  • Computer generated files - how do they work ?

    Hello, .... ‹BÿЃÀ‰D$Ç„$  ....... that's what happens when you open (notepad) such a file that I'm talking about How do algorithms decode that information and when does a program use/generate it ? Does some notepad-like application exist that open such files and transform them to readable code/data ? Any more information which will clarify about these files will be very helpful. Thank you for your time, P.S I'm not talking strictly about .exe files

  • How to programatically sense the iPhone mute switch?

    I can't seem to find in the SDK how to programatically sense the mute button/switch on the iPhone. When my app plays background music, it responds properly to the volume button without me having any code to follow that but, when I use the mute switch, it just keeps playing away. How do I test the position of mute? (NOTE: My program has its own mute switch, but I'd like the physical switch to override that.) Thanks!

I found this link that states where the source code is but I cannot find it in my platform builder installation - I expect this is because it isn't the Windows Automotive platform.     Hey guys, I have a laptop with a very sensitive touch pad, and wanted to code a small program that could block the mouse input when I was typing a paper or something. I didn't think it would be hard to do, considering everything I've seen on low-level hooks, but I was wrong (astounding, right?).     Is there a way to specify how an image is scaled up in an Image element with LayoutTransform set to a ScaleTransform with integer values for ScaleX and ScaleY? I want to display the scaled image crisply (ie using 'nearest neighbour' scaling), with no blurring. (Imagine how you would want a bitmap editing program to behave when zooming in). I noticed the protected property VisualBitmapScalingMode on Image, so created a subclass of Image that sets this property to BitmapScalingMode.NearestNeighbor. However, this had no effect.

  • Deploying patches and new versions.

When I'm ready to push patches or whole new versions I'm currently copying the files individually, is there a program that can help me do this task?
