  I need some php code for parsing raw apache logs. In particular, I want the number of times mode=search and the term used for searching. • What is causing these visual artifacts on my OpenGL sprites?

  What could be the cause of the defects in my characters sprite? I am using OpenGL ES 2.0. I draw my sprites in a sprite batch that uses UV coordinates from one large texture atlas. If you look around the character' edges, you'll see two noticeable problems: The invisible alpha background is not invisible, but shows a strange static-like background. There are unwanted streaks where the character nears the edge of the frame (but only in some frames of the animation, this happened to be one of them). Any idea what could be causing these? I will provide related code if asked for, but I'll try to avoid just dumping the entire project and expecting someone to look through it all.   I want to match YYYY-YY for sequential years. I at moment I'm trying to match where all the second YY is the 3rd and 4th characters in YYYY with 1 added to it. • Checking if Date is within Range

  So I am using a scripting language with c++ syntax, and trying to think of the best way to check if a date is within range. The problem I am running into is that if the current day is in a new month, the check is failing. Here is what my code looks like... if(iMonth >= iStartMonth && iMonth <= iEndMonth) { if(iDay >= iStartDay && iDay <= iEndDay) { if(iYear >= iStartYear && iYear <= iEndYear) { bEnabled = true; return; When I have something like this... (Pulled in from cfg file specified by client) Start date: 3 27 2010 End Date: 4 15 2010 Current Date: 3 31 2010 The day check fails because if(iDay <= iEndDay) does not pass. The scripting language doesn't have a lot of time related functions, and I cant compare timestamps because im allowing users to put like "03:27:2010" and "04:15:2010" as start/end dates in a config file. Im assuming I am just not thinking straight and missing an easy fix.

Before including the control into master page I successfully configured anonymous access to the site. After including the control and deploying - site prompts for user name and password. I allowed the anonymous access to the list. Oh yes ... It worked on SHarepoint 2010 beta, but the problem happens when deploying to the Sharepoint 2010 final release. Anyone know where I could poke and pry from here? UPDATE: I created a clone application on a single server. And there are no problems. The images on the cluster do show up (occassionally). If I keep clicking on the folders that lead to photos, it will 50% of the time return a 404 with it not being able to find the photo, and the other half it will present the photo. So the problem has got to be with the server interaction between the ActiveRecord through multiple servers.

• Enterprise integration of disparate systems

  We're about to embark on a fairly large integration effort to kill off a bunch of Access and Sql Server databases and get everything into one coherent enterprise system. There are also a number of other systems (accounting, CRM, payroll, MS Exchange) that hold critical data that we need to integrate (use for data validation in other systems), report on and otherwise expose. It is likely that some of these systems will change in the next few years, so we need to isolate our systems to be ready for change. Ideally we would be able to expose our forms in a consistent manner across as many of our our systems as possible without having to re-develop them for each system. We are currently targeting SharePoint (2007 and soon 2010), Office (2007 and soon 2010 - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), Reporting Services, .Net console applications, .Net Windows applications, shell extensions, and with the possibility of exposing some functionality on mobile devices (BlackBerries currently, maybe iPhones later) and via our website. We're moving development to Visual Studio 2010 (from 2005) ahead of migrating to SharePoint 2010 and Office 2010. Given that most of our development is presently targeted to the .Net framework (mostly in C#) it seems logical to stick with this unless there is some compelling reason to switch frameworks/platform for some aspects. We're thinking of your standard Database-Data Integration layer-Business Objects Layer-Web Services (or REST) layer-Client Application plus doing our own client application with WPF (or something else?) forms that can also be exposed in the MS systems (SharePoint, Office, Windows). So, we don't want much, just everything :) Basically we need to isolate ourselves from database and systems changes, create an API that can be used throughout our systems and then make this functionality available in our client applications. I'm very keen to get pointers from anyone who has tips on how to pull this off. Should we look at the Enterprise Library as a place to start? Is REST with ASP.Net MVC2 a better solution than Web Services for a system like this? Will WPF deliver forms re-use or is there something better?

• SEO - Does google+other search engines index links within <noscript> tags?

  I have setup some dropdown menus allowing users to find pages on my website by selecting options across multiple dropdowns: eg. Color of Car, Year This would generate a link like: mysite.xyz/blue/2010/ The only problem is, because this link is dynamically assembled with Javascript, I've also had to assemble each possible combination from the dropdowns into a list like: <noscript> No javascript enabled? I want to provide them here, moreso so that google can actually index my pages - but for those without javascript, they can still navigate too. Your thoughts? Also.. even though I have some links that appear to have been indexed, I AM NOT 100% SURE, which is why I'm asking :P

• WindowsPhone App data connection FAILS in MarketPlace published App but WORKS in Visual Studio development (same XAP)

  Tearing my hair out(!) My last App update has been accepted and released by MarketPlace but the remote server data connection does NOT work/connect from the downloaded App (from MarketPlace). However, the same App (the accepted XAP) when I'm running it from Visual Studio, using the same remote server address works just fine. WHY!... Has anyone else ever run into anything like this? Here's the remote path: http://www.streamcommunication.com/ZenAwaken/DownloadableCollections.xml I can load that to a browser and retrieve the XML When I'm in Visual Studio I can connect via that path and retrieve the file and consume the data BUT!! The exact same XAP which has been accepted and distributed by Windows Phone marketplace FAILS. Is it possible that MarketPlace does something (encryption?) to the XAP that would corrupt the path string? Any thoughts or experiences would be very helpful! Tom

• SSRS Parameters Displaying incorrectly

  Basically, I have a datetime parameter, after picking a date with the calendar widget, the date will display correctly (12/1/2010 or 1-DEC-2010). If the parameter tab refreshes in any way, either from report processing or changing another of the parameters, the date flips the month and day (1-DEC-2010 becomes 12-Jan-2010, or 12/1/2010 becomes 1/12/2010). I'm utilizing the SSRS plugin for C# (Microsoft.Reporting.Winforms.ReportViewer). Has anyone seen anything like this?
