    My GWT app has a search result with orderid column as hyperlink. On clicking, it opens up another tab which shows the details. I want to expose this particular functionality externally say in an email http://www.myapp.com/XYZApp.html?orderid=1234 so that user can directly go to the details page after login to the App. In JSP world, it was pretty straightforward. Is it possible in GWT given that the call to show up the details page is not in the main GWT module (XYZApp.html)

Are languages like C and Pascal faster than object oriented languages like C++ and Delphi? I know language speed depends more on compiler than on language itself, but do compilers for procedural languages produce faster code than OO ones (including C++ compilers that can produce C code)?

I don't want to show this code to the user the second time if he/she refreshes again. How do I go about doing that? Messages don't seem to have any sort of expiry setting. I wrote a simple python program to do the trick with graphviz, but it gives me segmentation fault and I don't know why, if the graph is too big or if i'm missing something.   • Jqm is not a function

    Hi all, I'm having some trouble with Jquery and JqModal, and I hope you are able to help, since I've been struggling for hours.. Having a single button element with an onclick action running my method "test" (shown below): $('#picture_form').jqm({ajax: '/test.php'}); $('#picture_form').jqmShow(); This will load the ajax content of test.php into my div element picture_form, shown using JqModal as its supposed to! Though when I close this window, and re-clicks the button I'm getting the error: $("#picture_form").jqm is not a function. As a solution I've tried to use the JqModal trigger function, and this leaves me able to open and close the JqModal windows as many times as I want to. Sadly I can only call the 'trigger' using test environment, in my production code I have to open the JqModal window using a function.. Does anyone have a clue why this 'bug' appears when calling the opening when using a function? Thanks in advance

    What's a simple and canonical way to read an entire file into memory in Scala? (Ideally, with control over character encoding.) The best I can come up with is: scala.io.Source.fromPath("file.txt").getLines.reduceLeft(_+_) or am I supposed to use one of Java's god-awful idioms, the best of which (without using an external library) seems to be: import java.util.Scanner import java.io.File new Scanner(new File("file.txt")).useDelimiter("\\Z").next() From reading mailing list discussions, it's not clear to me that scala.io.Source is even supposed to be the canonical I/O library. I don't understand what its intended purpose is, exactly. ... I'd like something dead-simple and easy to remember. For example, in these languages it's very hard to forget the idiom ... I wish to use it with my Eclipse IDE (Version: 3.4.1), but quite frankly, can't figure out how. I've tried various outdated plugins, only with large amounts of errors in return, so I'm hoping someone could guide me from downloading the right version to installing it, and being able to press "RUN", and see a simple Hello World in JSP/JSF work.     in my project there's a service that listens for changes in the connectivity. When wifi is switched off to on then it gets called. The problem it's that i'm using a fragment and inside a fragment there's a button with the setonclicklistener(); and onclick(); SOMETIMES when i touch the button then the service receives an intent that the connectivity has changed (the method gets called without any reason...).   • How to set source path of image within html pages to show in webbrowser control

    Hi in my application there is web browser control to show some static html pages. The pages are displayed properly. but images are not displayed.. I tried with changing src-path but no success. my htmlpages folder is located at bin folder. And i am assigning it as. FileStream source = new FileStream(@"..\HtmlPages\supportHtml.html", FileMode.Open, FileAccess.Read); if i open html files in browser, the images are displayed properly.. So, What is the correct path for images..?? If i set full path to src attribute of <img> tag..it works. but i think its not a proper way. :( EDIT: If i assign d:\myapp\bin\HtmlPages\support.gif then image is displayed. And if i assign "..\HtmlPages\support.gif" or "support.gif" image is not shown.

  • How to save big "database-like" class in python

    Hi there, I'm doing a project with reasonalby big DataBase. It's not a probper DB file, but a class with format as follows: DataBase.Nodes.Data=[[] for i in range(1,1000)] f.e. this DataBase is all together something like few thousands rows. Fisrt question - is the way I'm doing efficient, or is it better to use SQL, or any other "proper" DB, which I've never used actually. And the main question - I'd like to save my DataBase class with all record, and then re-open it with Python in another session. Is that possible, what tool should I use? cPickle - it seems to be only for strings, any other? In matlab there's very useful functionality named save workspace - it saves all Your variables to a file that You can open at another session - this would be vary useful in python!

  • Importing Python module from the Bash

    I am launching a Python script from the command line (Bash) under Linux. I need to open Python, import a module, and then have lines of code interpreted. The console must then remain in Python (not quit it). How do I do that? I have tried an alias like this one: alias program="cd /home/myname/programs/; python; import module; line_of_code" But this only starts python and the commands are not executed (no module import, no line of code treated). What is the proper way of doing this, provided I need to keep Python open (not quit it) after the script is executed? Many thanks.
