Hello! Tell me please is it possible to break the process of parsing? I.e. exit this loop not reaching the end of document and corresponding event "endDocument" ?
I have embedded Lua in an Objective-C application using LuaObjCBridge. I need to know how to stop the Lua process if it taking too much time (infinite loop?).
Would running it in a separate thread help?
Hello,
I am writing a client-server in C in which many clients send a running file to server and server needs to execute the file and save the result in their computer.
now I have 2 questions:
1-should server save the receiving file before executing it?if yes how?
2-I am going to use CreateProcess() function to make a child and run every clients file in different process..is that a good choice?!
thank you for your kind help in advance

Imagine a repository with many kind of files.
Then, I want to get from this repository just some kind of files in a "filter process".
I mean ALL FILES are versioned. But to my local work, I just wanna i.e get *.php files, ignoring download *.jpg instead.
I think about client-site hook script (pre-update).
Anyone know if is it possible?
Thanks!
First of all I am using ASP.NET with C# for Facebook
Application Developement

and how to do it.
Im making a windows mobile app and i was wondering how i go about doing background processing (ie. threading)
The built in .NET class doesnt seem to work properly, they just run the code in the same process, unless thats just the emulator.
Anyway, is there a special way to do this with windows mobile?
None of the scribe examples I've seen actually mention the best way to take logs/logfiles and send them to scribe. I could configure a logrotate script that has a postrotate section that "cats" the rotated file to scribe (but then I get minutes latency at best).
The other option is to keep a "tail -f= | my_scribe_sender" and hope that the process never gets killed. However then you really can't guarantee that you're not missing/duplicating data.
English properties file can be read bt when i click on french link it couldnt read.Can u tell me the stepwise process to do this.I hav images which need to be in french when i click in french..
In particular, what are the implications of running code in two different application domains?
How is data normally passed across the application domain boundary? Is it the same as passing data across the process boundary? I'm curious to know more about this abstraction and what it is useful for.
EDIT: Good existing coverage of the AppDomain class in general at http://stackoverflow.com/questions/622516/i-dont-understand-appdomains
Hi, what is your preferred method to maintain state of an asp.net page, if it is a public website (involving shopping cart, wish-list etc). I am in the process of designing a website that will need to ensure that the user is not able to tamper with the state (such as delete cookies etc).

I am working on writing an web application which will be monitoring an java process which moves files from one location to another. The monitoring application needs to do following things
Monitor log files
View the content of moved files
Is there any opensource framework which provides monitoring capabilities over logging.
I am building this application in java.
Thanks
ASp.NET application.
In button click i am accessing one text file and reading content and storing in other destination.
while both users clicking this button at a time deadlock(thread is being used by other process) will occurs so how to handle this i want to read each user one by one can any one suggest method to handle.
i am looking to handle with waithandle events so can any one give a code sample for above scenario.
I'd create a repo which pulls in a remote repo, let's say I'd like to setup jQuery as a submodule for example
git://github.com/jquery/jquery.git
What would be the process of creating a repo with jQuery as a submodule and adding my own external as a remote repo.
Also once this is setup, if I push / pull to my own remote, will the external remain intact?
Ok this situation is a bit difficult. But I am trying to embed a Java Jar into a C# form. Not as a new window or new process.
The Jar will be a game that uses the LWJGL library.
The C# Form will be a "wrapper" for it with tools and more.
Anyone have any ideas? Is this even possible?
I'm witting an application based on a server and various client but I'm having a problem with the send command.
Whenever I do ctrl+c on the client side the send operation kills the thread which is in and the process running (in order to have multiple clients I set a thread to which one).
If the client ends (doing the close socket) properly the server doesn't die, but when I use the ctrl+c combination on the client both exit.
What can I do to prevent send commando to have this behavior?
Thx in advance
In a perl script, I'm trying to accept input without blocking and without echoing the characters entered (The script is producing output and I want to have 'hotkeys' to alter its behaviour).
I got as far as using
use Term::ReadKey;
ReadMode( "cbreak", STDIN );
if($input = ReadKey($pause_time, STDIN)){
#process input
}
But once the user types anything then the script stops until a newline is entered. I'd like the input to be processed per-character, without waiting for a newline.
My current project based in Asp .net makes considerable use of Http handlers to process various requests? So, is there any way by which I can test the functionality of each of the handlers using unit test cases? We are using Nunit and Moq framework to facilitate unit testing.
Is there a simple :) and efficient way or reading very large number of rows sequentially using Zend_Db?
Basically I need to process entire table, row by row. Table is large, primary key sequence is not guaranteed(i.e. not an autoincrement, but is UNSIGNED INT).
What's the best way to approach this?
Environment: PHP 5.2, Zend Framework 1.10, MySQL 5.1
Hi everybody,
i'm developing a webapp for iphone/ipod and using the client's side database. I want my webapp to work mainly offline and allow users to fill the database and at a certain point i'd like to send my database to a server to process and store all the informations.
The problem is i can't find a proper way to send my tables to a server in order to fill its database with the one sent from the iphone.
Does anyone has a clue ?
I'm just wondering if it would be possible (and legal) to port an Android app to desktop?
I'm creating an android game that would work well on PC too (even with the cellphone like layout) and was thinking that maybe I could 'embed' an android emulator with an installer or would that process be a bit hard for a novice Java coder?
Hi,
I'm developing an applciation using SQL Compact database in Visual Studio 2008. When I start the application and run the process, the data is being loaded into database for few hours worth of few tens of megabytes. However, when I quite debugging, change something in code (not in DB structure), run the project again, the database is erased.
Does anyone know how to prevent this behavior? I need the data to stay in DB to test on it.
Any body can explain me how session works in PHP. for eg. 3 users logged into gmail. how the server identifies these 3 uers. what are the internel process behind that.
I want to catch an exception when user enter no value in a Textbox and try to process further by press a button, I know I can use "If else" statement to make it. but in terms of "Try and Catch" block, I dont know how. Here is the code sample.
Dim NameString As String
Try
NameString = OperatorNameTextBox.Text
Catch ex As ArgumentException
MessageBox.Show("Enter a String Value")
End Try
