  • How do I use Loki's small object allocator?

    I need to use Loki's small object allocator but I am very confused as to how it works. I've read the documentation and lots of forums but it doesnt make sense: some of them say to use the stl, others use custom allocators. I just need to be able to test its performance with allocating and deallocating objects of different sizes. Could someone please provide a small example of how to use it?

    Hi all, I have a button which has an animation (in xaml) on it's click event. Cool so far. Problem is that I also have processing occurring on the click event (so I can do stuff) - and this occurs first. How do I prioritise or re-order so that the animation takes place before any custom processing... Thanks.

  • Cannot add Silverlight Maps Control to Windows Mobile 7 application

    I know the bits just came out today, but one of the first things I want to do with the newly released Windows Mobile 7 SDK is put a map up on the screen and mess around. I've downloaded the latest version of the Silverlight Maps Control and added the references to my application. As a matter of fact, the VS 2010 design view of the MainPage.xaml shows the map control after adding the namespace and placing the control. I'm using the provided VS 2010 Express version that comes with the Win Mobile 7 SDK and have just used the New Project - Windows Phone Application template. When I try to build I get two warnings related to the Microsoft.Maps.MapControl dll's. Warning 1 The primary reference "Microsoft.Maps.MapControl, Version=1.0.1.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=498d0d22d7936b73, processorArchitecture=MSIL" could not be resolved because it has an indirect dependency on the framework assembly "System.Windows.Browser, Version=2.0.5.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=7cec85d7bea7798e" which could not be resolved in the currently targeted framework. "Silverlight,Version=v4.0,Profile=WindowsPhone".   • Does webkit-scrollbar work with webkit-transition?

    I want a custom webkit-scrollbar to animate a different background color for the hover state. The code below changes the color on hover but doesn't animate anything.     My table structure is as follows: Person 1-M PesonAddress Person 1-M PesonPhone Person 1-M PesonEmail Person 1-M Contract Contract M-M Program Contract M-1 Organization At the end of this query I need a populated object graph where each person has their: PesonAddress's PesonPhone's PesonEmail's PesonPhone's Contract's - and this has its respective Program's Now I had the following query and I thought that it was working great, but it has a couple of problems: from people in ctx.People.Include("PersonAddress") .Include("PersonLandline") .Include("PersonMobile") .Include("PersonEmail") .Include("Contract") .Include("Contract.Program") where people.Contract.Any( contract => (param.OrganizationId == contract.OrganizationId) && contract.Program.Any( contractProgram => (param.ProgramId == contractProgram.ProgramId))) select people; The problem is that it filters the person to the criteria but not the Contracts or the Contract's Programs. It brings back all Contracts that each person has not just the ones that have an OrganizationId of x and the same goes for each of those Contract's Programs respectively. What I want is only the people that have at least one contract with an OrgId of x with and where that contract has a Program with the Id of y... and for the object graph that is returned to have only the contracts that match and programs within that contract that match. I kinda understand why its not working, but I don't know how to change it so it is working... Keeping in mind that I am trying to do this as a compiled query so I think that means anonymous types are out.

    I have few custom controls (image views) added programmatically to table cell. I want to hide them when table view goes into editing mode and show them again when view gets out of editing mode. I'm not using UITableViewCell subclasses, controls are added through tableView:cellForRowAtIndexPath: method. When and where should I do the hide/show? I'm wondering is this even possible without subclassing (where I could do this in layoutSubviews)...

  • Mapkit: Only show annotations in current view

    Instead of loading all annotations that are in my array, I would only like to load the annotations that the user could currently see cased on how far they are zoomed in on the map. So, if the user pans to a place where there are annotations, those would be added, and if they pan away, those would be removed. I assume this would help with memory. Does anyone know how to do something like this? And, is it worth it, or needed?

    Is there a way to protect your images from being copied, specifically their URL's. So that if someone were to try right click the image and copy the URL I could pop up an embed box, or perhaps specify my own particular copy code so that I dictate the terms of the copy? An alternate to this would be popping up a custom dialog box on right click with copy / embed options... How would one do this?

    Hi - I'm trying to capture the value that's throwing a uniqueness error (or for that matter, any other type of built-in validation) to display it in the :message option. Here's what I tried (didn't work) # inside the model validate_uniqueness_of :name, :message => "#{name} has already been taken" # also tried using #{:name} I could use a custom validation, but this beats the point of using something that's already integrated into AR. Why x64 installer is using WOW64 registry ?

The answer to the earlier question looks great, but I'm afraid that the Fluent Nhibernate API altered its .WithConvention syntax last year and broke the answer... either that or I'm missing something. I keep getting a bunch of name space not found errors relating to the IOneToOnePart, IManyToOnePart and all their variations: "The type or namespace name 'IOneToOnePart' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)" I've tried the official example dll's, the RTM dll's and the latest build and none of them seem to make VS 2008 see the required namespace.   • Minimum permission required to access Site Columns page and edit site columns

    We've started to adopt SharePoint 2010, and are starting to manually migrate content from SharePoint 2007 sites to new sites we're rebuilding from scratch in SP2010. One of the things we previously had supported was to delegate responsibility for managing some of our site columns to a member of the team. The team member is not familiar with SharePoint internals, and doesn't want the responsibility of full permissions to the site and all its objects. We're now trying to figure out what the minimum permission is that we need to grant our team member, so they can continue to edit (& propagate) the content of the site columns we've defined. Permissions he currently has (which are obviously insufficient): Site permissions (according to _layouts/user.aspx): Read, Contribute, Manage Lists Permissions for specific objects in the site (according to _layouts/people.aspxMembershipGroupId=xxx, then choosing Settings, View Group Permissions): server/sites/[sitename]: Contribute server/sites/[sitename]/Lists/[a list with columns that inherit from site columns]: "Contribute No Delete" Note: the "Contribute No Delete" permission is a custom permission I designed by copying the SharePoint-native "Contribute" permission set and deselecting the Delete permission. The "Manage Lists" permission is a custom permission I designed that includes the following specific permissions: (List Permissions) Manage Lists, View Items; (Site Permissions) View Pages, Open. Operations that are throwing access denied errors: _layouts/mngfield.aspx: SharePoint returns the "Error: Access Denied" dialog, and provides three clickable options: "Sign in as a different user", "Request access", and "Go back to site" _layouts/fldedit.aspx?field=Level%5Fx0020%5F3 [one of the site columns we've defined]: can load the page and type in changes to the textboxes "...but when I press OK (save changes) I get the same message above." When our team member clicks the "Request access" link, the email I receive sends me to a page that recommends that I grant the user membership in the "[sitename] Users" group - of which he's already a member. So while SP2010 tries to request access, it doesn't actually direct me to either (a) a valid group that has the correct permissions or (b) the specific object to which I need to grant our team member access. Also note: on the SP2007 (MOSS) site (where our team member was successful in managing Site Column edits), they had dozens of additional permissions throughout the site that we do not wish to blindly re-allocate in SP2010 until we know they're necessary. Any help anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.
