• IllegalArgumentException: width and height must be > 0 during zoomOut in Google MapView

  I'm trying to zoom in on a Google MapView on step in the oncreateMethod of my Activity. Everytime I try to zoom the map via the mapController I get an IllegalArgumentException: 04-15 10:16:51.012: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(528): java.lang.RuntimeException: Unable to start activity ComponentInfo{com.innomos.couponimo.android.client/com.innomos.couponimo.android.client.ui.showstores.StoreMap}: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: width and height must be > 0 This Exception is thrown if I call the zoomOut or zoomIn function of MapController. Sadly the zoomIn function I'm using does not take any arguments. The onCreateMethod where I'm calling the zoom functions looks like this: mapView = (MapView) findViewById(R.id.map); mapView.setBuiltInZoomControls(true); MapController mapController = mapView.getController(); mapController.zoomIn(); I'm a little bit at loss here because I'm doing nothing special. • 100% width table cell

  Hello! I have this table layout. I want to align the whole content to the right. So i'm using one cell with width: 100%;. Usually everything looks good and nice. But there is something, which i don't understand. If the content in cell, which has colspan, becomes bigger than normal cell in this column (you can test this by clicking Click to test button), it brakes whole layout. This happens on Chrome, Safari 4 and 5, IE8, but on Opera, FF and IE7 is OK. • Wrapping variable width text in emacs lisp

  I am hacking up a tagging application for emacs. I have got a tag cloud/weighted list successfully displaying on a buffer, but i am running into a snag. I need to be able to properly word-wrap the buffer, but I haven't a clue where to start. The font I am using is a variable width font. On top of that, each tag is going to be in a different size, depending on how many times it shows up on the buffer. Finally, the window that displays the tagcloud could be in a window that is 200 pixels wide, or the full screen width. I really have no idea where to start. • 100% width bg images not extending on horizontal scroll

  I'm noticing this issue. I made a quick screen capture to demonstrate: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/904456/2010-06-14_2323.swf Basically when you have a min-width set and the viewport goes under that constraint, a horizontal scroll bar appears. Pretty much what you would expect, but when you scroll over horizontally all elements that are suppose to extend across the entire width of the page and have background images/colors different from the body do not extend. If you resize the viewport it seems to catch up. Is this a known issue? You can see it on a lot of sites, http://gowalla.com for example. Any ideas?

  We are using jCarousel on our websites to display images. Simple enough. We have fairly flexible layouts so the carousels are not always the same width. FF, IE7+, Chrome, Safari etc work perfectly well taking up the space available. However IE6 ends up sending the jCarousel script into a loop and warns that a script is stopping the page from loading correctly. To stop IE6 from failing we are having to specify a fixed width in CSS for the carousel container. Is this a problem that others have had with IE6 and jCarousel?

  The printf/fprintf/sprintf family supports a width field in its format specifier. I have a doubt for the case of (non-wide) char arrays arguments: Is the width field supposed to mean bytes or characters? What is the (correct-de facto) behaviour if the char array corresponds to (say) a raw UTF-8 string? (I know that normally I should use some wide char type, that's not the point) For example, in char s[] = "ni\xc3\xb1o"; // utf8 encoded "niño" fprintf(f,"%5s",s); Is that function supposed to try to ouput just 5 bytes (plain C chars) (and you take responsability of misalignments or other problems if two bytes results in a textual characters) ? Or is it supposed to try to compute the length of "textual characters" of the array? (decodifying it... according to the current locale?) (in the example, this would amount to find out that the string has 4 unicode chars, so it would add a space for padding).

But when I embed the .swf file into a HTML page, the application's background color covers the whole screen, and when the Flash Player Settings message box pops up it is outside of the area I defined in the code above. • emacs windows, distribute the width through the frame

  I used once a very nice emacs function that set all my windows (emacs windows, not frames) width evenly. If you open emacs and do C-x 3 twice in a row, you get three vertical windows. Then running the function I am looking for makes the width of these windows the same. I can't for the life of me find this function again. Wouldn't someone help me to: find the name of the function give me the keyboard shortcut if any tell me what I should have done to find the answer by myself Thanks!

  Hiya All, I have a rather strange bug which i can't make sense of that is apearing in webkit based browsers (chrome and safari). When this page http://bluprintliving.mammalworld.com/turnmill-street loads for the first time the content seems to jump out of the container but only at the end of the render. on refresh it stays in and behaves. Generally the page in cache and out of cache looks different. Anyone have any ideas or clues they can shed on this issue? Much appreciated.   Hello, gcc 4.4.4 c89 I got into a recent discussion about "fixed width strings" and "zero terminated strings". When I think about this. They seem to be the same thing. A string with a terminating null. i.e. char *name = "Joe bloggs"; Is a fixed width string that cannot be changed. And also has a terminating null.   I'll try to explain this as best I can. I have multiple divs that are fixed-width but variable height. I want to float these boxes into two columns inside a fixed-width container. How do I make the height of the content-display and nav-menu-container elements extend to the remaining height of the browser window as the browser height is being adjusted by a user provided the height in the browser window is greater than 400px (The height of the header plus the nav-menu-container)? I would like for the scrollbar to be inside the nav-menu-content element if the total height in the browser is greater than the sum of the height of the header (100px) and the nav-menu-container element (300px). If the browser window's height is less than 400px then a scrollbar would appear in the browser window to allow scrolling throughout the 100px header and the 300px min-height of the below elements.   Is there any way I can get the height of a label, if it hypothetically had a certain width? I've been trying with control.GetPreferredSize(size) like so: Dim wantedWidth as Integer = 100 dim ctrlSize as Size = label.GetPreferredSize(new Size(wantedWidth, 0)) because I thought that setting height = 0, would indicate a free height, but the height I get is way too small. I also tried to estimate the height of the label, using Graphics.MeasureString to calculate the equivalent area of the Label dim prefWidth as Integer = 100 dim estSize as SizeF = g.MeasureString(label.Text, label.Font) dim estHeight as Integer = (Integer)(estSize.Width * estSize.Height / prefWidth) but that yields the same result. Any ideas? I'm on .NET 2.0, unfortunately.

• How to override browser default download behavior for files?

  Lots of times we have to download files from the net. In IE we get to see the ugly download progress bar. In firefox we get to see a pop-up window opening etc. However, I have never seen this being over ridden in any manner. Until recently on the site *thesixtyone DOT com* If we get to download a song free and click on the ok link to start the download we get a pop up to select location in the default style of windows. • Browser extensions to re-render the page using an updated version of my CSS file, without reloading the page itself

  I want to learn Web UI design. (I know, I know. Being a programmer puts me at a disadvantage. But I want to try anyway.) Thus, I would like to "debug" my CSS files. Once of the biggest annoyances I have found is that I cannot test a change in my CSS files without reloading the whole page. Sometimes, the page is too big. Sometimes, a lot of elements were brought to the page after lots of clicks, because my pages rely too heavily on AJAX. Sometimes, I just hate hitting Command+R all the time. Is there any extension for any of the major browsers (preferably Safari and/or Chrome) that re-renders the page using an updated version of the CSS file, without reloading the whole page itself?
