  • WCF doesn't find client configuration

    Hi ! I have a WCF service on server B. Then on the machine A is the client, which is a Windows service. In a separate dll stands all the business logic for this service. So my proxy for the WCF is on that side. I have 2 app.config (client side only) : 1 for the service and another one in the dll. So I tried (for test purpose) puting the servicemodel config section in both. Both still, it doesn't work, it says that it can't find the endpoint with that name and for that contract... What I'm trying to do here is modify the configuration programatically. But then my clients cannot connect to the server anymore.   • .NET Impersonate not working!

    I have a webpage that allows a user to upload a file to a network share. When I run the webpage locally (within VS 2008) and try to upload the file, it works! However, when I deploy the website to the webserver and try to upload the file through the webpage, it doesn't work! The error being returned to me on the webserver says "Access to the path '\05prd1\emp\test.txt' is denied. So, obviously, this is a permissions issue. The network share is configured to allow full access both to me (NT authentication) and to the NETWORK SERVICE (which is .NET's default account and what we have set in our IIS application pool as the default user for this website). I have tried this with and without authentication, and neither one works on the webserver, yet both ways works on my local machine. The code that does the file upload is below.     drawPosText(char[] text, int index, int count, float[] pos, Paint paint) Draw the text in the array, with each character's origin specified by the pos array. Does anyone know where exactly does drawPosText consider the "origin" to be, since you are specifying "origin" as coordinate pairs; i.e., is it bottom-left of character, center, what? Also how does drawPosText calculate character height when it draws?

  • WP7 silverlight custom control using popup

    Hi guys, I'm creating a custom datepicker, I have a textbox, once clicked it opens a calendar within a popup. What I want to do is change the size of the popup so it shows my whole calendar, but I can't manage to change it..., I've tried using Height, Width, MinHeight, MinWidth... but it doesn't work, the popup keep showing with a fixed size. The thing is that my popup's parent property isn't evaluated since it has expression issues (according to debugger), so I'm sure my popup's parent isn't the main screen( say layout grid). How can I for example make my popup open within a specific context ? I cannot find any documentation to convert the transmitted string to a Public key that can be used to encrypt Strings. I also want the J2me to verify signed strings from the server. I want to then send the encrypted strings back to the server.

I'm aware that Server.Execute will pass along query parameters, but I'd like to pass data more generally. For instance: ' main.asp MyInclude("external.inc", Array("mykey", "myval")) ' external.inc Response.Write mykey I doubt I can get quite that far without reading the external fine, twiddling it, and executing, but I'd like to get as close as reasonably possible. Also, if possible, I'd prefer avoiding using the query passing option for security reasons.

    I have an issue with a WCF REST service (.NET 4) which has multiple host headers, but one end point. The host headers are for example: xxx.yyy.net xxx.yyy.com Both host headers are configured in IIS over HTTPS and redirect to the same WCF service endpoint. I have an Error Handling behavior which logs some extra information in case of an error. The problem is that the logging behavior only works for one of both URLs. When I first call the .net URL, the logging is only working for requests on the .net URL. When I first call the .com URL (after a Worker Process recycle), it’s only working on requests on the .com URL.   • Javascript iFrame Limitations

    I know that, for security reasons, javascript can't read the contents of an iframe if it belongs to a different domain. This makes sense, given that the entire page could be an iframe with snooping scripts outside of the frame. The question is - are there equal limitations in the other direction? Can javascript within an iframe (from a different domain) read and manipulate the dom in its parent window? Thanks!

But When I mouse over a menu item, the menu items drop down but the items appear below the Center region panel. I have been unable to get this to work. I tried setting the z-index but no luck at all.
