Hi,
I have the following LINQ query:
List<string> Types = (List<string>) Directory.GetFiles(@"C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727")
Where(x => System.IO.Path.GetFileNameWithoutExtension(x).Contains("Microsoft"))
.ToList<string>();
How could I modify this so it can only get the values stored in a collection, without writing another LINQ query (which I assume will impact performance?)?
Thanks
Now that the MVC 2 framework has been out for a while, I'm finding it very difficult to find documentation & answers specific to MVC2.
What are some good sites specific to MVC2?
Most of the applications that I'm finding, inncluding LiveHelp and PHP Live Chat! feature terrible, un-commented, non-cross-browser compatible Javascript.
I'm looking for chat software that uses a Javascript framework to avoid some persistent and common bugs related to the DOM.
How can i create a vanity url in codeigniter. Im having real trouble doing this in the framework. And there doesnt seem to be any good answers out there.
I need to design a new framework for web based apps, including both UX guidelines and the art/graphic design guidelines such as what menus will look like, headers, colors, fonts etc.
The UX designers I met, were unable to provide the artistic side, and the graphic designers didn't have the UX skills.
Should I continue to look for one person with both skills, or is it better broken to two separate tasks?
Do you know any books, articles, examples, screencasts that document how to develop an home screen widget on Android?
I just found these links:
widget design guidelines
Introducing home screen widgets and the AppWidget framework
I would like to develop a tiny home screen ticker and i'm searching for the proper way to code it.
I'm working on a simple framework, and I'm having a slight problem. I'd like to use call_user_function_array() to pass parameters to a function. That's fine, except the function I want to pass it to is __construct. I can't create an instance of an object with cufa(), and by instantiating an object, and then using cufa to call that instance's __construct(), I run into problems with a broken class because I'm calling the constructor twice (and one time it's called wrong.)
Suppose I want to write my own preprocessor.
So I want something like this:
all *.cpp and *.hpp (even the included ones), before they go to g++, they go:
file --> my preprocessor -> g++
Is there a easy way to do this in the LLVM framework? i.e. to add in a stage that says: "after you load up the source file, pipe it through this program before compling it" ?
Thanks!
i have created a simple c# winform program that uses MS sql, and several DLLs. what steps should i do in order to get the program run on another computer.
ie should i transfer the exe file + the dlls i used?
should i also install .net framework 3.5 on the other pc?
i used visual studio 2008 to compile.
Spring's @Autowire can be configured such that Spring will throw an error if no matching autowire candidates are found: @Autowire(required=false)
Is there an equivalent JSR-330 annotation? @Inject always fails if there is no matching candidate. Is there any way I can use @Inject but not have the framework fail if no matching types are found? I haven't been able to find any documentation to that extent.
I'm designing a web application.
I was wondering if it was feasible to design a php front end (using some php framework e.g. CakePHP), which stores and retrieves data to display to the user.
Then develop a java backend which listens to the database for changes, and depending on what was changed, performs some actions and updates the database.
Any thoughts on this type of implementation would be appreciated.
I'm trying to load an assembly that was installed as part of .Net 3.5 SP1 using Assembly.Load() by referencing its strong name. This works fine on my computer right now, but is it future proof?
Will the strong name of core .Net assemblies change when patches are installed or new versions of the .Net framework are released?
If so, how can I load an assembly from the GAC without using it's strong name?
I have office 2007 installed with .NET programmability checked.
From VS2005/VC#2008 Toolbox I tried to add new item which is axspreadsheet, unfortunately I could not find it from .NET Framework / COM reference
any ideas how to solve this problem? My main purpose is to load xls file to winform.
Thanks
More or less I want to execute two functions in parallel.
One way as I see is doing through SetTimeOut function.
I have not completely gone through the ReactiveExentension, although it looks promising but may be overkill for my needs.
Is there any framework which supports parallelism ?
My use case is trivial, but I would like to know if anybody heavily needed parallelism in Java Script ?
Thanks, Biswanath.
Which CMS are you using in Java and what is your experience with it (in terms of extensibility, usage comfort, framework API, memory usage, performance etc.). I am looking for suggestions.
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=ab99342f-5d1a-413d-8319-81da479ab0d7&displaylang=en
there we can see:
Full Package
To download the full package, rather than the bootstrapper, click on the link below:
.NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 (Full Package)
but this "Full" package still requires 50mb to download over the internet.
Is it possible to get the really-Full package to install on the desktop that haven't internet at all?
I have an error message like this:
<span class="errorMessage">Your input sucks!</span>
and I need to determine when it changes. the validation framework I'm using sets the text when there's an error and removes it when it's complete. I'm hoping to tap into that by watching for changes to the text property of the element using jquery. Any idea of how to go about doing this?
Thanks!
I have read about the Tuples provided with the coming-out of the new .NET Framework features, and still am I wondering about how it could be useful in real-world enterprise applications.
Can one give me a brief explanation along with a simple but real-world code sample?
Thanks! =)
How can I use javascript to send a one way message to php? I would like to get the browser information from javascript and just send it to php in the background. I know I can get some of this from php, but I'd rather use javascript. Is there a way to do this without a framework like jquery?
Using Git or Mercurial, how would you know when you do a clone or a pull, no one is checking in files (pushing it)? It can be important that:
1) You never know it is in an inconsistent state, so you try for 2 hours trying to debug the code for what's wrong.
2) With all the framework code -- potentially hundreds of files -- if some files are inconsistent with the other, can't the rake db:migrate or script/generate controller cause some damage or inconsistencies to the code base?
Let's say I've got:
Dim los1 as New List(Of String)
los1.Add("Some value")
Dim los2 as New List(Of String)
los2.Add("More values")
What would be the most efficient way to combine the two into a single List(Of String)?
Edit: While I'm loving the solutions everyone has provided so far, I probably should also mention I'm stuck using the .NET 2.0 framework. Any other suggestions?
I need to find a certain key in a pdf file. As far as I know the only way to do that is to interpret a pdf as txt file. I want to do this in PHP without installing a addon/framework/etc.
Thanks
