• Virtualmin - Domain / Subdomain confusion

  Hi, I've just purchased a new VPS and setup Virtualmin on it. I pointed my domain at the IP of the server and set up a new virtual server through Virtualmin. I uploaded a simple php script to check it was working and it seemed to be fine. I then created a subserver and also pointed test.mydomain.com to my IP, with the intension of having mydomain.com and test.mydomain.com both pointing to different directories on my VPS. However, once I added the subserver, I received a 403 Forbidden message if I tried to access either the new subdomain OR the existing site. I uploaded a similar php script to the subfolder and it then displayed correctly. However, I now get sent to the same script regardless of what URL I type in. I did try posting this message on the Virtualmin forum, but their filters picked it up as spam and wouldn't allow it. Can anyone help me? I'm sure it's just something simple, but this is driving me crazy! Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

Neither the exec plugin documentation nor the Maven Ant tasks pages had any sort of straightforward example.   I made the following test for my class: var mock = new Mock<IRandomNumberGenerator>(); mock.Setup(framework => framework.Generate(0, 50)) .Returns(7.0); var rnac = new RandomNumberAverageCounter(mock.Object, 1, 100); rnac.Run(); double result = rnac.GetAverage(); Assert.AreEqual(result, 7.0, 0.1); The problem here was that I changed my mind about what range of values Generate(int min, int max) would use. So in Mock.Setup() I defined the range as from 0 to 50 while later I actually called the Generate() method with a range from 1 to 100. I ran the test and it failed. I know that that is what it's supposed to happen but I was left wondering if isn't there a way to launch an exception or throw in a message when trying to run the method with wrong params. Also, if I want to run this Generate() method 10 times with different values (let's say, from 1 to 10), will I have to make 10 mock setups or something, or is there a special method for it?   Define a positive number to be isolated if none of the digits in its square are in its cube. For example 163 is n isolated number because 69*69 = 26569 and 69*69*69 = 4330747 and the square does not contain any of the digits 0, 3, 4 and 7 which are the digits used in the cube. On the other hand 162 is not an isolated number because 162*162=26244 and 162*162*162 = 4251528 and the digits 2 and 4 which appear in the square are also in the cube. Write a function named isIsolated that returns 1 if its argument is an isolated number, it returns 0 if its not an isolated number and it returns -1 if it cannot determine whether it is isolated or not (see the note below). The function signature is: int isIsolated(long n) Note that the type of the input parameter is long. The maximum positive number that can be represented as a long is 63 bits long. This allows us to test numbers up to 2,097,151 because the cube of 2,097,151 can be represented as a long. However, the cube of 2,097,152 requires more than 63 bits to represent it and hence cannot be computed without extra effort. Therefore, your function should test if n is larger than 2,097,151 and return -1 if it is. If n is less than 1 your function should also return -1. • Background loading javascript into iframe without using jQuery/Ajax?

  I'm working on an offline only help system which requires loading a large amount of search-related data into an iframe before the search functionality can be used. Due to the folder structure of the project, I am unable to use Ajax-related background load methods, since the files I need are loaded a few directories "up and over." I have written some code which delays the loading of the help data until the rest of the webpage is loaded. The help data consists of a bunch of javascript files which have information about the terms, ect that exist in the help books which are installed on the system. The webpage works fine, until I start to load this help data into a hidden iframe. While the javascript files are loading, I can not use any of the webpage. Links that require a small files be downloaded for hover over effects don't show up, javascript (switching tabs on the page) has no effect. I'm wondering if this is just a limitation of the way javascript works, or if there's something else going on here. • Emacs - nxhtml-mode - memory full

  working with nxhtml-mode in emacs, I get problems since a few weeks. While working emacs pauses unexpectingly until showing a message in the mode line "!MEM FULL!"; obviously nxhtml-mode is filling up the memory until emacs stopps to work. I am working with html, php and css files. I have no idea how I could debug this problem in a meaningfull way. Also I seem to be the only one to have this problem, because googling did not deliver any answers to this question. I am using emacs 2.32 on an Linux Mint 11 system. I can not find out the verson of nxhtml, it says revision 829 downloaded from http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~nxhtml/nxhtml/main/revision/829. I set up a test scenario with a minimal dot-emacs just to test the nxhtml-mode. It seemed to be alright, but it does not reflect my productive set up. It would probably take a week or so to gradually include everything I used to use within emacs (e.g. org-mode) while testing whether nxhtml-mode does not like anything, which is called in my dot-emacs file. Is there another way? Can I find out, what causes the memory overload? Does anyone has similar problems using nxhtml-mode? Greetings Martin

  I want to sanitize html tags from my wysiwyg. I want to replace certain tags with another. This almost works only the replaceWith() is also removing the content from within the tags. I dont want to do this. I just want to replace the tags. Here is what I have so far. • Page does update with details from the database after i hit a button

  I have a code and the way it should work is,when they click on NEW CUSTOMER,it takes them to test1.php where in they enter the details and they hit submit.it saves all the details in properly in the database and when i go back and hit REFRESH ,it should come up with the customer details which they had entered in previously. But what happens is, when i click on the REFRESH,it refreshes the same old page which is empty.I wanted to find out where am i missing the logic.Thanks in advance.   Hi, I am using a Javascript function to get the values of a URL to pass to jQuery using the function below: function getUrlVars() { var vars = [], hash; var hashes = window.location.href.slice(window.location.href.indexOf('?') + 1).split('&'); for(var i = 0; i < hashes.length; i++) { hash = hashes[i].split('='); vars.push(hash[0]); vars[hash[0]] = hash[1]; } return vars; } And then setting the value like this: var type = getUrlVars()["type"] This all works perfectly, however I have just come into a situation where I need to get multiple values, one of my form elements are checkboxes where multiple values can be checked, so my URL will look something like this: http://www.domain.com/test.php?type=1&cuisine[]=23&cuisine[]=43&name=test If I alert out the cuisine value using the function above I only ever get the final value: alert (getUrlVars()["cuisine[]"]); Would alert "43". What I would like it to be is a comma delimited string of all "cuisine" values. ie in the above example "23,43" Any help very welcome! In case any solution requires it I am using PHP 5.3 and Jquery 1.4

  I have a service which does its work(perform network operation) depending upon the type of message(message.what) property of the message. Then it returns the resoponse, also as a message to the requesting component(depending upon the message.replyTo). So, i am trying to write the testcases.. But how????? My Architecture of service is like this: 1) A component(ex. Activity) bounds to the service. 2) The component sends message to the Service(using Messenger). 3) The service has a nested class that handles the messages and execute the network call and returns a response as message to the sender(who initially sent the message and using its replyTo property). Now to test this.. i am using Junit test cases.. So , in that .. 1) in setUp() i am binding to the service.. 2) on testBusinessLogic() . i am sending the message to the service .. Now problem is where to get the response message.

• BlackBerry Field class extension will not paint.

  Using JRE 5.0.0, simulator device is an 8520. On a screen I am using a FlowFieldManager(Manager.VERTICAL_SCROLL) and adding Fields to it to show data. When I do this.flowManager = new FlowFieldManager(Manager.VERTICAL_SCROLL); Field field = new Field() { protected void paint(Graphics graphics) { graphics.drawTest("Test", 0, 0); } protected void layout(int width, int height) { this.setExtend(300, 300); // just testing } } this.flowManager.add(field); The screen renders correctly and 'Test' appears on the screen. If, on the other hand, I try and abstract this into a class called CustomField with the same properties and add it to the flow manager the render will not happen. Debugging shows that the device enters into the Object, into the layout function, but not the paint function. I can't figure out why the paint function is not called when I extend Field. The 4.5 API says that layout and paint are the only functions that I really need to extend. (getPreferredWidth and getPreferredHeight will be used to calculate screen sizes etc.) Thanks in advance.

My standard approach would be to use a 3D-array: values[x][y][z] = 1; // test value but this turns out to be slow: it takes 192 ms to complete this loop, where a single int-assignment int value = 1; // test value takes only 66 ms. 1) Why is an array so relatively slow? 2) And why does it get even slower when I put this in the inner loop: values[z][y][x] = 1; // (notice x and z switched) This takes more than 4 seconds! 3) Most importantly: Can I use a data structure that is as quick as the assignment of a single integer, but can store as much data as the 3D-array?

• Why do I get 'Connection refused - connect(2)' for some models?

  I have a rails application running for the past 90 days that suddenly stopped working. Debugging the problem I found that I can read from the DB but not write to it. At least for certain models. There is one model that I can save whereas all others return Connection refused - connect(2) when I attempt to save them. They all used to work fine last month. I have no idea how to determine what the problem may be. Unfortunately I do not have access to the actual server remotely right now so I am limited in my debugging ability. I was able to get some non-tech people to run simple commands though that may help identify my problem. I will also be getting access tomorrow at some point. 1 Check from the console ./script/console >> a = Post.last.clone => #<Post id: nil, title: "test"... >> a.ex_id = 7 >> a.save Connection refused - connect(2) ... ... >> b = Story.last.console => #<Story id: nil, title: "test"... >> a.ex_id = 7 >> a.save => true I am not sure why this works for story and not post. This is consistent over many tests. 2 Check from mysql ./script/dbconsole -p mysql> INSERT INTO Posts (`title`,`body`, `ex_id`) SELECT `title`, `body`, 7 FROM Posts WHERE ID = 1; Query OK, 1 row affected (0.01 sec) Records: 1 Duplicates: 0 Warnings: 0 And as you can see I am able to write to the table with the same credientials that Rails uses? Does anyone know why I get connection refused in the console?

• Why are my thread being terminated ?

  Hi, I'm trying to repeat calls to methods through 3 differents threads. But after I start my threads, during the next iteration of my loop, they are all terminated so nothing is executed... • Specific path to java class file when embedded into HTML; Help urgent

  This is a resonant post to one of my other query due to an error with Java applet embedded into CMS pages. well, I tell issue:- Problem:- I have a website using Concrete 5 CMS, in which I have a page that I have embedded a Java applet class. This applet should show the system information which this applet is working fine in simple single HTML pages. now whenever I access my plugin Test page which created in Concrete 5 CMS (this page I embedded this java applet), it shows a Java error. The error is says incompatible Magic Number. Observation:- After a lot of searching through various tech forums, I finally found that, the issue is happened because the browser cannot load Java class file. The class file path location is wrong. • Is Maven really flexible?

  I understand how Maven works with .java files in src/java/main. But may it be used for a more general case? Let us put it more abstract: Suppose I already have some a.exe that read some (not necessarily only .java) sources from directories A1, A2, A3 and puts some files (maybe some are generated .java) to directories B1, B2. I also have some b.exe that currently reads files from B1, B2, B3 and generates something else. Some more similar steps. (A real life problem stands behind). I would like to right POM.xml file so that maven will do this work. Is that possible? I assume that a.exe and b.exe should be warped as maven plugings. Next, in Maven docs I see : <build> <sourceDirectory>${basedir}/src/main/java</sourceDirectory> <scriptSourceDirectory>${basedir}/src/main/scripts</scriptSourceDirectory> <testSourceDirectory>${basedir}/src/test/java</testSourceDirectory> <outputDirectory>${basedir}/target/classes</outputDirectory> <testOutputDirectory>${basedir}/target/test-classes</testOutputDirectory> ... </build> What bothers me is that "sourceDirectory" looks by itself as a hard coded name. Will Maven accept A1 and A2 tags instead?
