but it doesn't work the way I assumed it will... Before posting my code, I will explain it shortly. I created 3 classes: ClassA ClassDerivedA ClassAnotherDerivedA The two last ones are derived from "ClassA". Further I created a map: map<string,ClassA> test_map; I put some objects (from Type ClassDerivedA and ClassAnotherDerivedA) into the map. Keep in mind: the mapped value is from type "ClassA". This will only work because of Polymorphism. Finally I created an iterator which runs over my map and compares the user input with my keys in the map. If they match, it will call a specific method called "printOutput".   • URL decoding Japanese characters etc. in Java

    I have a servlet that receives some POST data. Because this data is x-www-form-urlencoded, a string such as ???? would be encoded to &#12469;&#12508;&#12486;&#12531;. How would I unencode this string back to the correct characters? I have tried using URLDecoder.decode("encoded string", "UTF-8"); but it doesn't make a difference. The reason I would like to unencode them, is because, before I display this data on a webpage, I escape & to &amp; and at the moment, it is escaping the &s in the encoded string so the characters are not showing up properly.

    With reflection, you can look up a class from a string at run time, but you can also say typeof(Foo) and get compile time type checking, auto completion etc. If what you want is a field not a class, you can look it up from a string at runtime, but if you want compile time type checking etc., is there anyway to say something like fieldof(Foo.Bar)? I know the name of both the class and the field in advance, and I want to be able to refer to the field at compile time rather than with a run-time string lookup.

There are two methods for GET : @GET @Produces(MediaType.TEXT_XML) public String getXml(@PathParam("typeDocument") String typeDocument) to display XML file, and @GET @Produces(MediaType.TEXT_HTML) public String getHtml(@PathParam("typeDocument") String typeDocument) to display HTML. The browser Firefox always excutes getHtml() when URL is either http://localhost:8080/sources/html or localhost:8080/sources/xml But IE always excutes getXml().
