  I would like to do something like that: An object ReportingFile that can be a LogRequest or a LogReport file. ( both got the same structure) An object Reporting containing for one logRequest, a list of logReport with a date.   I have discovered a strange bug with my WPF application and I am trying to determine whether it is a problem with WPF or my graphics driver so that I can report it to the appropriate company. I have a Quadro FX 1700 with the latest drivers (197.54) on a Windows XP system, running a .NET 3.5 SP1 application. I have dual monitors, and when I maximize then minimize a child window of the main window on my primary monitor, the child window gets drawn on the secondary monitor as well. It appears in both places. I made a sample application (code is below) which induces this behavior. Start the application and ensure the main window is on your primary monitor. Double-click the main window. A green child window should appear. Click the green child window to maximize. Click the green child window to minimize. Can anyone else reproduce this problem? On my system the green child restores, but then it's drawn on both my primary and secondary monitors, rather than just the primary monitor. Everything is great until you hit the tab bar when the device is in landscape and the original view is reloaded and placed back on screen.   When my app is run in the iPhone simulator, the delegate method - (void)applicationWillTerminate:(UIApplication *)application is only called the first time I hit the iPhone simulator's home button. After the home button is pressed and the app is launched again, hitting the home button does not call the delegate method. What is going on here? Am I misunderstanding something fundamental?

  This is probably a pretty easy to answer question, but I can't find the solution myself after a couple hours of searching the documentation and Google. I set the orientation of my Android app to landscape in the AndroidManifest.xml file: android:screenOrientation="landscape" However, when I run the app in the simulator, it appears sideways and in portrait mode. How can I switch the emulator to landscape mode on a mac? It's running the 1.6 SDK. Thanks!

The setup work fine installing the service and setting the app.config values but when I try to uninstall the service, it removes the files but keep the service registered, so I can install it again using the setup, I need to use "sc delete " in the vs command prompt to proper remove the service... anyone have any idea which could be the issue here?   Right now I'm trying to Run/Debung my app on VisualStudio, but it cannot create it because the las instance of the app.vshost.exe is still running. Then, by using the Task Manager i'm trying to kill it, but it just remains there with no signal of activity. Beyond that particular case (maybe a VS bug), i'm very curious about the technical reasons why sometimes Windows cannot kill a process??? Can, an enlighted OS related developer, please try to explain? (And please don't start a Unix/Linux/Mac battle against Windows)

  Hi, I'm using Amazon's simpledb in my app. When parsing xml it gives an error with the code 5. ie. NSXMLParserErrorDomain error 5. Sometimes it works fine and without any significant change in the navigation is gives that error. Again it works fine when i restart the app several times without doing any changes to the code or navigation in the system. I cant figure out the reason why this happens. thanks

• How to force reload all vendor/plugins in rails 2.3 (development mode)

  We have an application with a app/model that references another model stored in a plugin. When the app/model level is reloaded on the second and further requests and that relies on our model in vendor/plugins/... (which stays loaded) it fails (can't dup nil class). We've tried setting config.reload_plugins = true in the development.rb but this doesn't seem to do it. Does anybody know a way to handle this?

• Forms authentication ignored in virtual application

  I have an admin site swet up as a virtual applcation inside of another website. I would like visitors to the sub directory (the virtual application) to be promtped for credentials using the same Forms autheentication set up on the main parent site Have tried all sorts of things but can't get it to work including Removing all ,, and sections from the virtual-app web.config Copying the same ,, and sections from the parent to the virtual-app web.config Using a virtual directory instead of virtual application But I never get promted for credentials Anyone know how to get this setup? thanks

The problem is that we've got web apps and fat client apps using authentication and storing cookies. However, logging out of a web app does not log out of a fat client app, and we have now way of forcing a refreshed cookie, atm.

• Postgres cannot connect to server

  Super stumped by why Postgres isn't working on a new app I just started. I've got it working for one app already. I'm using postgres.app, and it's running. I started a new app with rails new depot -d postgresql and then I went into the database.yml file and changed username to my $USER (which is what it is for the other app, which is working).
