    Hi, In C++, there is a fwrite() which writes a buffer to a file on disk: http://www.cplusplus.com/reference/clibrary/cstdio/fwrite/ Can you please tell me if there is any buffer inside that fwrite implementation? i.e. if I call fwrite() multiple times (say 10 times), does it actually invoke file i/o 10 different times? Thank you.

    Forgive the beginner question, but say I have an array: a = [1,2,3] And a function somewhere; let's say it's an instance function: class Ilike def turtles(*args) puts args.inspect end end How do I invoke Ilike.turtles with a as if I were calling (Ilike.new).turtles(1,2,3). I'm familiar with send, but this doesn't seem to translate an array into an argument list. A parallel of what I'm looking for is the Javascript apply, which is equivalent to call but converts the array into an argument list.

    KEYEVENTF_SILENT is a constant used in calls like this one: keybd_event(VK_OFF, 0, KEYEVENTF_SILENT, 0); keybd_event(VK_OFF, 0, KEYEVENTF_SILENT | KEYEVENTF_KEYUP, 0); But since I am using .net I don't know what the actual value of KEYEVENTF_SILENT is. I can't call it with out knowing. Any ideas?

  • Basic visual studio intellisense question

    Ive used visual studio for years, but the answer this eludes me: When intellisense pops up, for a method call that takes more than one parameter, the summary for the first parameter is shown. The only way i've found to show the summary for the following parameter(s) is to either supply each parameter or just hit comma until i get the one im looking for. Ive tried ctrl+right arrow, shift + right arrow etc etc, without success. Just curious is all.

    Hi all, Not a VB6 expert... Trying to come up with a VB6 test app that calls InternetCheckConnection. In my test app, InternetCheckConnection always returns false regardless of the URL I use. I copied and pasted this code from a larger spaghetti-code app, but in the spaghetti-code, InternetCheckConnection seems to work fine, returns true. Is there some other function I have to call first in order for InternetCheckConnection to work?

Trivial example code that demonstrates the issue: (set! *warn-on-reflection* true) (defn foo [#^Integer x] (+ 3 x)) (.equals (foo 2) (foo 2)) => Reflection warning, NO_SOURCE_PATH:10 - call to equals can't be resolved. true What is the best way to solve this? Can this be done with type hints?

In particular, I am interested in the revisions of one of the files, lets call it test.tex. Now I would like to get ALL different versions of this file, from the repository. This is what i have in my controller, as an example function checkKeyExists($userid, $key){ } Then inside my view i have the following if(checkKeyExists($row->id, $role->key)){ } But when i run it, it says that checkKeyExists is not defined.     Sorry for the vague title, but I'm not sure what this is called. Say I add IDisposable to my class, Visual Studio can create the method stub for me. But it creates the stub like: void IDisposable.Dispose() I don't follow what this syntax is doing. Why do it like this instead of public void Dispose()? And with the first syntax, I couldn't work out how to call Dispose() from within my class (in my destructor).
