  • Hotkey for double-click highlight?

    I'm working in Eclipse and find myself always replacing multiple copies of the same word, but I always have to take my hands off the keyboard and screen to get the mouse, hover over the word, double click to select, and then copy or rewrite the word. Is there any way I can just move the cursor inside the word and hit some hotkey that would highlight it? Seems like this would be a big timesaver. Or if there's a way to create a hotkey that would be perfect too.

  • How to pass the 'argument-line' of one PowerShell function to another?

    I'm trying to write some PowerShell functions that do some stuff and then transparently call through to existing built-in function. I want to pass along all the arguments untouched. I don't want to have to know any details of the arguments. I tired using 'splat' to do this with @args but that didn't work as I expected. In the example below, I've written a toy function called myls which supposed to print hello! and then call the same built-in function, Get-ChildItem, that the built-in alias ls calls with the rest of the argument line intact. What I have so far works pretty well: function myls { Write-Output "hello!" Invoke-Expression("Get-ChildItem "+$MyInvocation.UnboundArguments -join " ") } A correct version of myls should be able to handle being called with no arguments, with one argument, with named arguments, from a line containing multiple semi-colon delimited commands, and with variables in the arguments including string variables containing spaces.   • Which StackOverflow-style MarkDown (WMD) javascript editor should I use?

    Background I'm working on an application which requires user-entered content, and I've decided to use a StackOverflow-style MarkDown editor. After researching this topic for the last few days, I realize there are numerous forks of the base WMD editor, some with a few basic enhancements and some with serious differences from the StackOverflow one. Since this will be the heart of the application, I'd like to start with the best code base I can. I'd be happy if anyone can recommend which one of the many solutions out there best fits my needs. Below is requirements, plus what I've managed to find already. I'm hoping this question will help me decide which version to go with, and maybe help me discover a port out there that's an even better fit for my needs. The requirements for my project Live Preview Multiple editors on the same page (not know how many in advance, since the user can dynamically add another editing box). Ability to extend with extra buttons (I'd like a button to upload a picture, instead of just adding an img url). Ability to dynamically show/hide the edit box (and only see the preview box). Not an absolute must, but I'd prefer to stick as close to StackOverflow's look and feel, since it's well known. Don't know if this matters, but the backend is written in Django. Editors I've looked at Here are a few of the code bases I've looked at, with thoughts. Obviously, I might be missing another solution out there. The derobins version. From what I can tell, this is the official StackOverflow version. Seems like it doesn't support multiple editors on one page. JQuery.MarkEdit. Looks very good, but is pretty different from the StackOverflow version. MooWMD. Looks like the winner right now, but I'm a little concerned since it looks less active/hackable than MarkEdit. The wmd-new version. Not sure, looks like an old codebase without much use. The SocialSite branch. Seems like it's not for public use.

  • 'add another item' in non-CCK Drupal forms

    CCK for Drupal has the handy feature of allowing a single CCK field to accept multiple values via a "add another item" button that results in an array of data in the node. I'm wondering if there's any easy way of adapting this for a non-CCK form that I'd be calling by drupal_get_form. I'd rather not have to re-invent the wheel with multi-step form techniques. Anyone done this?

  • Merge PDF's with PDFTK with Bookmarks?

    Using pdftk to merge multiple pdf's is working well. However, any easy way to make a bookmark for each pdf merged? I don't see anything on the pdftk docs regarding this so I don't think it's possible with pdftk. All of our files merged will be 1 page, so wondering if there's any other utility that can add in bookmarks afterwards? Or another linux based pdf utility that will allow to merge while specifying a bookmark for each individual pdf.

  • Validate Linq2Sql before SubmitChanges()

    Can anyone tell me if/how you can validate the changes in a data context in Linq2Sql before calling SubmitChanges(). The situation I have is that I create a context, perform multiple operations and add many inserts alongside other processing tasks and then rollback if the submit fails. What I'd prefer to do is make some kind of "Validate()" call after certain tasks are done so that I can handle it before submitting the entire job.

  • XSL ignores my whitespace even with the <xsl:text> tag

    I'm making a header in my XSL code that includes multiple fields of information, i.e. "Name: Bob Birthdate: January 1 1900," etc. I enclosed them in tags as such: <xsl:text> Gender: Male </xsl:text> But on the page, the whitespace around Gender/Male is being ignored. Is there something I'm missing? Thanks in advance.

Clients will be sending votes for particular pieces of content, and receiving near-realtime updates of aggregated vote tallies from the server. The datastore needs to support: Storing the votes Summarising the votes in near-realtime Preventing multiple votes within an arbitrary time period (e.g. clients can only vote once for a piece of content every 1 minute) Something that already has client libraries for Node.js would be preferable.

Could someone explain me why : If I have in an ObservableCollection, twice (or more time) an item with the same value, then the selections of those values in the ListBox won't work properly ? In fact, what the ListBox is doing when I click on an item(Even in single item selection) : It selects the first item from the ObservableCollection collection with a matching value. so in the case if multiple items with same value are in the collection, then only the first one will be selected !

    Here's my issue: In my controller, I want to grab user input from a form. I then parse the input, and compare it to database values to ensure I'm grabbing the correct input. I simply want to match the user's answers to the question, grab the user ID, the question ID, and then determine if the answer applies to a multiple choice or checkbox question, or something else. I take those values and insert them into the answer table. Ignore the waiver stuff.   • Maven:install jar file during build process

    I have got a requirement as follows. I need to run ant build file during maven build process. I need to invoke the build.xml from my pom.xml file. I have done that using maven-antrun-plugin. Now I need to install the ant build generated jar file automatically into my local repository before maven compiles my project source. I tried using build-helper-maven-plugin but it did not help. Either I am doing something wrong, or i am not doing right. Please help. Update Thank you. ant maven tasks worked for me as well.     To have a general-purpose documentation system that can extract inline documentation of multiple languages, a parser for each language is needed. A parser generator (which actually doesn't have to be that complete or efficient) is thus needed. http://antlr.org/ is a nice parser generator that already has a number of grammars for popular languages. Are there better alternatives i.e. simpler ones that support generating parsers for even more languages out-of-the-box?

  • Visual Studio Missing Warnings

    Anyone find where when you open a certain solution (that contains multiple projects) and compile that you're not seen some warnings that your collegues see when compiling the exact same solution at the exact same state? The code is the same. I depend highly on the warnings as a shortcut to find unused methods, etc. But I get nothing during compile.. only a couple based on references to user controls, etc.

    Hi. I got a wsdl file in email. At first I didn't know how to use it. I've simply saved the file to my disk. Opened visual studio...added a service reference...provided path to file, and service was discovered. I opened the object browser to see the types and methods that got imported. I figure anything that ends with the name 'Client' is a good place to start using the web service. I've tried using a simple method to get data but it has run into and expception. Need help in resolving it.   • SVN directories not showing up in localhost when using WAMP

    Hi: I recently installed WAMP for actual local use. I've worked on live development servers but now am working on localhost. I've managed to get multiple virtual hosts setup on my WAMP/Vista 64-bit box but am having difficulty with directories pulled from SVN. I have four vhosts setup. Two work well and they are not tied to any SVN just yet. I'm also using TortoiseSVN in case it makes any difference. However, the other projects are coming from SVN repositories. When I view these two projects I get the following error: Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, admin@localhost and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
