  • sorting nested list, allow only li to be sorted witin the same ul

    - by Y.G.J
    $(document).ready(function() { $("#test-list").sortable({ items: "> li", handle : '.handle', axis: 'y', opacity: 0.6, update : function () { var order = $('#test-list').sortable('serialize'); $("#info").load("process-sortable.asp?"+order+"&id=catid&order=orderid&table=tblCats"); } }); $("#test-sub").sortable({ containment: "ul", items: "li", handle : '.handle2', axis: 'y', opacity: 0.6, update : function () { var order = $('ul').sortable('serialize'); $("#info").load("process-sortable.asp?"+order+"&id=catid&order=orderid&table=tblCats"); } }); }); <ul id="test-list"> <li id="listItem_10">first<img align="middle" src="Themes/arrow.png" class="handle" /></li> <li id="listItem_8">second<img align="middle" src="Themes/arrow.png" class="handle" /> <ul id="test-sub"> <li id="listItem_4"><img align="middle" src="Themes/arrow.png" class="handle2" /></li> <li id="listItem_3"><img align="middle" src="Themes/arrow.png" class="handle2" /></li> <ul id="test-sub"> <li id="listItem_9"><img align="middle" src="Themes/arrow.png" class="handle2" /></li> </ul> </li> </ul> </li> </ul> the problems i have: sorting the main ul is working but not all the time - i will try to fix that my own but if there is a problem with the code here and not the one in proccess-sortable - tell me. moving li in the main ul is ok but the sub or the sub of the sub is having problem - i can drag something from one sub to it's sub or the other way too - i don't want that to happend. i want to be able to drag li and by selecting that one that only this ul group will send to proccess-sortable to be updated - how can i catch the specific ul of li i am draging?

  • Grails spring security defaultTargetUrl going wrong path

    - by fsi
    Grails 2.4 with Spring security 2 3RC I have this on my Config.groovy grails.plugin.springsecurity.controllerAnnotations.staticRules = [ '/': ['permitAll'], '/index': ['permitAll'], '/index.gsp': ['permitAll'], '/**/js/**': ['permitAll'], '/**/css/**': ['permitAll'], '/**/images/**': ['permitAll'], '/**/favicon.ico': ['permitAll'] ] grails.plugin.springsecurity.successHandler.defaultTargetUrl = "/home/index" But this keeping me redirecting to assets/favicon.ico And my HomeController is like that @Secured(['ROLE_ADMIN', 'ROLE_USER']) def index() { if (SpringSecurityUtils.ifAllGranted('ROLE_ADMIN')) { redirect controller: 'admin', action: 'index' return } } And I modify this in my UrlMapping: "/"(controller: 'home', action:'index') Why it keeps me sending wrong path? Update: using another computer, it redirects me to /asset/grails_logo.png

  • How to discover getters and setters on hibernate objects

    - by Michael Jones
    I need to find a way of taking a hibernate object and discovering at runtime all of the getter methods that relate to persistable fields. I'm using annotations in the classes but have previously had difficulties working with them (I ran into a 2 year old bug the java developers still haven't fixed). Does anyone know how I can do this please, ideally without using annotations? Thanks. PS - What I'm trying to do here is to update a new object with values from an existing object dynamically.

  • new items on GRUB screen in ubuntu/linux

    - by artsince
    I regularly update my ubuntu (10.04), and new minor versions keep accumulating on the GRUB screen. Right now I have 5 different versions listed on the GRUB, even though I always select the latest version to work with. Am I supposed to do anything to get rid of the old version references? Do these old versions affect disk space/performance?

  • Stop $_POST from having the same value when I refresh

    - by Cortopasta
    When a vote value is changed, the form POSTs the change, then refreshes the page. This is called on the top of the page upon load: if (isset($_POST['q'.$question_id])) { $user->updateQuestionVotes($question_id, $_POST['q'.$question_id]); } Why does it update every time I refresh after the first time? Do I need to unset it somehow?

  • When/Why to use Cascading in SQL Server?

    - by Joel Coehoorn
    When setting up foreign keys in SQL Server, under what circumstances should you have it cascade on delete or update, and what is the reasoning behind it? This probably applies to other databases as well. I'm looking most of all for concrete examples of each scenario, preferably from someone who has used them successfully.

  • Ajax "deselects" hyperlink under the mouse cursor.

    - by thealliedhacker
    I have a page that performs an Ajax request that replaces a div every second. This div also has hyperlinks in it. If the user tries to click one of the hyperlinks, it will work, but if they move the cursor over the link, wait for a second without moving the cursor, the hyperlink no longer has the "hover" pseudostyle and if they click at the wrong time, the link doesn't work. Is there a way to update the div without causing this, or to restore the "mouse over" state of the link?

  • Updating data source on multiple pivot tables within Excel

    - by phrenetic
    Is there an easy way to update the data source for multiple pivot tables on a single Excel sheet at the same time? All of the pivot tables reference the same named range, but I need to create a second worksheet that has the same pivot tables, but accessing a different named range. Ideally I would like to be able to do some kind of search and replace operation (like you can do on formulae), rather than updating each individual pivot table by hand. Any suggestions?

  • git repository sync between computers, when moving around?

    - by Johan
    Hi Let's say that I have a desktop pc and a laptop, and sometimes I work on the desktop and sometimes I work on the laptop. What is the easiest way to move a git repository back and forth? I want the git repositories to be identical, so that I can continue where I left of at the other computer. I would like to make sure that I have the same branches and tags on both of the computers. Thanks Johan Note: I know how to do this with SubVersion, but I'm curious on how this would work with git. If it is easier, I can use a third pc as classical server that the two pc:s can sync against. Note: Both computers are running Linux. Update: So let's try XANI:s idea with a bare git repo on a server, and the push command syntax from KingCrunch. In this example there is two clients and one server. So let's create the server part first. ssh user@server mkdir -p ~/git_test/workspace cd ~/git_test/workspace git --bare init So then from one of the other computers I try to get a copy of the repo with clone: git clone user@server:~/git_test/workspace/ Initialized empty Git repository in /home/user/git_test/repo1/workspace/.git/ warning: You appear to have cloned an empty repository. Then go into that repo and add a file: cd workspace/ echo "test1" > testfile1.txt git add testfile1.txt git commit testfile1.txt -m "Added file testfile1.txt" git push origin master Now the server is updated with testfile1.txt. Anyway, let's see if we can get this file from the other computer. mkdir -p ~/git_test/repo2 cd ~/git_test/repo2 git clone user@server:~/git_test/workspace/ cd workspace/ git pull And now we can see the testfile. At this point we can edit it with some more content and update the server again. echo "test2" >> testfile1.txt git add testfile1.txt git commit -m "Test2" git push origin master Then we go back to the first client and do a git pull to see the updated file. And now I can move back and forth between the two computers, and add a third if I like to.

  • Java MessageDigest result does not stay constant

    - by user344146
    I've got this function for encrypting passwords in Java, but somehow when I call MessageDigest, it returns a different result every time even though I call it with the same password. I wonder if I am initializing it wrong somehow. public String encrypt (String password) { MessageDigest md = MessageDigest.getInstance("SHA-1"); md.reset(); md.update(password.getBytes(Charset.forName("utf-8")),0,password.length()); String res = md.digest().toString(); }

  • Alternatives to "Raining Sockets"

    - by sanity
    I need to build a Java app with considerable IO requirements, supporting tens of thousands of concurrent TCP connections. I found a library called Raining Sockets which seems intended to make it easier to use Java's asynchronous NIO package, but the last update was 6 years ago. Are there other libraries, that are preferably still under active development, and with a public maven repository, that I should look at?

  • Why don't my groovy enums work, or even compile?

    - by ?????
    I'm running Groovy Version: 1.7.0 JVM: 1.6.0_17 (Update -- I just upgraded to 1.7.1 and get the same errors!) I've tried to use enums, using the exact syntax from the groovy documentation, and each time I see the compile error: Groovy:The class java.lang.Enum refers to the class java.lang.Enum and uses 1 parameters, but the referred class takes no parameters Any ideas on what's going on? For example: This code won't compile or run, and gets the error above. enum VehicleStatus { OFF, IDLING, ACCELERATING, DECELARATING } class Vehicle { Long id Long version VehicleStatus status }

  • Updates to .NET Compact Framework in 2010?

    - by Vaccano
    This question (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/245566/net-compact-framework-4-0) asked this back before the release of VS 2010. The answer basically said to wait for the release. Now that the release is here, does anyone know? Is there an upgrade/update to the .NETCF? something past .NETCF 3.5?

  • Ajax page.replace_html problems with partials in Rails

    - by Chris Power
    Hello, I am having a problem with a pretty simple AJAX call in rails. I have a blog-style application and each post has a "like" feature. I want to be able to increment the "like" on each post in the index using AJAX onclick. I got it to work; however, the DOM is a bit tricky here, because no matter what partial its looking at, it will only update the TOP partial. so if I click "like" on post #2, it will update and replace the "likes" on post #1 instead. Code for _post partial: <some code here...> <div id="postcontent"> Posted <%= post.created_at.strftime("%A, %b %d")%> <br /> </div> <div id="postlikes"> <%= link_to_remote 'Like', :url => {:controller => 'posts', :action => 'like_post', :id => post.id}%> <%= post.like %> </div> code for _postlikes partial: <div id="postlikes"> <%= link_to_remote 'Like', :url => {:controller => 'posts', :action => 'like_post', :id => @post.id}%> <%= @post.like %> </div> </div> like_post.rjs code: page.replace_html "postlikes", :partial => "postlikes", :object => @post page.visual_effect :highlight, "postlikes", :duration => 3 So this all works properly for the first "postcontent" div. But this is an index of posts, so if I wanted to updated the second "postcontent" div on the page, it will still replace the html of the first. I understand the problem, I just don't know how to fix it :) Thanks in advance!
