I would prefer to use states, but I do not know of any way to just tell blend and xaml to "When a selected item is changed, change the image opacity to 1 over a period of .3 seconds". Infact, I have been doing this in the .cs file using the VisualStateManager. Also, there is another issue. When the selected index is changed, we goto the CS file and look at SelectedItem. SelectedItem returns an instance of the Object in which it was bound to (The object inside the observable collection), and NOT an instance of the DataTemplate/ListItem etc. So how am I able to pull the correct image out of this list? State animation with VisualStateManager I can handle fine if its just normal things, but when it comes to generated listboxes' items, I'm lost. Thanks

I would like to add identity(1,1) field that would reflect same order of existing records as CreateDate field (order by would give same results). How can I do that ? I guess if I create clustered key on CreateDate field and then add identity column it will work (not sure if it's guaranteed), is there a good/better way ? I am interested in sql 2005, but I guess the answer will be the same for sql 2008, sql 2000.

• XNA - Mouse coordinates to word space transformation

  I have a pretty annoying problem. I would like to create a drawing program, using winform + XNA combo. The most important part would be to transform the mouse position into the XNA drawn grid - I was able to make it for the translations, but it only work if I don't zoom in - when I do, the coordinates simply went horrible wrong. And I have no idea what I doing wrong. I tried to transform with scaling matrix, transform with inverse scaling matrix, multiplying with zoom, but none seems to work. In the beginning (with zoom value = 1) the grid starts from (0,0,0) going to (Width, Height, 0). I was able to get coordinates based on this grid as long as the zoom value didn't changed at all. I using a custom shader, with orthographic projection matrix, identity view matrix, and the transformed world matrix. • Twitter 2 for Android crash every time I try uploading multi photos [closed]

  Hello, I'm using the new Twitter 2 on Android 2.1. Whenever I hit the button which enables me to upload multiple photos in a single tweet, I always get the error "The application Camera (process com.sonyericsson.camera) has stopped unexpectidly. Please try again". However, uploading a single photo using the camera button in Twitter have no problem, it works. My phone is Sony Ericsson x10 mini pro. I tried signing out and back in, same result. Anything I can do to fix this?   If I have a UIScrollView set up in the view via the Interface Builder, how do I get a reference to it in the ViewController implementation? I want to programmatically add labels to the scroll view. For example, in C# if you have a textbox declared in the UI/form, you can access it by simply using the ID declared for that textbox. It doesn't seem this simple in objective c. Thanks Kevin

  Might seem like a daft title as you shouldn't add dynamic controls after Page_Init if you want to maintain ViewState, but I couldn't think of a better way of explaining the problem. I have a class similar to the following: public class WebCustomForm : WebControl, IScriptControl { internal CustomRender Content { get { object content = this.Page.Session[this.SESSION_CONTENT_TRACKER]; return content as CustomRender; } private set { this.Page.Session[this.SESSION_CONTENT_TRACKER] = value; } } } CustomRender is an abstract class that implements ITemplate that I use to self-contain a CustomForms module I'm in the middle of writing. On the Page_Init of the page that holds the WebCustomForm, I Initialise the control by passing the relevant Ids to it. Then on the overridden OnInit method of the WebCustomForm I call the Instantiate the CustomRender control that's currently active: if (this.Content != null) { this.Content.InstantiateIn(this); } The problem is that my CustomRender controls need the ability to change the CustomRender control of the WebCustomForm. But when the events that fire on the CustomRender fire, the Page_Init event has obviously already gone off. So, my question is, how can I change the content of the WebCustomForm from a dynamically added control within it? The way I see it, I have two options: I separate the CustomRender controls out into their own stand alone control and basically have an aspx page per control and handle the events myself on the page (although I was hoping to just make a control I drop on the page and forget about) I don't use events and just keep requesting the current page, but with different Request Parameters Or I go back to the drawing board with any better suggetions anyone can give me.

• tkinter frame does not show on startup

  this is my first question on SO, so correct me please if I make a fool of myself. I have this fairly complicated python / Tkinter application (python 2.7). On startup, the __init__ loads several frames, and loads a database. When that is finished, I want to set the application to a default state (there are 2 program states, 'calculate' and 'config'). Setting the state of the application means that the appropriate frame is displayed (using grid). When the program is running, the user can select a program state in the menu. Problem is, the frame is not displayed on startup. I get an empty application (menu bar and status bar are displayed). When I select a program state in the menu, the frame displays as it should. Question: What am I doing wrong? Should I update idletasks? I tried, but no result. Anything else? The frame (or label in this test) is not displayed at startup, but when the user selects the state (calling the same function) the frame is displayed. UPDATE the sample code in the comments (thanks for that!) pointed me in another direction. Further testing revealed (what I think) the cause of the problem. Disabling the display of the status bar made the program work as expected. Turns out, I used pack to display the statusbar and grid to display the frames. And they are in the same container, so problems arise. I fixed that by using only pack inside the main container. But the same problem is still there. This is what I use for the statusbar: self.status = GUI_helper.StatusBar(self.parent) self.status.pack(side=tk.BOTTOM, fill=tk.X) And if I comment out the last line (pack), the config frame loads on startup, as per this line: self.set_program_state("config") But if I let the status bar pack inside the main window, the config frame does not show. Where it does show when the user asks for it (with the same command as above).

• dynamic html "more information" callout / annotation (jquery? ajax control toolkit?)

  Hola, I have an app i'm building in c#, and i'd like to have the ability to have a user click a "more information" icon next to a field, which will then show a callout with some blurb about why the field contains what it does. ideally it'd look a lot like the ValidatorCallout, but instead of being shown as a result of validation, it'll be shown as a result of a mouseclick, or hover. Anyone know of a nice way to do this with either the ajaxcontroltoolkit, or jquery? cheers for any help you can give me.

  I have a HTML document with the below setup: <div class="main-div" style="padding: 5px; border: 1px solid green;"> <div class="first-div" style="width: 200px; height: 200px; padding: 5px; border: 1px solid purple"> First Div <a href="#" class="control">Control</a> </div> <div class="second-div hidden" style="width: 200px; height: 200px; padding: 5px; border: 1px solid red;"> Second Div <a href="#" class="control">Control</a> </div> </div> I also have a CSS class setup called hidden with display setup to none. I have jQuery setup like so: $('.control').click(function(){ var master = $(this).parent().parent(); var first_div = $(master).find(".first-div"); var second_div = $(master).find(".second-div"); $(first_div).toggleClass("hidden") $(second_div).toggleClass("hidden") }); This setup toggles the visibility of the divs, click the control button it hides one div and show the other. However this just hides and shows each div in a flash. I am looking to add some animation to the transitioning of the divs, maybe have one slide up and the other slide down when the 'control' is clicked and vice versa but I am unable to achieve this. Could anyone help out and give some advice on how to do this? Cheer Eef

In my view generatedsource tool i get the "" like this <tr><td><input size="50" id="ufile[]" name="ufile[]" type="file"></td></tr> when i submit the form i dont get the file name for the generated file type in my view page But i get the file name foe the one that is default What may be the problem?

• Ajax Control Toolkit CalendarExtender not closing when form body clicked.

  I am trying to simply have the calendar close when a user clicks anywhere on the page. I have downloaded the most recent version of the toolkit and I can not get this functionality to work. I am not sure if I am missing a property but the functionality works as expected on the asp.net sample toolkit page.
