  • Two-Stage Rotation Warnings

    - by Kevin Sylvestre
I have an application that presents a modal UITabBarController. Each UIViewController contained in the UITabBarController implements should autorotate interface orientation. However, when I present the modal UITabBarController the following warnings appear in the console: Using two-stage rotation animation. To use the smoother single-stage animation, this application must remove two-stage method implementations. Using two-stage rotation animation is not supported when rotating more than one view controller or view controllers not the window delegate. Any ideas how to remove the warnings? Thanks.

  • Categorized Document Management System

    - by cmptrgeekken
At the company I work for, we have an intranet that provides employees with access to a wide variety of documents. These documents fall into several categories and subcategories, and each of these categories have their own web page. Below is one such page (each of the links shown will link to a similar view for that category): We currently store each document as a file on the web server and hand-code links to these documents whenever we need to add a new document. This is tedious and error-prone, and it also means we lack any sort of security for accessing these documents. I began looking into document management systems (like KnowledgeTree and OpenKM), however, none of these systems seem to provide a categorized view like in the preview above. My question is ... does anyone know of any Document Management System that allow for the type of flexibility we currently have with hand-coding links to our documents into various webpages (major and minor , while also providing security, ease of use, and (less important) version control? Or do you think I'd be better off developing such a system from scratch?

  • An offscreen MKMapView behaves differently in 3.2, 4.0

    - by Duane Fields
In 3.1 I've been using an "offscreen" MKMapView to create map images that I can rotate, crop and so forth before presenting them the user. In 3.2 and 4.0 this technique no longer works quite right. Here's some code that illustrates the problem, followed by my theory. // create map view _mapView = [[MKMapView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0, 0, MAP_FRAME_SIZE, MAP_FRAME_SIZE)]; _mapView.zoomEnabled = NO; _mapView.scrollEnabled = NO; _mapView.delegate = self; _mapView.mapType = MKMapTypeSatellite; // zoom in to something enough to fill the screen MKCoordinateRegion region; CLLocationCoordinate2D center = {30.267222, -97.763889}; region.center = center; MKCoordinateSpan span = {0.1, 0.1 }; region.span = span; _mapView.region = region; // set scrollview content size to full the imageView _scrollView.contentSize = _imageView.frame.size; // force it to load #ifndef __IPHONE_3_2 // in 3.1 we can render to an offscreen context to force a load UIGraphicsBeginImageContext(_mapView.frame.size); [_mapView.layer renderInContext:UIGraphicsGetCurrentContext()]; UIGraphicsEndImageContext(); #else // in 3.2 and above, the renderInContext trick doesn't work... // this at least causes the map to render, but it's clipped to what appears to be // the viewPort size, plus some padding [self.view addSubview:_mapView]; #endif when the map is done loading, I snap picture of it and stuff it in my scrollview - (void)mapViewDidFinishLoadingMap:(MKMapView *)mapView { NSLog(@"[MapBuilder] mapViewDidFinishLoadingMap"); // render the map to a UIImage UIGraphicsBeginImageContext(mapView.bounds.size); // the first sub layer is just the map, the second is the google layer, this sublayer structure might change of course [[[mapView.layer sublayers] objectAtIndex:0] renderInContext:UIGraphicsGetCurrentContext()]; // we are done with the mapView at this point, we need its ram! _mapView.delegate = nil; [_mapView release]; [_mapView removeFromSuperview]; _mapView = nil; UIImage* mapImage = [UIGraphicsGetImageFromCurrentImageContext() retain]; UIGraphicsEndImageContext(); _imageView.image = mapImage; [mapImage release], mapImage = nil; } The first problem is that in 3.1 rendering to a context would trigger the map to begin loading. This no longer works in 3.2, 4.0. The only thing I have found would trigger the load is to temporarily add the map to the view (i.e. make it visible). The problem being that the map only renders to the visible area of the screen, plus a little padding. The frame/bounds are fine, but it appears to be "helpfully" optimizes the loading to limit the tiles to those visible on the screen or close to it. Any ideas how to force the map to load at full size? Anyone else have this issue?

  • There is no ViewData item of type 'IEnumerable<SelectListItem>' that has the key 'xxx'.

    - by Jimbo
There are a couple of posts about this on Stack Overflow but none with an answer that seem to fix the problem in my current situation. I have a page with a table in it, each row has a number of text fields and a dropdown. All the dropdowns need to use the same SelectList data so I have set it up as follows: Controller ViewData["Submarkets"] = new SelectList(submarketRep.AllOrdered(), "id", "name"); View <%= Html.DropDownList("submarket_0", (SelectList)ViewData["Submarkets"], "(none)") %> I have used exactly this setup in many places, but for some reason in this particular view I get the error: There is no ViewData item of type 'IEnumerable' that has the key 'submarket_0'.

  • Silverlight 4 WCF RIA Services and MVVM is not as simple

    - by Thomas Jaskula
[Disclaimer: I'm ASP.NET MVC Developer] Hi, I'm looking for some best practices with implementing MVVM pattern with WCF RIA in Silverlight 4. I'm not looking to use MEF of IoC for locating my ViewModels. What I would like to know is how to apply MVVM pattern with Silverlight 4 and WCF RIA. I don't want to use other stuff like Prism or MVVM Light toolkit. I found many examples on Internet showing how it is wonderful to drag and drop a datasource on the view and the job is done (it reminds me about my first VB6 developments). I tried to implement MVVM with WCF RIA and it's not strightforward at all. If I understand, the MVVM should contain all the logic in order to unit test it in isolation but when it comes to combine it with WCF RIA it's another story. I have the following questions. Can I use a generated metadata as model ? It would be easier to use it that if I write all from the scratch. As I saw the only way I could get data is through DomainContext or through direct binding in the view (local ressource). I don't want the direct binding in the view, not testable at all. On the other hand I can't use DomainContext, it doesn't expose any single entity !!! All I have is the EntitySet that I can bind to datagrid. How do I bind a single Entity to the DataForm from the ViewModel ? How do I udpate the model to the database ? How do I navigate from one Entity to a collection of it's itemps. For example if I have a Company Entity I would like to show a DataFrom to update a entite informations and a datagrid to show companies adresses. When saving a form would like to save information to Company and for example an information avout which adress was selected as active. Please help me understand how to do it well. Or maybe I should drop the WCF RIA and to do it with WCF from scratch ? What do you think ?

  • android listview set dynamically background color of views

    - by Sephy
Hi everybody, I know that there have quite a lot of answers to similar questions but I couldn't find any solution to my question, so new topic : I'm creating a listview, with one basic view per row, my try is to change the background color of the view by .setbackgroundcolor, but nothing's doing the trick... I define an array of color at the beginning of my resources and i'm trying to display it, I also tried to put the array in the class, write the color like #00FF00, int, and I wanted to try 0x...... but as my colors are in an array, I can't do 0x+myColorsArray[i] because Eclipse tells me that it's not a proper hex color... I'm getting a bit desperate... thanks for any help

  • getting at a UIButton with the tag property IPhone

    - by dubbeat
    Hey There, I'm having a little trouble using the tag property to access a UIButton UIButton *randomButton = [[UIButton buttonWithType:UIButtonTypeRoundedRect ]retain]; randomButton.frame = CGRectMake(205, 145, 90, 22); // size and position of button [randomButton setTitle:@"Random" forState:UIControlStateNormal]; randomButton.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor]; randomButton.adjustsImageWhenHighlighted = YES; [randomButton addTarget:self action:@selector(getrandom:) forControlEvents:UIControlEventTouchUpInside]; randomButton.reversesTitleShadowWhenHighlighted=YES; randomButton.toggleButton [self.view addSubview:randomButton]; [randomButton release]; randomButton.tag=333; Then later on in code I try to get at the button in the following manner which gives me an error saying Incompatible Objective-C types initializing 'struct UIView *', expected 'struct UIButton *' UIButton *random = [self.view viewWithTag:333]; random.highlighted=NO;

  • Maintain cookie session in Android

    - by datguywhowanders
Okay, I have an android application that has a form in it, two EditText, a spinner, and a login button. The user selects the service from the spinner, types in their user name and password, and clicks login. The data is sent via POST, a response is returned, it's handled, a new webview is launched, the html string generated form the response is loaded, and I have the home page of whatever service the user selected. That's all well and good. Now, when the user clicks on a link, the login info can't be found, and the page asks the user to login again. My login session is being dropped somewhere, and I'm not certain how to pass the info from the class that controls the main part of my app to the class that just launches the webview activity. The on click handler from the form login button: private class FormOnClickListener implements View.OnClickListener { public void onClick(View v) { String actionURL, user, pwd, user_field, pwd_field; actionURL = "thePageURL"; user_field = "username"; //this changes based on selections in a spinner pwd_field = "password"; //this changes based on selections in a spinner user = "theUserLogin"; pwd = "theUserPassword"; List<NameValuePair> myList = new ArrayList<NameValuePair>(); myList.add(new BasicNameValuePair(user_field, user)); myList.add(new BasicNameValuePair(pwd_field, pwd)); HttpParams params = new BasicHttpParams(); DefaultHttpClient client = new DefaultHttpClient(params); HttpPost post = new HttpPost(actionURL); HttpResponse response = null; BasicResponseHandler myHandler = new BasicResponseHandler(); String endResult = null; try { post.setEntity(new UrlEncodedFormEntity(myList)); } catch (UnsupportedEncodingException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } try { response = client.execute(post); } catch (ClientProtocolException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } catch (IOException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } try { endResult = myHandler.handleResponse(response); } catch (HttpResponseException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } catch (IOException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } List cookies = client.getCookieStore().getCookies(); if (!cookies.isEmpty()) { for (int i = 0; i < cookies.size(); i++) { cookie = cookies.get(i); } } Intent myWebViewIntent = new Intent(MsidePortal.this, MyWebView.class); myWebViewIntent.putExtra("htmlString", endResult); myWebViewIntent.putExtra("actionURL", actionURL); startActivity(myWebViewIntent); } } And here is the webview class that handles the response display: public class MyWebView extends android.app.Activity{ private class MyWebViewClient extends WebViewClient { @Override public boolean shouldOverrideUrlLoading(WebView view, String url) { view.loadUrl(url); return true; } } @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.web); MyWebViewClient myClient = new MyWebViewClient(); WebView webview = (WebView)findViewById(R.id.mainwebview); webview.getSettings().setBuiltInZoomControls(true); webview.getSettings().setJavaScriptEnabled(true); webview.setWebViewClient(myClient); Bundle extras = getIntent().getExtras(); if(extras != null) { // Get endResult String htmlString = extras.getString("htmlString"); String actionURL = extras.getString("actionURL"); Cookie sessionCookie = MsidePortal.cookie; CookieSyncManager.createInstance(this); CookieManager cookieManager = CookieManager.getInstance(); if (sessionCookie != null) { cookieManager.removeSessionCookie(); String cookieString = sessionCookie.getName() + "=" + sessionCookie.getValue() + "; domain=" + sessionCookie.getDomain(); cookieManager.setCookie(actionURL, cookieString); CookieSyncManager.getInstance().sync(); } webview.loadDataWithBaseURL(actionURL, htmlString, "text/html", "utf-8", actionURL); } } } I've had mixed success implementing that cookie solution. It seems to work for one service I log into that I know keeps the cookies on the server (old, archaic, but it works and they don't want to change it.) The service I'm attempting now requires the user to keep cookies on their local machine, and it does not work with this setup. Any suggestions?

  • Making a ViewFlipper like the Home Screen using MotionEvent.ACTION_MOVE

    - by DJTripleThreat
Ok I have a ViewFlipper with three LinearLayouts nested inside it. It defaults to showing the first one. This code: // Assumptions in my Activity class: // oldTouchValue is a float // vf is my view flipper @Override public boolean onTouchEvent(MotionEvent touchEvent) { switch (touchEvent.getAction()) { case MotionEvent.ACTION_DOWN: { oldTouchValue = touchEvent.getX(); break; } case MotionEvent.ACTION_UP: { float currentX = touchEvent.getX(); if (oldTouchValue < currentX) { vf.setInAnimation(AnimationHelper.inFromLeftAnimation()); vf.setOutAnimation(AnimationHelper.outToRightAnimation()); vf.showNext(); } if (oldTouchValue > currentX) { vf.setInAnimation(AnimationHelper.inFromRightAnimation()); vf.setOutAnimation(AnimationHelper.outToLeftAnimation()); vf.showPrevious(); } break; } case MotionEvent.ACTION_MOVE: { // TODO: Some code to make the ViewFlipper // act like the home screen. break; } } return false; } public static class AnimationHelper { public static Animation inFromRightAnimation() { Animation inFromRight = new TranslateAnimation( Animation.RELATIVE_TO_PARENT, +1.0f, Animation.RELATIVE_TO_PARENT, 0.0f, Animation.RELATIVE_TO_PARENT, 0.0f, Animation.RELATIVE_TO_PARENT, 0.0f); inFromRight.setDuration(350); inFromRight.setInterpolator(new AccelerateInterpolator()); return inFromRight; } public static Animation outToLeftAnimation() { Animation outtoLeft = new TranslateAnimation( Animation.RELATIVE_TO_PARENT, 0.0f, Animation.RELATIVE_TO_PARENT, -1.0f, Animation.RELATIVE_TO_PARENT, 0.0f, Animation.RELATIVE_TO_PARENT, 0.0f); outtoLeft.setDuration(350); outtoLeft.setInterpolator(new AccelerateInterpolator()); return outtoLeft; } // for the next movement public static Animation inFromLeftAnimation() { Animation inFromLeft = new TranslateAnimation( Animation.RELATIVE_TO_PARENT, -1.0f, Animation.RELATIVE_TO_PARENT, 0.0f, Animation.RELATIVE_TO_PARENT, 0.0f, Animation.RELATIVE_TO_PARENT, 0.0f); inFromLeft.setDuration(350); inFromLeft.setInterpolator(new AccelerateInterpolator()); return inFromLeft; } public static Animation outToRightAnimation() { Animation outtoRight = new TranslateAnimation( Animation.RELATIVE_TO_PARENT, 0.0f, Animation.RELATIVE_TO_PARENT, +1.0f, Animation.RELATIVE_TO_PARENT, 0.0f, Animation.RELATIVE_TO_PARENT, 0.0f); outtoRight.setDuration(350); outtoRight.setInterpolator(new AccelerateInterpolator()); return outtoRight; } } ... handles the view flipping but the animations are very "on/off". I'm wondering if someone can help me out with the last part. Assuming that I can access the LinearLayouts, is there a way where I can set the position of the layouts based on deltaX and deltaY? Someone gave me this link: https://android.git.kernel.org/?p=platform/frameworks/base.git;a=blob;f=core/java/android/view/animation/TranslateAnimation.java;h=d2ff754ac327dda0fe35e610752abb78904fbb66;hb=HEAD and said I should refer to the applyTransformation method for hints on how to do this but I don't know how to repeat this same behavior.

  • WPF: Checkbox in a ListView/Gridview--How to Get ListItem in Checked/Unchecked Event?

  • asp.net mvc Ajax.BeginForm

    - by Bala R
Hello, I'm having some difficulties with Ajax.BeginForm I have something like this in a view <% using (Ajax.BeginForm("ActionName", null , null, new { id = "FormName" })) {%> <input type="hidden" value = '<%= Html.Encode( Model.id) %>' name="id"/> <textarea id="message" name=message rows="4" style="width: 90%"> </textarea> <% }%} And the action method is something like this [AcceptVerbs(HttpVerbs.Post)] [Authorize] public ActionResult ActionName(int id, string message) { .... } I'm trying to pass the 'id' and 'message' to the action method. I'm passing 'null' for routeValues but I dont know what to pass. Ideally I was trying to find an overload that did not require route values but took actionName and htmlattributes (for form name) but I could not find one.I don't want to add 'message' to the view-model and I do need the FormName in there for jquery operations. What is the best way to work around this problem ?

  • FSharp.Core.sigdata not found alongside FSharp.Core

    - by Mauricio Scheffer
I'm trying to use F# for an ASP.NET MVC application. One my controller actions sends an F# list to the view, so I write: <%@ Page Language="C#" Inherits="ViewPage<FSharpList<int>>" %> Of course, for this to work, I have to add Microsoft.FSharp.Collections to the namespaces element in my web.config: <add namespace="Microsoft.FSharp.Collections"/> and add a reference to FSharp.Core, in the assemblies element: <add assembly="FSharp.Core, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a"/> As soon as I add this assembly reference, every view (whether it uses an F# type or not) fails with this error: error FS1221: FSharp.Core.sigdata not found alongside FSharp.Core I can work around this by not having any F# specific types in my views, but what's the reason for this error? Also, where's FSharp.Core.sigdata ? It's not in my GAC and I can't find it anywhere.

  • TTThumbsViewController + navigationController issue

    - by michael
Hi, .. 2 questions. I am only using Three20 for a gallery in my app. When I push my .. : TTThumbsViewController from another view, the navigation bar is not the color I want it to be (as per the rest of my app). I have set up a TTDefaultStyleSheet as per this stackoverflow QA. Is there something special I have to do as I am only using the TTThumbsViewController? The thumbs view is also created with extra space at the top, as though it is leaving room for a navigation controller, without knowing that one is already there. How can I tell the TTThumbsViewController to use the existing uinavigationcontroller? Or behave as though it is? MYThumbsViewController *mYThumbsViewController = [MYThumbsViewController alloc]; [self.navigationController pushViewController:mYThumbsViewController animated:YES]; The problem depicted graphically: Thanks!

  • ASP.NET MVC Html.ValidationSummary(true) does not display model errors

    - by msi
    I have some problem with Html.ValidationSummary. I don't want to display property errors in ValidationSummary. And when I set Html.ValidationSummary(true) it does not display error messages from ModelState. When there is some Exception in controller action on string MembersManager.RegisterMember(member); catch section adds an error to the ModelState: ModelState.AddModelError("error", ex.Message); But ValidationSummary does not display this error message. When I set Html.ValidationSummary(false) all messages are displaying, but I don't want to display property errors. How can I fix this problem? Here is the code I'm using: Model: public class Member { [Required(ErrorMessage = "*")] [DisplayName("Login:")] public string Login { get; set; } [Required(ErrorMessage = "*")] [DataType(DataType.Password)] [DisplayName("Password:")] public string Password { get; set; } [Required(ErrorMessage = "*")] [DataType(DataType.Password)] [DisplayName("Confirm Password:")] public string ConfirmPassword { get; set; } } Controller: [HttpPost] public ActionResult Register(Member member) { try { if (!ModelState.IsValid) return View(); MembersManager.RegisterMember(member); } catch (Exception ex) { ModelState.AddModelError("error", ex.Message); return View(member); } } View: <% using (Html.BeginForm("Register", "Members", FormMethod.Post, new { enctype = "multipart/form-data" })) {%> <p> <%= Html.LabelFor(model => model.Login)%> <%= Html.TextBoxFor(model => model.Login)%> <%= Html.ValidationMessageFor(model => model.Login)%> </p> <p> <%= Html.LabelFor(model => model.Password)%> <%= Html.PasswordFor(model => model.Password)%> <%= Html.ValidationMessageFor(model => model.Password)%> </p> <p> <%= Html.LabelFor(model => model.ConfirmPassword)%> <%= Html.PasswordFor(model => model.ConfirmPassword)%> <%= Html.ValidationMessageFor(model => model.ConfirmPassword)%> </p> <div> <input type="submit" value="Create" /> </div> <%= Html.ValidationSummary(true)%> <% } %>

  • iPhone Curl Left and Curl Right transitions

    - by Dimitris
I am looking for a way to do a UIViewAnimationTransitionCurlUp or UIViewAnimationTransitionCurlDown transition on the iPhone but instead of top to bottom, do it from the left to right (or top/bottom in landscape mode). I've seen this asked aroud the internet a few times but none sems to get an answer. However I feel this is doable. I have tried changing the View's transform and the view.layer's transform but that didn't affect the transition. Since the transition changes when the device changes orientation I presume there is a way to fool the device to use the landscape transition in portrait mode and vice versa?

  • Android -- Linkify and ListView

    - by Ryan
Is there any way to Linkify a specific TextView that is contained within a ListView? I tried using android:autoLink="all" but that didn't work. I was getting an out of context error. Important also to note: the ListView is my second view in the ViewFlipper. I have also tried: TextView infoText = (TextView) findViewById(R.id.rowText2); Linkify.addLinks(infoText, Linkify.ALL); Right after the adapter was bound to the ListView and the View was switched. No luck. Any Ideas? Thanks in advance!!!

  • How To Rotate An MPMoviePlayerController

    - by Dwaine Bailey
I am building an iPhone app that plays videos on demand from a web service. The videos play in an MPMoviePlayerController, and everything works fine on the iPhone device. However, when one loads up the iPhone application on an iPad, the videos play Portrait mode (with letterboxing on the top and bottom), instead of Landscape Left like they do on the iPhone. At first the videos were not appearing at all, however I fixed this by adding the MPMoviePlayerControllers view to the view that is creating it, as a subview, and then set it to play fullscreen. -- Edit To Original: I now have it playing on the iPad in all rotations. Is there any way to stop it rotating, and just have it play LandscapeLeft? Thanks, Dwaine

  • Image Preview in ASP.NET MVC

    - by imran_ku07
Introduction :         Previewing an image is a great way to improve the UI of your site. Also it is always best to check the file type, size and see a preview before submitting the whole form. There are some ways to do this using simple JavaScript but not work in all browsers (like FF3).In this Article I will show you how do this using ASP.NET MVC application. You also see how this will work in case of nested form.   Description :          Create a new ASP.NET MVC project and then add a file upload and image control into your View. <form id="form1" method="post" action="NerdDinner/ImagePreview/AjaxSubmit">            <table>                <tr>                    <td>                        <input type="file" name="imageLoad1" id="imageLoad1"  onchange="ChangeImage(this,'#imgThumbnail')" />                    </td>                </tr>                <tr>                    <td align="center">                        <img src="images/TempImage.gif" id="imgThumbnail" height="200px" width="200px">                     </td>                </tr>            </table>        </form>           Note that here NerdDinner is refers to the virtual directory name, ImagePreview is the Controller and ImageLoad is the action name which you will see shortly          I will use the most popular jQuery form plug-in, that turns a form into an AJAX form with very little code. Therefore you must get these from Jquery site and then add these files into your page.          <script src="NerdDinner/Scripts/jquery-1.3.2.js" type="text/javascript"></script>        <script src="NerdDinner/Scripts/jquery.form.js" type="text/javascript"></script>            Then add the javascript function. <script type="text/javascript">function ChangeImage(fileId,imageId){ $("#form1").ajaxSubmit({success: function(responseText){ var d=new Date(); $(imageId)[0].src="NerdDinner/ImagePreview/ImageLoad?a="+d.getTime(); } });}</script>             This function simply submit the form named form1 asynchronously to ImagePreviewController's method AjaxSubmit and after successfully receiving the response, it will set the image src property to the action method ImageLoad. Here I am also adding querystring, preventing the browser to serve the cached image.           Now I will create a new Controller named ImagePreviewController. public class ImagePreviewController : Controller { [AcceptVerbs(HttpVerbs.Post)] public ActionResult AjaxSubmit(int? id) { Session["ContentLength"] = Request.Files[0].ContentLength; Session["ContentType"] = Request.Files[0].ContentType; byte[] b = new byte[Request.Files[0].ContentLength]; Request.Files[0].InputStream.Read(b, 0, Request.Files[0].ContentLength); Session["ContentStream"] = b; return Content( Request.Files[0].ContentType+";"+ Request.Files[0].ContentLength ); } public ActionResult ImageLoad(int? id) { byte[] b = (byte[])Session["ContentStream"]; int length = (int)Session["ContentLength"]; string type = (string)Session["ContentType"]; Response.Buffer = true; Response.Charset = ""; Response.Cache.SetCacheability(HttpCacheability.NoCache); Response.ContentType = type; Response.BinaryWrite(b); Response.Flush(); Session["ContentLength"] = null; Session["ContentType"] = null; Session["ContentStream"] = null; Response.End(); return Content(""); } }             The AjaxSubmit action method will save the image in Session and return content type and content length in response. ImageLoad action method will return the contents of image in response. Then clear these Sessions.           Just run your application and see the effect.   Checking Size and Content Type of File:          You may notice that AjaxSubmit action method is returning both content type and content length. You can check both properties before submitting your complete form.     $(myform).ajaxSubmit({success: function(responseText)            {                                var contentType=responseText.substring(0,responseText.indexOf(';'));                var contentLength=responseText.substring(responseText.indexOf(';')+1);                // Here you can do your validation                var d=new Date();                $(imageId)[0].src="http://weblogs.asp.net/MoneypingAPP/ImagePreview/ImageLoad?a="+d.getTime();            }        });  Handling Nested Form Case:          The above code will work if you have only one form. But this is not the case always. You may have a form control which wraps all the controls and you do not want to submit the whole form, just for getting a preview effect.           In this case you need to create a dynamic form control using JavaScript, and then add file upload control to this form and submit the form asynchronously  function ChangeImage(fileId,imageId)         {            var myform=document.createElement("form");                    myform.action="NerdDinner/ImagePreview/AjaxSubmit";            myform.enctype="multipart/form-data";            myform.method="post";            var imageLoad=document.getElementById(fileId).cloneNode(true);            myform.appendChild(imageLoad);            document.body.appendChild(myform);            $(myform).ajaxSubmit({success: function(responseText)                {                                    var contentType=responseText.substring(0,responseText.indexOf(';'));                    var contentLength=responseText.substring(responseText.indexOf(';')+1);                    var d=new Date();                    $(imageId)[0].src="http://weblogs.asp.net/MoneypingAPP/ImagePreview/ImageLoad?a="+d.getTime();                    document.body.removeChild(myform);                }            });        }            You also need append the child in order to send request and remove them after receiving response.

  • iphone - creating a reference to a MPMoviePlayerController

    - by Mike
At some point in my code I am creating a MPMoviePlayerController object and playing it. As I need to reference this object at some other methods in my code that runs asynchronously, I need to store a pointer to the movie object etc., so I can use that. Declaring MPMoviePlayerController * myMovie on the header file is out of question, because the compiler will give me an error saying "expected specifier-qualifier-list before 'MPMoviePlayerController'". If it was a view I could do something like [self.view viewWithTag:99]; to get the object, but the MPMoviePlayerController does not allow this. How can I obtain the movie object or store a reference to it, so I can call the object in other methods? thanks for any help.

  • Bug with asp.net mvc2, collection and ValidationMessageFor ?

    - by Rafael Mueller
    I'm with a really weird bug with asp.net mvc2 (rtm) and ValidationMessageFor. The example below throws a System.Collections.Generic.KeyNotFoundException on Response.Write(Html.ValidationMessageFor(n = n[index].Name)); Any ideas why thats happening? I'm accessing the same dictionary twice before, but it only throws the error on ValidationMessageFor, any thoughts? Here's the code. public class Parent { public IList<Child> Childrens { get; set; } [Required] public string Name { get; set; } } public class Child { [Required] public string Name { get; set; } } The controller public class ParentController : Controller { public ActionResult Create() { var parent = new Parent { Name = "Parent" }; parent.Childrens = new List<Child> { new Child(), new Child(), new Child() }; return View(parent); } } The view (Create.aspx) <%@ Page Title="" Language="C#" MasterPageFile="~/Views/Shared/Site.Master" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewPage<Parent>" %> <%@ Import Namespace="BugAspNetMVC" %> <asp:Content ID="Content2" ContentPlaceHolderID="MainContent" runat="server"> <%Html.EnableClientValidation(); %> <% using (Html.BeginForm()) {%> <%=Html.LabelFor(p => p.Name)%> <%=Html.TextBoxFor(p => p.Name)%> <%=Html.ValidationMessageFor(p => p.Name)%> <%Html.RenderPartial("Childrens", Model.Childrens); %> <%} %> </asp:Content> And the partial view (Childrens.ascx) <%@ Control Language="C#" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewUserControl<IList<Child>>" %> <%@ Import Namespace="BugAspNetMVC"%> <% for (int i = 0; i < Model.Count; i++) { var index = i; Response.Write(Html.LabelFor(n => n[index].Name)); Response.Write(Html.TextBoxFor(n => n[index].Name)); Response.Write(Html.ValidationMessageFor(n => n[index].Name)); } %>

  • Django - How best to handle ValidationErrors after form.save(commit=False)

    - by orokusaki
This is a fragment of my code from a view: if form.is_valid(): instance = form.save(commit=False) try: instance.account = request.account instance.full_clean() except ValidationError, e: # Do something with the errors here... I don't know what the best thing to do here is, but I certainly don't want to do it 180 times. This is an utter mess. Who would want to handle validation errors manually in every view. If you're not modifying the instance after save(commit=False), you don't have to worry about this, but what about in my case where every model has a foreign key to account which is set behind the scenes and hidden from the user? Any help is really appreciated.

  • Change Default Scrolling Behavior of UITableView Section Header

    - by davidjhinson
I have a UITableView with two sections. It is a simple table view. I am using viewForHeaderInSection to create custom views for these headers. So far, so good. The default scrolling behavior is that when a section is encountered, the section header stays anchored below the Nav bar, until the next section scrolls into view. My question is this: can I change the default behavior so that the section headers do NOT stay anchored at the top, but rather, scroll under the nav bar with the rest of the section rows? Am I missing something obvious? Thanks.
