    I have been given access to (parts of) a remote SQL Server 2005 with SQL Server authentication in order to be able to make changes to a database without involving other people who is not working on the project. The database have been created on my local machine. Is there any way to restore the remote database from a backup file on my local computer? I do not currently have access to the filesystem on the remote server. EDIT: To clarify, the access I have is that i can log in to the server via the SQL Server Management Studio. I have one connection to my local database server and one connection to the remote server. What I basically want to do is copy the database from one connection to the other.

Also if I want to add a comment for each parameter followed by # , after the parameter (e.g 7870 # this is default port number) to let the user know about the parameter How can I achieve it in same file?   • Corporate IM with video that actually works, suggestions?

    Hi. Does anyone here have a suggestion for a cross-platform IM solution wich will work with voip/video on both Windows (XP and 7) and Mac OS X from 10.4 and upwards? Right now were in a kind of mixed enviroment, with some Mac users using iChat server since they need video support (conference across several offices over VPN), but it wont't work on windows clients. The rest of us are happily using Openfire+Spark, but there's no VoIP or video avaible from what i've found, unless you want to add in several 3rd party software (like red5 and asterisk). Requirements: As said before; must work on both Windows and Mac Internal server (no Skype etc) File transfer between platforms SSO (Single Sign-On) via Active Directory authentication Some sort of screen sharing would be a plus, like switching over to a screen capture (powerpoint, software training etc) We can afford to buy software if that's needed to get this working without any hiccups across platforms.   • How to configure citrix presentation server 4.5 login config

    Hello, I am a little confused as to something my Citrix Server has been doing. When I login to the web login, (username, password, domain); everything logs in ok and I see all the available application. The problem that I was trying to fix is that when I try to start an application, it asks me to login again to the server that is hosting the citrix server. So, is there anyway to have the initial login credentials pass-through to the server login or skip the server login completely? Side note - I do have pass-through authentication enabled on both my internal and external Citrix site. Thanks for the help! Cory

    I recently started a Systems Admin job where teamviewer is used pretty frequently here. Another admin recently left, and the concern is they still have access to all our systems due to how teamviewer works. I want to migrate the entire environment to domain authentication. The documentation shows that setting up windows auth (domain) is easy, but I want to be sure that it is the only way to be authenticated with a teamviewer session here. I cannot yet find anything which explicitly says this. We have licensing for teamviewer 5 and 6, I think. Right now we have 7 in the environment, but I think most are in a trial version, so I am likely to revert to 5 or 6.

    Our WSUS server stopped working until the patch related to .NET 4.0 was installed, at which point clients started downloading and updating again. However, the WSUS mmc console occasionally disconnects when performing various tasks, such as running automatic approval rules; also wsusutil checkhealth creates the following events: 13042: Self-update is not working. 12002: The Reporting Web Service is not working. 12012: The API Remoting Web Service is not working. 12032: The Server Synchronization Web Service is not working. 12022: The Client Web Service is not working. 12042: The SimpleAuth Web Service is not working. 12052: The DSS Authentication Web Service is not working. Apparently there are many possible causes for these events. I'm looking for a way to figure out what is wrong, so that I can fix it.

    I have a dirt simple little function that launches the blackberry browser on a streaming media file in order to launch the built in media player. Everything works fine but there is this annoying dialog every time from the browser asking me if I want to save or open the file. My answer is always "open" the file so is there a way I can make it default and not bring up the dialog each time?   • Jquery UI accordion question - how would you approach this?

    I am using jquery UI accordion control in one of my apps asp.net apps. The data for the accordion comes from a database, and each database record has an ID, a Title Field and a content field. The title is the heading, and the content is the data that shows up when the draw is opened... I'd like to be able to call my page like this: http://www.mywebsite.com/mypage.aspx?ID=123 and have it display all the data (as it does now), but then have the default 'drawer' of the accordion open to the section that corresponds to the ID number passed in on the url...there are about 50 sections on the page. Any suggestions on how to approach this? My questions is specific to the jquery accordion function, the rest I know. So where would be the best place to 'tag' the drawer with the unique ID's, and then what is the snippet of javascript code (I assume) that I would use 'open' that drawer based on the ID passed in??     I'd like to create an assembly in memory, using an using the classes in Reflection.Emit Currently, I can create the assembly and get it's bytes using something like AssemblyBuilder builder = AppDomain.CurrentDomain.DefineDynamicAssembly(..., AssemblyBuilderAccess.Save); ... create the assembly ... builder.Save(targetFileName); using(FileStream fs = File.Open(targetFileName, FileMode.Open)) { ... read the bytes from the file stream ... } However, it does so by creating a file on the local filesystem. I don't actually need the file, just the bytes that would be in the file. Is it possible to create the assembly without writing any files?

    I'm attempting to override and implement my own TabExpansion. In the function I want to parse the contents of $psise.CurrentFile.Editor.Text when a certain $lastword criteria is matched. The issue I have is that the variable $psise.CurrentFile.Editor.Text is resolved to the contents of my TabExpansion function rather than whatever text is in a PowerShell ISE tab. Here's simple test function. Open an ISE tab and paste the following tabexpansion function definition: function tabexpansion { $psise.CurrentFile.Editor.Text } Run the script in ISE. Next open another tab in ISE type some text and press the tab key The output will be function tabexpansion { $psise.CurrentFile.Editor.Text } Rather than whatever text was in the second tab. Is there any way to get $psise.CurrentFile.Editor.Text to resolve at runtime when used within a tabexpansion function?

  • Reset user passwd when you don't know it

    I have a small problem. I have shared keys setup on my domain, so I never type my password to login anymore. I've forgotten my password now. This is a problem because only my user can sudo. Password authentication for root has been disabled, so without my password, I cannot do maintenance on my web server. Is there a way to reset my password as my [now only] key-authenticated user? Specifically, can this be done on CentOS 4?

    The error message “saslauthd internal error” seems like a catch-all for saslauthd, so I’m not sure if it’s a red herring, but here’s the brief description of my problem: This Kerberos command works fine: $ echo getprivs | kadmin -p username -w password Authenticating as principal username with password. kadmin: getprivs current privileges: GET ADD MODIFY DELETE But this SASL test command fails: $ testsaslauthd -u username -p password 0: NO "authentication failed" saslauthd works fine with "-a sasldb", but the above is with "-a kerberos5" This is the most detail I seem to be able to get from saslauthd: saslauthd[]: auth_krb5: krb5_get_init_creds_password: -1765328353 saslauthd[]: do_auth : auth failure: [user=username] [service=imap] [realm=] [mech=kerberos5] [reason=saslauthd internal error] Kerberos seems happy: krb5kdc[](info): AS_REQ (4 etypes {18 17 16 23}) 127.0.0.1: ISSUE: authtime 1298779891, etypes {rep=18 tkt=18 ses=18}, username at REALM for krbtgt/DOMAIN at REALM I’m running Ubuntu 10.04 (lucid) with the latest updates, namely: Kerberos 5 release 1.8.1 saslauthd 2.1.23 Thanks for any clues.

  • How to set source path of image within html pages to show in webbrowser control

    Hi in my application there is web browser control to show some static html pages. The pages are displayed properly. but images are not displayed.. I tried with changing src-path but no success. my htmlpages folder is located at bin folder. And i am assigning it as. FileStream source = new FileStream(@"..\HtmlPages\supportHtml.html", FileMode.Open, FileAccess.Read); if i open html files in browser, the images are displayed properly.. So, What is the correct path for images..?? If i set full path to src attribute of <img> tag..it works. but i think its not a proper way. :( EDIT: If i assign d:\myapp\bin\HtmlPages\support.gif then image is displayed. And if i assign "..\HtmlPages\support.gif" or "support.gif" image is not shown.
