  I've just finished re-installing my OS, and as always install and test standard tools which I use, and now I get this error like never before when I tried to start Jboss 5 from eclipse, its quite   I have a webservice in IIS. I have created OData services before, but normally with a datacontext and IQueryable as Properties/Getters. What I want is to create the service by passing in IEnumerable, into the constructor IEnumerable<IQueryable>> queryableObjects; var dataService = new DataService(queryableObjects); Is this at all possible?

• Can't Deploy or Upload Large SSRS 2008 Report from VS or IE

  So far in this project I have two reports in VS2008/BIDS. The first one contains 1 tablix and is about 100k. The second one contains 3 tablixes (tablices?) and is about 257k. I can successfully deploy the smaller report from VS and I can upload it from the Report Manager in IE. I can view/run it from Report Manager and I can get to the Report Server (web service) URL from my browser just fine. Everything is done over HTTPS and there is nothing wrong with the certificates. With the larger report, the error I get in VS is "The operation has timed out" after about 100 seconds. The error when I upload from IE is "The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send" after about 130 seconds. In the RSReportServer.config file I tried changing Authentication/EnableAuthPersistence from true to false and restarting the service, but still get the error. I have the key "SecureConnectionLevel" set to 2. Changing this to 0 and turning off SSL is not going to be an option. I added a registry key named "MaxRequestBytes" to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\HTTP\Parameters and set it to 5242880 (5MB) and restarted the HTTP and SRS services as suggested in a forum post by Jin Chen of MSFT. I still cannot upload the larger report. This is on MS SQL 2008 and WS 2003.   Hi, I'm using the Android APIDemo sample code. When I run the CameraPreview example, at first it was giving me an error. (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2556389/android-camera-functionality-howto) I traced that one down and the sample was working for a while. Now, it no longer works. It says ERROR/AndroidRuntime(2949): java.lang.RuntimeException: Fail to connect to camera service What can be causing that? It happens when camera.open() is called. Thanks, Tee

  In a Windows Server 2003 environment with a self hosted .Net 3.5/WCF application, how can an application report its status to a BigIP Local Traffic Manager? Example: One of my services errors. My custom WCF application hosting software (written because Windows Server 2008 is not yet available and I'm using WCF TCP bindings) detects this and wants to report itself as down until it can recover the errant service. It needs to report itself as down to the BigIP LTM so that it is no longer sent client originated requests.

I believe the issue is that the encryption key I have been supplied by the web service developers is 48 characters long. I see that the iPhone SDK constant "kCCKeySize3DES" is 24. So I SUSPECT, but don't know, that the commoncrypto API call is only using the first 24 characters of the supplied key. Is this correct? Is there ANY way I can get this to generate the correct encrypted pin? I have output the data bytes from the encryption PRIOR to base64 encoding it and have attempted to match this against those generated from the .NET code (with the help of a .NET developer who sent the byte array output to me). Neither the non-base64 encoded byte array nor the final base64 encoded strings match.

  While developing WCF service i've faced problem of transferring large data as method params ( 4 Mb of raw size, not considering transfer/message overhead). The solution for this problem is to use chunking or streaming, but all the samples i've seen assume client is aware of used method and uses available block size for sending/receiving portions of data, and the problem (for me) is that it's not possible to call just one method, like SaveData(DataInformation info) but write wrapper method which will instead iterate smth like SaveDataChunk(byte[] buffer) Could it be somehow made transparent for client, just calling 'SaveData'?

• Stock ticker symbol lookup API

  Is there any sort of API that just offers a simple symbol lookup service? i.e., input a company name and it will tell you the ticker symbol? I've tried just screen-scraping Google Finance, but after a little while it rate limits you and you have to enter a CAPTCHA. I'm trying to batch-lookup about 2000 ticker symbols. Any ideas?

• Jboss Seam: Enabling Debug page on WebLogic 10.3.2 (11g)

  Hi all, SKIP TO UPDATE 3 I want to enable the Seam debug page on Weblogic 10.3.2 (11g). So, I have done the following: I have the jboss-seam and jboss-seam-debug jars as dependency in both my ejb and web maven projects (both are modules of my superproject) I put this context parameter in my web.xml: <context-param> <param-name>org.jboss.seam.core.init.debug</param-name> <param-value>true</param-value> </context-param> Now, when I hit the URL of my application, I get the debug page with this exception (full stacktrace at the end of the post): Caused by java.lang.IllegalStateException with message: "No phase id bound to current thread (make sure you do not have two SeamPhaseListener instances installed)" From posts I read it seems that this is somehow related to two jars of jboss-seam or jboss-seam-debug being in the classpath. I opened my ear file and only one of each is present (in the ear) whereas the war itself has no libraries in the WEB-INF/lib. I have also read of another way to initialize debug page using the components.xml. They have an outer EAR project containing the inner WAR project. They discuss that this may be related to how jars end up in the projects. I use Maven, and I had set it to create "Skinny Wars", that is excluding all jar dependencies from the inner WAR project, so that it remains small in size. All its dependencies are contained in the EAR and are used by all other modules. I changed the settings of the maven-war-plugin to leave inside the war the web-specific jars (the ones mentioned in the link, like RichFaces, jboss-seam-debug, Facelets etc). However, the problem has reverted to its previous form. I now get the debug page, whatever link I press, with the initial exception. • Delphi SOAP Envelope and WCF

  Hi all, I am working on a system that provides a soap interface. One of the systems that are going to use the interface is coded in Delphi 7. The web service is developed with WCF, basic http binding, SOAP 1.1. If I use SOAP UI (JAVA), the service works properly. Gefunden wurde "Element "NS2:GetCustomerRequest" aus Namespace "http://services.xxx.de/xxx"". Zeile 1, Position 599. Means something like The Body was expected. But instead the Element "NS2:GetCustomerReques" was found. Now my questions is: Can I somehow change the way Delphi creates the envelope? Or are the ways to make WCF work with such message formats? Any help is greatly appreciated!

• Custom RoleProvider with MVC 2.0 webconfig

  I have a custom MembershipProvider and a custom RoleProvider. I created the custom MembershipProvider by creating a SimpleMembershipProvider class which implements the MembershipProvider class. After that I changed my web.config and works. So I used the same approach creating a custom RoleProvider. Nothing special, just creating a SimpleRoleProvider class which implements the RoleProvider class. But then when I changed the web.config file and runs the solution I get the following error message: Web.Config <membership defaultProvider="DashboardMembershipProvider"> <providers> <clear/> <add name="SimpleMembershipProvider" type="Dashboard.Web.Controlling.Account.SimpleMembershipProvider" /> </providers> </membership> <roleManager enabled="true" defaultProvider="DashboardRoleProvider"> <providers> <clear/> <add name="DashboardRoleProvider" type="Dashboard.Web.Controlling.Account.DashboardRoleProvider" /> </providers> </roleManager> Configuration Error Description: An error occurred during the processing of a configuration file required to service this request. Please review the specific error details below and modify your configuration file appropriately. Parser Error Message: No parameterless constructor defined for this object. Source Error Line 78: <add name="SimpleRoleProvider" Line 79: type="Dashboard.Web.Controlling.Account.SimpleRoleProvider" /> So I searched the web. And tried on the type attribute, which generates the following errors: Configuration Error Description: An error occurred during the processing of a configuration file required to service this request. Parser Error Message: Could not load file or assembly 'Dashboard.Web.Controlling.Account' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
