  • When I change templates in Netbeans, why doesn't anything happen?

    I want to modify the "Java class" template, so that the class javadoc comment includes more than just the author. In Netbeans 6.8., I go to Tools Templates Java Java Class, and modify the template. However, nothing seems to change. I tried restarting Netbeans, just in case, but the old template is still used. How do I get Netbeans to recognize changes to the template for Java Classes?

    I'm getting an error WARNING: Method "pl" for function "pl" not found, I think its because I'm not declaring the parameters right. <function-signature>java.lang.String pl(java.lang.Long, java.lang.String)</function-signature> is what I have in the TLD. and public static String pl(long num, String str) is what I have in the .java file.

As I'm writing, one explanation that pops into my head is that the API pre-dates Java 1.5; and although the signatures would be source-level compatible, the binary interface would differ. Isn't it?

    12.04 LTS, on a dell mini 10. Install stable until about a week ago. Updated about 1x a week, sometimes more often. Several days ago, I booted up and the system was no longer working correctly. All these symptoms occurred simultaneously: Cannot run (exit on opening, every time): Update manager, software center, ubuntuOne, libreOffice.   • Android SDK emulator freezes on a Mac running OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard

    I'm having trouble running the Android SDK on both of my Macs running OS X 10.6.2 Snow Leopard. This appears to be a 64 bit vs. 32 bit issue, as Snow Leopard now defaults to 64-bit everything, including the Java virtual machine. I found this webpage with instructions on how to get the Android tools to run in the 32-bit Java VM, and I am now able to run the Android GUI tool to download SDK files, create AVM's, etc. However, when I try the Hello World tutorial and get to the point where I run my application under the Android emulator, everything goes south. The emulator appears to start but it hangs (spinning beachball of death cursor) without displaying anything. (This only hangs the emulator; the rest of the system still works fine.) If I follow the exact same steps (minus the 32-bit java hack) in a Windows virtual machine, everything works fine. Googling didn't yield anything useful (except for the 32-bit java hack I spoke of earlier). This occurs on both my Mac Pro tower and 13" MacBook Pro. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Hi I am having an application which requires inter process communication between different processes in different machines. Assume i have 2 processes in different machines which communicate usnig RPC. Everything works fine in the normal case. Now if i remove network and reconnect the same my processes still work however what happens is sometimes an RPC call(which sends a message from one process on one machine to another process on another machine) fails with an error code value of 3765269347, which may not really make any sense. This failure occurs only sometimes and i have no clue as to why this occurs. Anybody knows any reason why this may occur or general network related RPC issues. Thanks in advance.

    I've successfully got PartCover 2.3 working with VS 2008 on my 64-bit machine. I'm now trying to get it to work with VS 2010 and NUnit 2.5.3. I've got NUnit using the correct CLR version, but I can't get PartCover to produce any output. All I get is an "empty" report XML file: <PartCoverReport date="2010-03-30T16:09:05.1009099+01:00" /> How do I get PartCover 2.3 (or 2.2, I guess) to work with NUnit 2.5.3 on .NET 4.0?

    Working around an issue where my jquery datepicker does not display after postback within an update panel. The textbox (trigger) for the calendar is contained within a control, which is contained within an update panel. API functions. They wouldn't be documented if they were private, right? Can someone shed some light on this? Have you had an App approved or rejected using code similar to the above? I'm pretty sure that this is ok but i wan't to hear it from someone else! :)

    I have a server with CentOS 4.8 installed. The provided is rubbish, but there's only a few months left, and they're busy being sued by Chase bank, so I doubt I can get CentOS 5. I wiped the server clean using Virtuozzo, and found that the default image is VERY empty. I even had to install yum myself. I've reached the point where I want to install TomCat. I downloaded the Sun JRE as a .rpm.bin file, did chmod a+x and ran it.
