    Hello, I am developing a new Java Desktop app. Something like a media player. I want to load most of the resources in the background when the computer starts up. But the users can turn this option off form within the app or using some other utility. So, what I want to do is if a ban instance of the app is already running and the user starts the app again then I can communicate with the already running instance so that it can launch a new window?

    Hi there, I am taking credit card details and I am taking the expiration date in two form field, one for the expiration month and one for the expiration year, I am wanting to store the expiration date as timestamp. Will strtotime("05/2010") create a time stamp or do I need to pass a day as well or is there an alternative? Thanks

  • Add a custom jquery validation method not connected to a field

    Normally all validation methods is connected to a field, radiobuttons, dropdowns etc. In my case I would like to do a general custom validation that depends on many fields in my form. I dont want one field of them to become highlighted like a normal "required", i would rather just show a message in the errorcontainer. Is there a simple way to do this I have overlooked?

    Having a nightmare at the moment and just can't see why it isn't working I have a value in the form H:i (ie 10:00, 13:30) etc called $time What I want to do is create two new values, $startTime which is 30 mins before $time and $endTime which is 30 mins after $time I have tried the following but just doesn't seem to want to work $startTime = date("H:i",strtotime('-30 minutes',$time)); $endTime = date("H:i",strtotime('+30 minutes',$time)); If I pass through 10:00 as $time and echo out both $startTime and $endTime I get: $startTime = 00:30 $startTime = 01:30

    Hi. I'm using symfony with doctrine and I make a registration form. Email field is declared unique and if I set it to already existing one, I get the message An object with the same "email" already exist.. I use the following validator: $this->validatorSchema['email'] = new sfValidatorEmail(array('required' => true), array('invalid' => 'Does not seem to be a proper email')); How can I change the "already exists" message?     I have the following rewrite rule rewrite ^/ab(.*)/(.*)$ /repo/ab$1/rtest/$2 break; When the request file is /abname/index.php it gets rewritten to /abname/rtest/index.php But if the request is of the form /abname/dir1/index.php it gets rewritten as /abname/dir1/rtest/index.php but I would want it to be rewritten as /abname/rtest/dir1/index.php How do I write the rule ?
