    Hi, does anyone know of a known method in PHP to auto connect to MySQL db/table in case an app is using multiple databases on multiple hosts? Question 1: are there scripts around that allow to auto connect to necessary host/DB based on query? Question 2: if above is not possible, is there a known approach to properly passing host/DB info to make sure app is properly connected before executing the query?

    I was wondering (if possible) if there was a program/tool/utility that when I create a new file and provide it with an extension that it creates the tags automatically? For example, a new file I create called index.php would have the appropriate tags auto-generated inside: <?php ?> I hope you get the idea. Does one, or could one, exist, preferably Windows based?     I have a data Table with numbers formatted according to the current regional settings. ie ( in French decimal separators are ',' instead of '.' in English). I need to export it to XML. Numbers in XML needs to be formatted according to the current regional settings.But now numbers in XML are formatted in English.Is there any way to make the number formatting in XML according to current regional settings ( or based on the locale of the Data Table) during the exporting process ?

  • What .NET serializers have fixed size output for a given class?

    XML based serializers have variable size output for a given class. I can't use them to append data to my Memcached list, since I won't be able to retrieve that information later. But if I knew my serializer produced a fixed size output (N bytes), I could retrieve my data by splitting my list in N bytes chunks and then deserializing those chunks individually. I have created my own serializer for my class, but what other serializers I could use?
