    I do IFrame application for facebook.     I'm writing an app that offloads some heavy drawing into an EAGLView, and it does some lightweight stuff in UIKit on top. It seems that the GL render during an orientation change is cached somewhere, and I can't figure out how to get access to it. Specifically: After an orientation change, calling glClear(GL_COLOR_BUFFER_BIT) isn't enough to clear the GL display (drawing is cached somewhere?) How can I clear this cache? After an orientation change, glReadPixel() can no longer access pixels drawn before the orientation change. How can I get access to where this is stored?

  • Can a web app in xul:iframe access functions from its parent XUL file?

    I want to deploy a web app as a self-contained program using XULRunner. I'm simply loading it in a xul:iframe tag within the main XUL file. It works, but I want the web app to have access to XUL components, specifically nsiFilePicker.     I have a partial view called '_comment.erb', and it may be called by parent many times(e.g. in a loop). I hope it can be define only once, but I don't want to move it to parent view. But when the script trys to run it with exec i get this error Msg 911, Level 16, State 1, Line 21 Could not locate entry in sysdatabases for database 'INSERT INTO table SELECT * FROM MPDEV090314'.   • using jQuery to load the body of another HTML document between entries

    I'm trying to use jQuery to load the body of another HTML document, which contains our AdSense banner. It should display under each blog entry when in list view. I'm able to get it to load text, even images, but not the banner; the banner is a small script. Here is the website we are working with: http://neverknowtech.com/data/ (that's a test page, and the 'entry' displayed there contains the intended body content) As you can see here the body code does include an ad, and the word 'Ad'. The word 'Ad' is shown correctly below the post (as it is in list view) but the script for the Google Ad doesn't seem to make it.     I'm in the process of porting an app to JavaScript/CSS and it uses right-click. For some reason Firefox 3.6 for Windows isn't issuing a right-click event, but Chrome and IE do. Here's some test code.     When there are multiple PHP scripts running in parallel, each making an UPDATE query to the same record in the same table repeatedly, is it possible for there to be a 'lag time' before the table is updated with each query? I have basically 5-6 instances of a PHP script running in parallel, having been launched via cron. Each script gets all the records in the items table, and then loops through them and processes them. However, to avoid processing the same item more than once, I store the id of the last item being processed in a seperate table. So this is how my code works: function getCurrentItem() { $sql = "SELECT currentItemId from settings"; $result = $this->db->query($sql); return $result->get('currentItemId'); } function setCurrentItem($id) { $sql = "UPDATE settings SET currentItemId='$id'"; $this->db->query($sql); } $currentItem = $this->getCurrentItem(); $sql = "SELECT * FROM items WHERE status='pending' AND id > $currentItem'"; $result = $this->db->query($sql); $items = $result->getAll(); foreach ($items as $i) { //Check if $i has been processed by a different instance of the script, and if so, //leave it untouched. if ($this->getCurrentItem() > $i->id) continue; $this->setCurrentItem($i->id); // Process the item here } But despite of all the precautions, most items are being processed more than once. Which makes me think that there is some lag time between the update queries being run by the PHP script, and when the database actually updates the record. Is it true? And if so, what other mechanism should I use to ensure that the PHP scripts always get only the latest currentItemId even when there are multiple scripts running in parrallel? Would using a text file instead of the db help?

When the page is loaded, the hints are displayed correctly but nothing happens on 'focus' and 'blur' events... I'm wondering why since when I don't use a 'for loop' in my js code, everything works find...     What is the best way to gray out text inputs on an HTML form? I need the inputs to be grayed out when a user checks a check box. Do I have to use JavaScript for this (not very familiar with JScript) or can I use PHP (which I am more familiar with)? EDIT: After some reading I have got a little bit of code, but it is giving me problems. For some reason I cannot get my script to work based on the state of the form input (enabled or disabled) or the state of my checkbox (checked or unchecked), but my script works fine when I base it on the values of the form inputs. I have written my code exactly like several examples online (mainly this one) but to no avail. None of the stuff that is commented out will work.   • How to edit localized forms all at one time in Visual Studio

    Hello, I have several forms that are localized to multiple languages. If I do a change on one form (for example, changing the size of a textbox) the change is done only on the localized version of the Form that I have currently selected. Is there a way of extending the change I've done the different localized versions of the same Form to avoid having to go one by one doing the same change by hand? Thanks in advance for your help. EDIT: I'm talking about different forms when the real thign is that you have one form and several resources. The point is that at the end is just like if you have different forms for each locale because the form is built with the data from the resource. The problem is still the same because the edits done on the form are stored at one resource file and I have to put by hand those edits in all the resources.

  • Is MVC 2 client-side validation broken in Visual Studio 2010 RC?

    I can't seem to get client side validation working with the version of MVC released with Visual Studio 2010 RC. I've tried it with two projects -- one upgrade from 1.0, and one using the template that came with VS. I'd think the template version would work, but it doesn't. Added the following scripts: <script type="text/javascript" src="<%= Url.Content("~/Scripts/MicrosoftMvcValidation.js") %>"> </script> <script type="text/javascript" src="<%= Url.Content("~/Scripts/jquery.validate.js")%>"> </script> which are downloaded to the client correctly. Added the following to my form page: <% Html.EnableClientValidation(); %> <%--yes, am aware of the EndForm() bug! --%> <% using (Html.BeginForm()) { %> <%--snip --%> and I can see the client validation scripts have been added to the bottom of the form. But still client validation never happens. What is worse is that in my upgraded project, the client validation scripts are never output in the page! PLEASE NOTE: I am specifically asking about the version of MVC2 that came with VS2010 RC. Also, I do know how to google; please don't waste anybody's time searching and answering if you aren't familiar with this issue in the release candidate of Visual Studio. Thanks.

  • cgi.FieldStorage always empty - never returns POSTed form Data

    This problem is probably embarrassingly simple. I'm trying to give python a spin. I thought a good way to start doing that would be to create a simple cgi script to process some form data and do some magic. My python script is executed properly by apache using mod_python, and will print out whatever I want it to print out. My only problem is that cgi.FieldStorage() is always empty. I've tried using both POST and GET. Each trial I fill out both form fields. <form action="pythonScript.py" method="POST" name="ARGH"> <input name="TaskName" type="text" /> <input name="TaskNumber" type="text" /> <input type="submit" /> </form> If I change the form to point to a perl script it reports the form data properly.
