• Can't get flat QToolButton with border on hover stylesheet

  Hi, all! I need to implement textbox with inplace button (for search or filter purposes). So, I need to get Qtoolbutton, that is flat and rendered as icon, and obtain the border when hovered by mouse or pressed. And maybe I'd add some almost transparent background on hover too. I tried to set the following stylesheet: 'border: none; hover {border: 1px} pressed {border: 1px}' , but it seems that only border set. I tried to set autoRaise() to True and False, I mean, maybe some intersection occured, but haven't succeed.

• html5, adding an eventlistener to a drawn image on canvas

  I am experimenting with html5 and I have a little image dropdown, the user selects and image and it draws it to the canvas using drawImage(); I can't seem to figure out how to add an event listener to the newly drawn image on the canvas. I have tried putting it in a variable like so: var newImg = ctx.drawImage(myImage, 200, 200); and then adding an eventlistener to that, but it doesn't seem to work. newImg.addEventListener('mousedown', onImgClick, false); What is the correct way to do this.

  Hello, does anyone knows a file format for configuration files easy to read by humans? I want to have something like tag = value where value may be: String Number(int or float) Boolean(true/false) Array(of String values, Number values, Boolean values) Another structure(it will be more clear what I mean in the fallowing example) Now I use something like this: IntTag=1 FloatTag=1.1 StringTag="a string" BoolTag=true ArrayTag1=[1 2 3] ArrayTag2=[1.1 2.1 3.1] ArrayTag3=["str1" "str2" "str3"] StructTag= { NestedTag1=1 NestedTag2="str1" } and so on. Parsing is easy but for large files I find it hard to read/edit in text editors. I don't like xml for the same reason, it's hard to read. INI does not support nesting and I want to be able to nest tags. I also don't want a complicated format because I will use limited kind of values as I mentioned above. Thanks for any help.

• How to presist the user authentication in SL3 + RIA

  I am developing SL3 + RIA services with custom authentication. I followed the example in http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/RiaServices/Release/ProjectReleases.aspx?ReleaseId=2661 to implement custom authentication. Based on the implementation, you first do login request from client to service. This request is async process. Since login is async, the control will go back to GUI which then starts to do data bind in SL controls using RIA services, the services happens to requires the authentication to be successful (by adding [RequireAuthentication] attribute). The trouble is, since you requested login might not have completed before the data binding starts t this stage the authentication is false because of that data binding will fail. I would like to know if you require your web services to have 'RequireAuthentication' how would you wait for authentication to complete at the server side or client side. Appriciate the help.   I have a problem where I don't want to have to call a setEnv.sh file before i call my ant target that calls an exec task. Right now I have a way to save the environment variables in setenv.properties file in the key=value notation. The exec task for some reason does not see the variables that are set in the .properties file.... (I know i could use the tag but the setenv.properties is dynamically generated) setenv.properties: HELLO=XYZ part of my build.xml : <property file="setenv.properties"/> <target name="test" depends="setEnv"> <exec executable="/bin/ksh" newenvironment="false"> test.sh : echo ${HELLO} Any thoughts?

• Appending html code to a section inside a dialog window isn't working in IE6

  I'm using jQuery's validation on a form. When the form is validated, I'm using a submitHandler to fill a dialog with data from the form then I open the dialog to display it. Works great except for in IE6. Nothing displays. I've tried initializing the dialog before and after running the validation code but neither makes a difference. • Should GSON ignore varying types if they're not used in a class?

  I'm making an API call that returns JSON which has a particular field which either returns false or a map depending on content. It's a field that I don't care about. I expected GSON to ignore this particular field, though it doesn't seem to be. The object generation fails with the following message: com.google.gson.JsonSyntaxException: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Expected a string but was BEGIN_OBJECT at line 1 column 403560 I've seen this particular question (Gson deserialize json with varying value types). I want to make sure I need to make a custom deserializer before doing so. I'm wondering if I may have another issue. edit: Example: "anonymous_flag": { } vs "anonymous_flag": "yes" Another Edit: I actually had the field in my model object... I was referencing the wrong class. Judge away :)

• Cookie Value not available, why?

  I have tested this on my development computer, but now I have uploaded everything to the production server and I cant read out the value of the cookie. • Active Index is not being persisted in jQuery accordion change event

  I have an asp.net aspx page and on that page I have a hidden input field with and id of paneIndex. However, when I load the page, the alert shows index 1 which is correct on the first load, but if I open up pane 3 for example, the alert shows 1 still. Am I doing something wrong? • QtWebkit and hasPendingEvents() always True

  Hello. I use project webkit2png (slightly appended) to take screenshots in Linux. On the server running the latest version QtWebkit and Python 2.6 On some sites (eg 118114.cn) problem and the application hangs forever. Debug shows that the problem in this code snippet: while self.__loading:    if timeout 0 and time.time() = cancelAt:       raise RuntimeError("Request timed out on %s" % url)    while QApplication.hasPendingEvents():       QCoreApplication.processEvents() Full version of the source code is available here (lines 270-275) Somehow Loading-event hangs and hasPendingEvents can not be False. Most of the screenshots are created normally, but sometimes due to some URL drops my app: ( Does anyone know how to solve this problem and why the event hangs?

  Hi have made this function which is made to replicate an error that I can't get past. It looks like this: void enumerate(double *c, int size){ while(c < &c[size]){ printf("%lf\n", *c); c++; } } I have added some printf's in there and it gives me: Adressof c: 0x100100080, Adressof c + size: 0x1001000a8 I then also print the address of c for each iteration of the loop, it reaches 0x1001000a8 but continues past this point even though the condition should be false as far as I can tell until I get a segfault. If anyone can spot the problem, please tell me, I have been staring at this for a while now. Thanks.

• mdi child forms slow to draw when visibility changed

  My application has the following UI configuration: The main form is an MDI container. Its child forms are attached to a tabstrip. Each user has his set of child forms. Depending on the active user, only that user's child forms are displayed, together with tabs. This is achieved by going through the main form's MdiChildren and setting their Visible property to false/true depending on the active user. This has two undesired effects. One is that every child form gets redrawn in succession, which is ugly and slow. The other is that for some reason the forms go from maximized to normal, effectively undocking them from the main form. Is there any way to display just one of the child forms, such as the one the user was previously looking at, and get the others to stay in the background? The maximize/normal thing is not that big a deal because I can maximize them again manually.

I would like to take the following Java String from the bean String statusMsg = "Hello World! <br/><br/><h3>Test</h3>" And output it with the HTML tags not escaped. <s:property escapeHtml="false" value="bean.statusMsg" The result of this property Tag and String, is that the HTML tags are still being escaped, am I missing something? My goal is to eventually build a table of status data and output it on the page is this the wrong way to use the property tag? Thank you in advance for your help.

  I created a jquery collection that stores xml as follows: var rh_request = $('') .attr('user_id', user_id) .attr('company_id', company_id) .attr('action', 'x'); I want to post it to my server via an ajax request as follows: $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: mywebsiteURL, processData: false, dataType: "xml", data: rh_request.html(), success: mycallbackfunction }); My problem is that the "data" parameter of the ajax call needs a string version of the xml and it seems neither Jquery's .html() or .text() function yields this. I have older code that used straight javascript to form the outgoing xml and calling the DOM .xml() function yielded a string that worked. How is this done with a jquery collection???

• Accessing WordPress categories from outside

  So, I have a client that needs all the categories from their blog to be displayed on their homepage. The WordPress blog is in its own directory, /blog. I have tried the following code (taken from a tutorial, I changed the path to fit clients site): <?php // Include WordPress define('WP_USE_THEMES', false); require('blog/wp-load.php'); query_posts('showposts=1'); ?> But this code just redirects me to the install file of WordPress (it actually wrongly redirects me). It goes to http://www.site.com/wp-admin/install.php instead of http://www.site.com/blog/wp-admin/install.php. Is there a better way than this method? I would pull in the categories from the database table, but I do not currently have access. Thanks!

  I have a column in my DB that is set with Identity(1,1) and I can't get hibernate annotations to work for it. I get errors when I try to create a new record. In my entity I have the following. @GeneratedValue(strategy=GenerationType.IDENTITY, generator="native") @Column(name="SeqNo", unique=true, nullable=false) BigDecimal seqNo; But when I try to add a new record I get the following error. Cannot insert explicit value for identity column in table 'MemberSelectedOptions' when IDENTITY_INSERT is set to OFF. I don't want to set IDENTIY_INSERT to ON because I want the identity column in the db to manage the values. The SQL that is run is the following; where you can clearly see the insert. insert into dbo.MemberSelectedOptions (OptionStatusCd, EffectiveDate, TermDate, SelectionStatusDate, SysLstUpdtUserId, SysLstTrxDtm, SourceApplication, GroupId, MemberId, OptionId, SeqNo) values (?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?)   Let's say you have two kinds, Message and Contact, related by a db.ListProperty of keys on Message. A user creates a message, adds some contacts as recipients, and emails the message. Later, the user deletes one of the contact entities that was a recipient of the message. Our application should delete the appropriate Contact entity, but we want to preserve the original recipient list for the message that was sent for the user's records. In essence, we want a snapshot of the message entity at the time it was sent. If we naively delete the contact entity, though, we lose snapshot integrity; if not, we are left with an invalid key.
