  • Jquery - Check for bad words on form submit?

    Does anybody know of a good Jquery solution to checking for swear words when a form is submitted? Basically I have a form which submits to Twitter, upon successfully passing a swear word check it will submit via ajax. I know how to do it in PHP (for non javascript enabled users), I did a foreach loop through an array of predefined bad words and checked them against what was submitted. How would I do a similar thing with Jquery? Thanks

  • Directory.GetFiles returning entire path, I only want the filename?

    This is the code I have set up to scan a directory of files: Dim fileArray() As String fileArray = Directory.GetFiles(System.AppDomain.CurrentDomain.BaseDirectory & "help\") And it successfully gets all files in the directory, but it gets their absolute paths aswell. For example, one of the entries in fileArray() is: F:\Project\Project\bin\x86\Debug\help\book_troubleshoot.html And I want it to just be: book_troubleshoot.html Is there a way to do this without parsing through all the array entries to trim off the path?     I've read lots of tutorials on how to deserialize a JSON object to an object of a particular using DataContractJsonSerializer. However, I'd like to deserialize my object to a Dictionary consisting of either Strings, Arrays or Dictionaries, such as System.Json does with SilverLight when I say JsonObject.Parse(myJSONstring). Is there an equivalent to System.Json that I can use in my WPF project?   • Why do you have to mark a class with the attribute [serializable] ?

    Seeing as you can convert any document to a byte array and save it to disk, and then rebuild the file to its original form (as long as you have meta data for its filename etc.). Why do you have to mark a class with [Serializable] etc? Is that just the same idea, "meta data" type information so when you cast the object to its class things are mapped properly?
