• 2 sites each in a different country with 1 set of content (cloaking)

  Hi, I have a question re: cloaking. I have a friend who has a business in Canada and the UK. Currently the .ca site is hosted on Godaddy. The co.uk domain is registered (with uk ip address) with domainmonster and is using a cloaked/framed redirect to the .ca site. As a result (my assumption) the .ca site is indexed fine by google, the .co.uk is not. The content is generic for both sites. How do I point the .co.uk site directly to the content independently (preferably without duplicating the content hosting in the UK), so that for instance if the .ca domain was taken away altogether the .co.uk domain would remain an entity in itself from Google's point of view? Does Google index a generic set of content and then associate different country domains with that content? I hope I have explained this ok. Thanks, Greg

• Dynamically added script causes problems

  I'm loading an html snippet via ajax to append to a div (I use jquery). A part of the html loaded with ajax looks like this: <script type="text/javascript" src="http://maps.google.com/maps/api/js?sensor=false"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> var options = { mapTypeId : google.maps.MapTypeId.TERRAIN } alert('test'); var map = new google.maps.Map(document.getElementById('map-canvas'), options); </script> Then this is appended with contentBox.append(data); The problem is that this causes a black page in Firefox which keeps loading. In other browsers it seems that the code is not executed at all. Is there a solution for this?

• Nested svn repositories

  I got a "Project A" in repository. But in that project I'm using a library, which is hosted on Google Code. There is my question: is there any way, to have that library files "hooked" to Google Code SVN, and simultaneously my project in my repo (it's parent to that library), so I can commit library files into my repository when I decide, that outer project revision is ok? I've tried to do checkout in the library folder, files were downloaded from Google's Code repository. But I that case wasn't able to add them to my repository - they weren't visible in "Add" window.

  Using HTML/Javascript I want to make an link trigger a flash object that is normally triggered by clicking on the flash itself. So I want to be able to trigger that action by having a user click on a different link (which would actually be the phone number that the widget would call.)

• what do i have to do when using libraries with BSD license?

  I am making a game using Lwjgl and this is their license. What I don't understand is what must I do? I plan on making a game and distributing it, not the source code just the .jar file and maybe sell it for a few dollars. It said that I must retain the copyright, so would that mean I must include the doc folder that the library comes with in the jar or do I have to make something in-game like credits and say "made with lwjgl"?

• Can a flex app (or a portion of a flex app) be made transparent to mouse clicks?

  I need to superimpose my Flex app above a plain HTML control on a web page, and be able to click through the Flex app to interact with the HTML control. Is there any way to do this? No permutation of mouseEnabled="false" or mouseChildren="false" seems to have the desired effect. Context: trying to integrate Google Earth API (JavaScript/HTML) with my flex app. I am leaving a portion of the flex app transparent and empty, and positioning the Google Earth widget just below that point in the z-index. Google Earth has to be behind flex, because there are some Flex controls periodically displayed in that space.

  Hi, I have an interface named IHarvester. There are 3 implementations of that interface, each under their own namespace: Google Yahoo Bing A HarvesterManager uses the given harvester. It knows the interface and all 3 implementations. I want some way of letting the class user say in which harvester it wants to use. And in the code select that implementation, without a switch-case implementation. Can reflection save my day? • iPhone - Image overlay MapKit framework?

  I can see with iOS4 you can now tile an image on google maps (Been looking at the TileMap example from apple). This is great as this is what I want to do, but from what I can see I need to know the GEO reference of the image so I can raster the images with the appropriate zoom levels, etc. What I have is an artist image, which is a map of a specific area and I want to overlay this image on google maps. Am I missing something here, but can this be done with a none standard map and having different zoom levels? The main reason why I need to use google maps is because of the GPS functionality, so the user will know where they currently are on the map.

  Igaz, az idei Oracle Open World (OOW) már régen volt, de akkor ez a blog még nem létezett. Ugyanakkor azóta többektol kaptam kérdést az OOW-n tett E-Business Suite támogatással kapcsolatos bejelentés értelmezésére vonatkozóan. Ezért gondoltam, hasznos lehet a magyar felhasználók számára, ha írok pár sort a bejelentésrol. Az E-Business Suite (EBS) 11.5.10 verzióhoz kapcsolódó bejelentés: Az Oracle Élettartam Támogatási modellje szerint ez a verzió általánosan 2004. novembertol volt elérheto, melyre az Oracle 2010. november 30-ig biztosított Premier Támogatást, 2010. December 1-tol 2013. november végéig pedig Meghosszabbított Támogatást nyújt. Jövo év december 1-tol az EBS 11.5.10 verzió Fenntartó Támogatás szakaszba kerül. Fenntartó Támogatás szakaszban az újonnan felfedezett bug-okat már nem javítja a Fejlesztés. A bejelentés szerint Oracle a 11.5.10 esetében kivételt tesz és a 2013. december 1-tol 2014. november 30-ig terjedo idoszakban az éles üzemet érinto 1-es súlyossági szintu problémák esetében biztosítani fogja új hibák javítását is. Amire ügyelni érdemes, a rendszer a  Doc ID 883202.1 My Oracle Support dokumentumban részletezett minimum patch szinten kell legyen.   Ez a plusz szolgáltatás nem befolyásolja a támogatási díjat. Az E-Business Suite (EBS) 12.1 verzióhoz kapcsolódó bejelentés   Az EBS 12.1 verzió Meghosszabbított támogatásának eredetileg mehírdetett idoszaka 2014. május 1. – 2017. április 30. volt. Oracle ezt az idoszakot 19 hónappal megtoldotta, így ennek a verziónak a Meghosszabbított Támogatása 2018. december 31-ig tart majd. További jó hír e verziót használó Ügyfeleink számára, hogy a Meghosszabbított Támogatás emelt díjától az Oracle eltekint. Standard Oracle árazás szerint a Meghosszabbított Támogatás elso évében a szolgáltatási díj a Premier Támogatás díjának 110%-a, a második, ill. harmadik években a Premier Támogatás díjának 120%-a. Oracle jelen esetben a plusz 10%-tól, ill. a plusz 20 %-tól eltekint. Íly módon a Meghosszabbított Támogatást Oracle a Premier Támogatás díjért biztosítja majd. • How to check for an active Internet Connection on iPhone SDK?

  I would like to check to see if I have an Internet connection on the iPhone using the Cocoa Touch libraries. I came up with a way to do this using an NSUrl. The way I did it seems a bit unreliable (because even Google could one day be down and relying on a 3rd party seems bad) and while I could check to see for a response from some other websites if Google didn't respond, it does seem wasteful and an unnecessary overhead on my application. - (BOOL) connectedToInternet { NSString *URLString = [NSString stringWithContentsOfURL:[NSURL URLWithString:@"http://www.google.com"]]; return ( URLString != NULL ) ? • Are there hosted jQuery UI themes anywhere? [closed]

  Possible Duplicate: Downloading jQuery CSS from Google's CDN I'm using Google-hosted jQuery and jQueryUI, but I'm wondering if there are hosted jQueryUI themes anywhere? I'd like to just point to a hosted CSS file (the same way I do with the hosted JS file), so that I don't have to worry about setting up directories for the widget images or the CSS files or anything like that. Update I've found this, referenced by the jqueryui.com source code: <link rel="stylesheet" href="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jqueryui/1.7.2/themes/ui-lightness/jquery-ui.css" type="text/css" media="all" /> Substituting the name of other themes from the themeroller page seems to work, but I'd love it if someone could find where on Google they list all the available themes that they are hosting. (note exclamation mark is not part of the URL) Is http://somesite.com/ down for anyone else? Output: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IY2j_GPIqRA http://google.com http://somesite.com/ I've already borrowed one regular expression from the internet which works, but unfortunately wipes the query string out - not good! Any help putting together a regular expression, or perhaps another solution to this problem, would be appreciated.

  I would like to do this: tell application "Finder" to set appName to (application file id "com.google.Chrome") as text using terms from application appName tell application appName to get URL of active tab of first window end using terms from This doesn't work because "using terms from" requires an application name as a string constant. If i substitute this line: using terms from application appName with this one using terms from application "Google Chrome" it works. However I don't want to rely on the target machine having the application named "Google Chrome". Using the bundle identifiers seems safer. Is there a better way to do this?

  I have a site that has certain urls that point to pages with permanent data and others that point to dynamic web pages. Google indexes both these regularly. By the time a user finds one of the dynamic content urls, the data on the page has already changed and the user does not find what he was looking for. Further, the dynamic url pages contains links to the permanent urls (which I want Google or any crawler to index). Google crawler controls (webmaster tools) cannot be made to read urls from a page but not index them. Solutions? crawling strategies *system architecture*.
