  • Python: some newbie questions on sys.stderr and using function as argument

    - by Cawas
    I'm just starting on Python and maybe I'm worrying too much too soon, but anyways... log = "/tmp/trefnoc.log" def logThis (text, display=""): msg = str(now.strftime("%Y-%m-%d %H:%M")) + " TREfNOC: " + text if display != None: print msg + display logfile = open(log, "a") logfile.write(msg + "\n") logfile.close() return msg def logThisAndExit (text, display=""): msg = logThis(text, display=None) sys.exit(msg + display) That is working, but I don't like how it looks. Is there a better way to write this (maybe with just 1 function) and is there any other thing I should be concerned under exiting? Now to some background... Sometimes I will call logThis just to log and display. Other times I want to call it and exit. Initially I was doing this: logThis ("ERROR. EXITING") sys.exit() Then I figured that wouldn't properly set the stderr, thus the current code shown on the top. My first idea was actually passing "sys.exit" as an argument, and defining just logThis ("ERROR. EXITING", call=sys.exit) defined as following (showing just the relevant differenced part): def logThis (text, display="", call=print): msg = str(now.strftime("%Y-%m-%d %H:%M")) + " TREfNOC: " + text call msg + display But that obviously didn't work. I think Python doesn't store functions inside variables. I couldn't (quickly) find anywhere if Python can have variables taking functions or not! Maybe using an eval function? I really always try to avoid them, tho. Sure I thought of using if instead of another def, but that wouldn't be any better or worst. Anyway, any thoughts?

  • Problem with File IO and splitting strings with Environment.NewLine in VB.Net

    - by Senthil
    Hi, I was experimenting with basic VB.Net file read/write and encountered this problem. I don't know whether it has something to do with the File IO or the String splitting. I am writing text to a file like so Dim sWriter As New StreamWriter("Data.txt") sWriter.WriteLine("FirstItem") sWriter.WriteLine("SecondItem") sWriter.WriteLine("ThirdItem") sWriter.Close() Then, I am reading the text from the file Dim sReader As New StreamReader("Data.txt") Dim fileContents As String = sReader.ReadToEnd() sReader.Close() Now, I am splitting the fileContents variable using Environment.NewLine and saving the returned String array. Dim tempStr() As String = fileContents.Split(Environment.NewLine) When I print the array, I get some weird results For Each str As String In tempStr Console.WriteLine("*" + str + "*") Next I added the *'s to the beginning and end to find out what is going on. Since NewLine is used as the delimiter, I expect the strings in the array to NOT have any NewLine's. But the output was this - *FirstItem* * SecondItem* * ThirdItem* * * Shouldn't it be this - *FirstItem* *SecondItem* *ThirdItem* ?? Since I am using WriteLine, my guess is a new line is added after the last string and hence the last empty item in the array after splitting. But why is there a new line in the beginning of the second and third strings?

  • Objective-C : Fowler–Noll–Vo (FNV) Hash implementation

    - by Dough
    Hi ! I have a HTTP connector in my iPhone project and queries must have a parameter set from the username using the Fowler–Noll–Vo (FNV) Hash. I have a Java implementation working at this time, this is the code : long fnv_prime = 0x811C9DC5; long hash = 0; for(int i = 0; i < str.length(); i++) { hash *= fnv_prime; hash ^= str.charAt(i); } Now on the iPhone side, I did this : int64_t fnv_prime = 0x811C9DC5; int64_T hash = 0; for (int i=0; i < [myString length]; i++) { hash *= fnv_prime; hash ^= [myString characterAtIndex:i]; } This script doesn't give me the same result has the Java one. In first loop, I get this : hash = 0 hash = 100 (first letter is "d") hash = 1865261300 (for hash = 100 and fnv_prime = -2128831035 like in Java) Do someone see something I'm missing ? Thanks in advance for the help !

  • How to read Unicode characters from command-line arguments in Python on Windows

    - by Craig McQueen
    I want my Python script to be able to read Unicode command line arguments in Windows. But it appears that sys.argv is a string encoded in some local encoding, rather than Unicode. How can I read the command line in full Unicode? Example code: argv.py import sys first_arg = sys.argv[1] print first_arg print type(first_arg) print first_arg.encode("hex") print open(first_arg) On my PC set up for Japanese code page, I get: C:\temp>argv.py "PC·??????08.09.24.doc" PC·??????08.09.24.doc <type 'str'> 50438145835c83748367905c90bf8f9130382e30392e32342e646f63 <open file 'PC·??????08.09.24.doc', mode 'r' at 0x00917D90> That's Shift-JIS encoded I believe, and it "works" for that filename. But it breaks for filenames with characters that aren't in the Shift-JIS character set—the final "open" call fails: C:\temp>argv.py Jörgen.txt Jorgen.txt <type 'str'> 4a6f7267656e2e747874 Traceback (most recent call last): File "C:\temp\argv.py", line 7, in <module> print open(first_arg) IOError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: 'Jorgen.txt' Note—I'm talking about Python 2.x, not Python 3.0. I've found that Python 3.0 gives sys.argv as proper Unicode. But it's a bit early yet to transition to Python 3.0 (due to lack of 3rd party library support). Update: A few answers have said I should decode according to whatever the sys.argv is encoded in. The problem with that is that it's not full Unicode, so some characters are not representable. Here's the use case that gives me grief: I have enabled drag-and-drop of files onto .py files in Windows Explorer. I have file names with all sorts of characters, including some not in the system default code page. My Python script doesn't get the right Unicode filenames passed to it via sys.argv in all cases, when the characters aren't representable in the current code page encoding. There is certainly some Windows API to read the command line with full Unicode (and Python 3.0 does it). I assume the Python 2.x interpreter is not using it.

  • AutoCompleteTextView displays 'android.database.sqlite.SQLiteCursor@'... after making selection

    - by user244190
    I am using the following code to set the adapter (SimpleCursorAdapter) for an AutoCompleteTextView mComment = (AutoCompleteTextView) findViewById(R.id.comment); Cursor cComments = myAdapter.getDistinctComments(); scaComments = new SimpleCursorAdapter(this,R.layout.auto_complete_item,cComments,new String[] {DBAdapter.KEY_LOG_COMMENT},new int[]{R.id.text1}); mComment.setAdapter(scaComments); auto_complete_item.xml <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <TextView xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:id="@+id/text1" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content"/> and thi is the xml for the actual control <AutoCompleteTextView android:id="@+id/comment" android:hint="@string/COMMENT" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:textSize="18dp"/> The dropdown appears to work correctly, and shows a list of items. When I make a selection from the list I get a sqlite object ('android.database.sqlite.SQLiteCursor@'... ) in the textview. Anyone know what would cause this, or how to resolve this? thanks Ok I am able to hook into the OnItemClick event, but the TextView.setText() portion of the AutoCompleteTextView widget is updated after this point. The OnItemSelected() event never gets fired, and the onNothingSelected() event gets fired when the dropdown items are first displayed. mComment.setOnItemClickListener( new OnItemClickListener() { @Override public void onItemClick(AdapterView<?> arg0, View arg1, int arg2, long arg3) { // TODO Auto-generated method stub SimpleCursorAdapter sca = (SimpleCursorAdapter) arg0.getAdapter(); String str = getSpinnerSelectedValue(sca,arg2,"comment"); TextView txt = (TextView) arg1; txt.setText(str); Toast.makeText(ctx, "onItemClick", Toast.LENGTH_SHORT).show(); } }); mComment.setOnItemSelectedListener(new OnItemSelectedListener() { @Override public void onItemSelected(AdapterView<?> arg0, View arg1, int arg2, long arg3) { Toast.makeText(ctx, "onItemSelected", Toast.LENGTH_SHORT).show(); } @Override public void onNothingSelected(AdapterView<?> arg0) { // TODO Auto-generated method stub Toast.makeText(ctx, "onNothingSelected", Toast.LENGTH_SHORT).show(); } }); Anyone alse have any ideas on how to override the updating of the TextView? thanks patrick

  • adjacency list creation , out of Memory error

    - by p1
    Hello , I am trying to create an adjacency list to store a graph.The implementation works fine while storing 100,000 records. However,when I tried to store around 1million records I ran into OutofMemory Error : Exception in thread "main" java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space at java.util.Arrays.copyOfRange(Arrays.java:3209) at java.lang.String.(String.java:215) at java.io.BufferedReader.readLine(BufferedReader.java:331) at java.io.BufferedReader.readLine(BufferedReader.java:362) at liarliar.main(liarliar.java:39) Following is my implementation HashMap<String,ArrayList<String>> adj = new HashMap<String,ArrayList<String>>(num); while ((str = in.readLine()) != null) { StringTokenizer Tok = new StringTokenizer(str); name = (String) Tok.nextElement(); cnt = Integer.valueOf(Tok.nextToken()); ArrayList<String> templist = new ArrayList<String>(cnt); while(cnt>0) { templist.add(in.readLine()); cnt--; } adj.put(name,templist); } //done creating a adjacency list I am wondering, if there is any better way to implement the adjacency list. Also, I know number of nodes right in the begining and , in the future I flatten the list as I visit nodes. Any suggestions ? Thanks

  • JavaScript types

    - by Alex Ivasyuv
    Hi, as per http://www.ecma-international.org/publications/files/ECMA-ST/ECMA-262.pdf JavaScript has 6 types: undefined, null, boolean, string, number, object. var und; console.log(typeof und); // <-- undefined var n = null; console.log(typeof n); // <--- **object**! var b = true; console.log(typeof b); // <-- boolean var str = "myString" console.log(typeof str); // <-- string var int = 10; console.log(typeof int); // <-- number var obj = {} console.log(typeof obj); // <-- object Question 1: Why null is object type, if it has to be a null type. Question 2: What about function? var f = function() {}; console.log(typeof f); // <-- function Variable f has "function" type. Why it doesn't specified in specification as separate type. Thanks,

  • stack and heap issue for iPhone memory management

    - by Forrest
    From this post I got know that the Objective-C runtime does not allow objects to be instantiated on the stack, but only on the heap; this means that you don’t have “automatic objects”, nor things like auto_ptr objects to help you manage memory; Someone give one example in post Objective C: Memory Allocation on stack vs. heap NSString* str = @"hello"; but this NSString is also not allocated in stack. Feel odd that this str is static. (Who can explain this ? ) Question here is that why there is no heap ? even mixing c++ together with Object C ? /////////////////////////////// Clear my question /////////////////////////////// I am confused , so questions are not clear. Let me put in this way. 1) All Object C objects should be alloc in stack ? ( I think yes ) 2)In C++, there are stack for memory, so for iOS app, also have stack ? ( I think yes ) 3) for iOS app, if only use Object C, so what is the usage of stack ? what kind of objects should use stack then ?

  • Looping through python-dictionary-turned-into-json in javascript.

    - by Phil
    In writing a django app, I am returning the following json on a jQuery ajax call: { "is_owner": "T", "author": "me", "overall": "the surfing lifestyle", "score": "1", "meanings": { "0": "something", "1": "something else", "3": "yet something else", "23": "something random" }, "user vote": "1" } In the javascript/jQuery callback function, I can access the is_owner, author, etc. easily enough. is_owner = json.is_owner; author = json.author; But for meanings, the numbers are different depending on what it pulls from the server. On the server side for the meanings part, right now what I'm doing is constructing a dictionary like so: meanings_dict = {} meanings = requested_tayke.meanings.all() for meaning in meanings: meanings_dict[meaning.location] = meaning.text and then returning a json I create like this: test_json = simplejson.dumps({'is_owner':is_owner, 'overall':overall, 'score':str(score),'user vote':str(user_vote), 'author': author, 'meanings' : meanings_dict }) print test_json return HttpResponse(test_json) My question is this: how do I access the 'meanings' data from my json in javascript? I need to loop through all of it. Maybe I need to be loading it into json differently. I have full control so of both the server and client side so I'm willing to change either to make it work. Also worth noting: I'm not using Django's serialize functionality. I couldn't make it work with my situation.

  • What makes these two R data frames not identical?

    - by Matt Parker
    UPDATE: I remembered dput() about the time Sharpie mentioned it. It's probably the row names. Back in a moment with an answer. I have two small data frames, this_tx and last_tx. They are, in every way that I can tell, completely identical. this_tx == last_tx results in a frame of identical dimensions, all TRUE. this_tx %in% last_tx, two TRUEs. Inspected visually, clearly identical. But when I call identical(this_tx, last_tx) I get a FALSE. Hilariously, even identical(str(this_tx), str(last_tx)) will return a TRUE. If I set this_tx <- last_tx, I'll get a TRUE. What is going on? I don't have the deepest understanding of R's internal mechanics, but I can't find a single difference between the two data frames. If it's relevant, the two variables in the frames are both factors - same levels, same numeric coding for the levels, both just subsets of the same original data frame. Converting them to character vectors doesn't help. Background (because I wouldn't mind help on this, either): I have records of drug treatments given to patients. Each treatment record essentially specifies a person and a date. A second table has a record for each drug and dose given during a particular treatment (usually, a few drugs are given each treatment). I'm trying to identify contiguous periods during which the person was taking the same combinations of drugs at the same doses. The best plan I've come up with is to check the treatments chronologically. If the combination of drugs and doses for treatment[i] is identical to the combination at treatment[i-1], then treatment[i] is a part of the same phase as treatment[i-1]. Of course, if I can't compare drug/dose combinations, that's right out.

  • Python: Class factory using user input as class names

    - by Sano98
    Hi everyone, I want to add class atttributes to a superclass dynamically. Furthermore, I want to create classes that inherit from this superclass dynamically, and the name of those subclasses should depend on user input. There is a superclass "Unit", to which I can add attributes at runtime. This already works. def add_attr (cls, name, value): setattr(cls, name, value) class Unit(object): pass class Archer(Unit): pass myArcher = Archer() add_attr(Unit, 'strength', 5) print "Strenght ofmyarcher: " + str(myArcher.strength) Archer.strength = 2 print "Strenght ofmyarcher: " + str(myArcher.strength) This leads to the desired output: Strenght ofmyarcher: 5 Strenght ofmyarcher: 2 But now I don't want to predefine the subclass Archer, but I'd rather let the user decide how to call this subclass. I've tried something like this: class Meta(type, subclassname): def __new__(cls, subclassname, bases, dct): return type.__new__(cls, subclassname, Unit, dct) factory = Meta() factory.__new__("Soldier") but no luck. I guess I haven't really understood what new does here. What I want as a result here is class Soldier(Unit): pass being created by the factory. And if I call the factory with the argument "Knight", I'd like a class Knight, subclass of Unit, to be created. Any ideas? Many thanks in advance! Bye -Sano

  • Clojure agents consuming from a queue

    - by erikcw
    I'm trying to figure out the best way to use agents to consume items from a Message Queue (Amazon SQS). Right now I have a function (process-queue-item) that grabs an items from the queue, and processes it. I want to process these items concurrently, but I can't wrap my head around how to control the agents. Basically I want to keep all of the agents busy as much as possible without pulling to many items from the Queue and developing a backlog (I'll have this running on a couple of machines, so items need to be left in the queue until they are really needed). Can anyone give me some pointers on improving my implementation? (def active-agents (ref 0)) (defn process-queue-item [_] (dosync (alter active-agents inc)) ;retrieve item from Message Queue (Amazon SQS) and process (dosync (alter active-agents dec))) (defn -main [] (def agents (for [x (range 20)] (agent x))) (loop [loop-count 0] (if (< @active-agents 20) (doseq [agent agents] (if (agent-errors agent) (clear-agent-errors agent)) ;should skip this agent until later if it is still busy processing (not sure how) (send-off agent process-queue-item))) ;(apply await-for (* 10 1000) agents) (Thread/sleep 10000) (logging/info (str "ACTIVE AGENTS " @active-agents)) (if (> 10 loop-count) (do (logging/info (str "done, let's cleanup " count)) (doseq [agent agents] (if (agent-errors agent) (clear-agent-errors agent))) (apply await agents) (shutdown-agents)) (recur (inc count)))))

  • Apache POI Comment Excel

    - by Marquinio
    I need to add a comment to an HSSF Cell in Excel. Everything works fine the very first time but if I open the same file and run the code again it corrupts the file. I've also noticed that I need to create a Drawing object on a Sheet only once: _sheet.createDrawingPatriarch(); If the line above gets executed more than once comments will not work. So has anyone tried adding comments to Cells, closing the file, opening the file again and trying to add more comments to different cells? The below code works but if I open the file again then comments are not added, plus the file gets corrupted!!! Is there a way to get the existing Drawing object from a Sheet? Any ideas appreciated. Thanks!! _drawing = (HSSFPatriarch) _sheet.createDrawingPatriarch(); Row row = _sheet.getRow(rowIndex_); Cell cell = row.getCell(0); CreationHelper factory = _workbook.getCreationHelper(); HSSFAnchor anchor = new HSSFClientAnchor(0, 0, 0, 0, (short)4, 2, (short)6, 5); org.apache.poi.ss.usermodel.Comment comment = _drawing.createComment(anchor); RichTextString str = factory.createRichTextString("Hello, World "+rowIndex_); comment.setString(str); cell.setCellComment(comment);

  • Java to JavaScript (Encryption related)

    - by balexandre
    Hi guys, I'm having difficulties to get the same string in Javascript and I'm thinking that I'm doing something wrong... Java code: import java.io.UnsupportedEncodingException; import java.security.MessageDigest; import java.security.NoSuchAlgorithmException; import java.util.Date; import java.util.GregorianCalendar; import sun.misc.BASE64Encoder; private static String getBase64Code(String input) throws UnsupportedEncodingException, NoSuchAlgorithmException { String base64 = ""; byte[] txt = input.getBytes("UTF8"); byte[] text = new byte[txt.length+3]; text[0] = (byte)239; text[1] = (byte)187; text[2] = (byte)191; for(int i=0; i<txt.length; i++) text[i+3] = txt[i]; MessageDigest md = MessageDigest.getInstance("MD5"); md.update(text); byte digest[] = md.digest(); BASE64Encoder encoder = new BASE64Encoder(); base64 = encoder.encode(digest); return base64; } I'm trying this using Paj's MD5 script as well Farhadi Base 64 Encode script but my tests fail completely :( my code: function CalculateCredentialsSecret(type, user, pwd) { var days = days_between(new Date(), new Date(2000, 1, 1)); var str = type.toUpperCase() + user.toUpperCase() + pwd.toUpperCase() + days; var md5 = hex_md5(str); var b64 = base64Encode(md5); return encodeURIComponent(b64); } Does anyone know how can I convert this Java method into a Javascript one? Thank you Tests (for today, 3740 days after January 1st, 2000 var secret = CalculateCredentialsSecret('AAA', 'BBB', 'CCC'); // secret SHOULD be: S3GYAfGWlmrhuoNsIJF94w==

  • A function where small changes in input always result in large changes in output

    - by snowlord
    I would like an algorithm for a function that takes n integers and returns one integer. For small changes in the input, the resulting integer should vary greatly. Even though I've taken a number of courses in math, I have not used that knowledge very much and now I need some help... An important property of this function should be that if it is used with coordinate pairs as input and the result is plotted (as a grayscale value for example) on an image, any repeating patterns should only be visible if the image is very big. I have experimented with various algorithms for pseudo-random numbers with little success and finally it struck me that md5 almost meets my criteria, except that it is not for numbers (at least not from what I know). That resulted in something like this Python prototype (for n = 2, it could easily be changed to take a list of integers of course): import hashlib def uniqnum(x, y): return int(hashlib.md5(str(x) + ',' + str(y)).hexdigest()[-6:], 16) But obviously it feels wrong to go over strings when both input and output are integers. What would be a good replacement for this implementation (in pseudo-code, python, or whatever language)?

  • How is the 'is' keyword implemented in Python?

    ... the is keyword that can be used for equality in strings. >>> s = 'str' >>> s is 'str' True >>> s is 'st' False I tried both __is__() and __eq__() but they didn't work. >>> class MyString: ... def __init__(self): ... self.s = 'string' ... def __is__(self, s): ... return self.s == s ... >>> >>> >>> m = MyString() >>> m is 'ss' False >>> m is 'string' # <--- Expected to work False >>> >>> class MyString: ... def __init__(self): ... self.s = 'string' ... def __eq__(self, s): ... return self.s == s ... >>> >>> m = MyString() >>> m is 'ss' False >>> m is 'string' # <--- Expected to work, but again failed False >>> Thanks for your help!

  • How to Display a Bmp in a RTF control in VB.net

    - by Gerolkae
    I Started with this C# Question I'm trying to Display a bmp image inside a rtf Box for a Bot program I'm making. This function is supposed to convert a bitmap to rtf code whis is inserted to another rtf formatter srtring with additional text. Kind of like Smilies being used in a chat program. For some reason the output of this function gets rejected by the RTF Box and Vanishes completly. I'm not sure if it the way I'm converting the bmp to a Binary string or if its tied in with the header tags 'returns the RTF string representation of our picture Public Shared Function PictureToRTF(ByVal Bmp As Bitmap) As String Dim stream As New MemoryStream() Bmp.Save(stream, System.Drawing.Imaging.ImageFormat.Bmp) Dim bytes As Byte() = stream.ToArray() Dim str As String = BitConverter.ToString(bytes, 0).Replace("-", String.Empty) 'header to string we want to insert Using g As Graphics = Main.CreateGraphics() xDpi = g.DpiX yDpi = g.DpiY End Using Dim _rtf As New StringBuilder() ' Calculate the current width of the image in (0.01)mm Dim picw As Integer = CInt(Math.Round((Bmp.Width / xDpi) * HMM_PER_INCH)) ' Calculate the current height of the image in (0.01)mm Dim pich As Integer = CInt(Math.Round((Bmp.Height / yDpi) * HMM_PER_INCH)) ' Calculate the target width of the image in twips Dim picwgoal As Integer = CInt(Math.Round((Bmp.Width / xDpi) * TWIPS_PER_INCH)) ' Calculate the target height of the image in twips Dim pichgoal As Integer = CInt(Math.Round((Bmp.Height / yDpi) * TWIPS_PER_INCH)) ' Append values to RTF string _rtf.Append("{\pict\wbitmap0") _rtf.Append("\picw") _rtf.Append(Bmp.Width.ToString) ' _rtf.Append(picw.ToString) _rtf.Append("\pich") _rtf.Append(Bmp.Height.ToString) ' _rtf.Append(pich.ToString) _rtf.Append("\wbmbitspixel24\wbmplanes1") _rtf.Append("\wbmwidthbytes40") _rtf.Append("\picwgoal") _rtf.Append(picwgoal.ToString) _rtf.Append("\pichgoal") _rtf.Append(pichgoal.ToString) _rtf.Append("\bin ") _rtf.Append(str.ToLower & "}") Return _rtf.ToString End Function

  • Output iterator's value_type

    - by wilhelmtell
    The STL commonly defines an output iterator like so: template<class Cont> class insert_iterator : public iterator<output_iterator_tag,void,void,void,void> { // ... Why do output iterators define value_type as void? It would be useful for an algorithm to know what type of value it is supposed to output. For example, a function that translates a URL query "key1=value1&key2=value2&key3=value3" into any container that holds key-value strings elements. template<typename Ch,typename Tr,typename Out> void parse(const std::basic_string<Ch,Tr>& str, Out result) { std::basic_string<Ch,Tr> key, value; // loop over str, parse into p ... *result = typename iterator_traits<Out>::value_type(key, value); } The SGI reference page of value_type hints this is because it's not possible to dereference an output iterator. But that's not the only use of value_type: I might want to instantiate one in order to assign it to the iterator.

  • Boost Spirit and Lex parser problem

    - by bpw1621
    I've been struggling to try and (incrementally) modify example code from the documentation but with not much different I am not getting the behavior I expect. Specifically, the "if" statement fails when (my intent is that) it should be passing (there was an "else" but that part of the parser was removed during debugging). The assignment statement works fine. I had a "while" statement as well which had the same problem as the "if" statement so I am sure if I can get help to figure out why one is not working it should be easy to get the other going. It must be kind of subtle because this is almost verbatim what is in one of the examples. #include <iostream> #include <fstream> #include <string> #define BOOST_SPIRIT_DEBUG #include <boost/config/warning_disable.hpp> #include <boost/spirit/include/qi.hpp> #include <boost/spirit/include/lex_lexertl.hpp> #include <boost/spirit/include/phoenix_operator.hpp> #include <boost/spirit/include/phoenix_statement.hpp> #include <boost/spirit/include/phoenix_container.hpp> namespace qi = boost::spirit::qi; namespace lex = boost::spirit::lex; inline std::string read_from_file( const char* infile ) { std::ifstream instream( infile ); if( !instream.is_open() ) { std::cerr << "Could not open file: \"" << infile << "\"" << std::endl; exit( -1 ); } instream.unsetf( std::ios::skipws ); return( std::string( std::istreambuf_iterator< char >( instream.rdbuf() ), std::istreambuf_iterator< char >() ) ); } template< typename Lexer > struct LangLexer : lex::lexer< Lexer > { LangLexer() { identifier = "[a-zA-Z][a-zA-Z0-9_]*"; number = "[-+]?(\\d*\\.)?\\d+([eE][-+]?\\d+)?"; if_ = "if"; else_ = "else"; this->self = lex::token_def<> ( '(' ) | ')' | '{' | '}' | '=' | ';'; this->self += identifier | number | if_ | else_; this->self( "WS" ) = lex::token_def<>( "[ \\t\\n]+" ); } lex::token_def<> if_, else_; lex::token_def< std::string > identifier; lex::token_def< double > number; }; template< typename Iterator, typename Lexer > struct LangGrammar : qi::grammar< Iterator, qi::in_state_skipper< Lexer > > { template< typename TokenDef > LangGrammar( const TokenDef& tok ) : LangGrammar::base_type( program ) { using boost::phoenix::val; using boost::phoenix::ref; using boost::phoenix::size; program = +block; block = '{' >> *statement >> '}'; statement = assignment | if_stmt; assignment = ( tok.identifier >> '=' >> expression >> ';' ); if_stmt = ( tok.if_ >> '(' >> expression >> ')' >> block ); expression = ( tok.identifier[ qi::_val = qi::_1 ] | tok.number[ qi::_val = qi::_1 ] ); BOOST_SPIRIT_DEBUG_NODE( program ); BOOST_SPIRIT_DEBUG_NODE( block ); BOOST_SPIRIT_DEBUG_NODE( statement ); BOOST_SPIRIT_DEBUG_NODE( assignment ); BOOST_SPIRIT_DEBUG_NODE( if_stmt ); BOOST_SPIRIT_DEBUG_NODE( expression ); } qi::rule< Iterator, qi::in_state_skipper< Lexer > > program, block, statement; qi::rule< Iterator, qi::in_state_skipper< Lexer > > assignment, if_stmt; typedef boost::variant< double, std::string > expression_type; qi::rule< Iterator, expression_type(), qi::in_state_skipper< Lexer > > expression; }; int main( int argc, char** argv ) { typedef std::string::iterator base_iterator_type; typedef lex::lexertl::token< base_iterator_type, boost::mpl::vector< double, std::string > > token_type; typedef lex::lexertl::lexer< token_type > lexer_type; typedef LangLexer< lexer_type > LangLexer; typedef LangLexer::iterator_type iterator_type; typedef LangGrammar< iterator_type, LangLexer::lexer_def > LangGrammar; LangLexer lexer; LangGrammar grammar( lexer ); std::string str( read_from_file( 1 == argc ?
