  • Overlapping elements stop overlapping in IE7 on class change

    On this page http://zenchan.com/program/ When I rollover the right box 2nd from the top suddenly the overlapping (negative margin disappears). What's happening is that a 'hover' class is being added to shift the background sprite. The two yellow boxes are debugging: if the hover class is put their in advance there is no problem. So fundamentally the CSS is not a problem for IE7 but adding the class is. Any ideas what's causing this. I've tried adding haslayout to various elements but to little effect.

    If I have some xml like this: <mynode> <mysubnode> <mysubsubnode>hello world</mysubsubnode> some more text </mysubnode> </mynode> As you can see, mysubnode contains both a subnode and some text data. What I want to know is, is it possible to prevent this happening in a schema? I don't want nodes to contain subnodes and text, just subnodes or text. Is there an option in my xsd I can specify to force this? My program to that uses this xml is written in .NET, so I'll tag it as well incase there's anything of use in .net that I can utilise for this, though I'd much rather that the issue was fixed in the schema itself.     When a vote value is changed, the form POSTs the change, then refreshes the page. This is called on the top of the page upon load: if (isset($_POST['q'.$question_id])) { $user->updateQuestionVotes($question_id, $_POST['q'.$question_id]); } Why does it update every time I refresh after the first time? Do I need to unset it somehow?

  • Stop lazy-loading images?

    Here's the issue – I followed along with the Apple lazy-load image sample code to handle my graphical tables. It works great. However, my lazy-load image tables are being stacked within a navigation controller so that you can move in and out of menus. While all this works, I'm getting a persistent crash when I move into a table then move immediately back out of it using the "back" button. This appears to be a result of the network connections loading content not being closed properly, or calling back to their released delegates. Now, I've tried working through this and carefully setting all delegates to nil and calling close on all open network connections before releasing a menu. However, I'm still getting the error. Also – short posting my entire application code into this post, I can't really post a specific code snippet that illustrates this situation. I wonder if anyone has ideas for tasks that I may be missing? Do I need to do anything to close a network connection other than closing it and setting it to nil? Also, I'm new to debugging tools – can anyone suggest a good tool to use to watch network connections and see what's causing them to fail? Thanks!

    Recently I saw in my Webmaster tools that some random sites are linking to my site. Actually this is not an big issue. The issue comes when the pages that are linked are not real pages because of my httaccess file. This is the htaccess code that Im running: <pre> #Options +FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine on RewriteRule ^([^/\.]+)/?$ index.php?id=$1 [L] RewriteRule ^([0-9]+)/(.*)$ index.php?id=$1 [L] </pre> So the real URLs would be: mysite.com/folder/999/TITLE-OR-NAME But cecause I only check the 1st folder ($1) which is an I numberD, this htaccess file is allowing hackers linking to my site with random URLs like: mysite.com/folder/999/TITLE-OR-NAME1 mysite.com/folder/999/TITLE-OR-NAME2 mysite.com/folder/999/TITLE-OR-NAME3 mysite.com/folder/999/TITLE-OR-NAME4 mysite.com/folder/999/TITLE-OR-NAME5 The worst part comes when google tells me that I am duplicating content!!! Actually I am not duplicating content, the htaccess is duplicating it for me. And yes I know, Im a bad newbie programmer but Id really appreciate your help with this cause Im struggling to find a solution but it never.     I am using gnosis.xml.pickle to convert an object of my own class to xml. The object is initialized so that: self.logger = MyLogger() But when I do dump the object to a string I get an exception stating that the pickler encountered an unpickleable type . Is there a way to 'tag' the logger attribute so that pickler will know not to try and pickle that attribute?

    I am trying to use JavaScript to validate forms but if the form doesn't validate, I don't want the form to be sent to the "action" page. What have I missed here? The submit button: <a href="" onclick="return formSubmit(); return false" class="purplebutton">Signup</a> So what have I missed? How do I avoid this in the future?

  • Stop Entity Framework from updating edmx model with a column that isn't needed

    I have rowguids in all my tables to help with change tracking in all my tables. I don't want/need these tables in my edmx or my entities. However, I do still need to make changes to other things sometimes so everytime i go to update model from database in the edmx it adds all the rowguids in all my tables everytime and i have to manually delete each one. Is there a way to handle this from happening? Is there a way I can maybe edit the T4 to maybe ignore that 'rowguid' column? Database first Entity framework

    I have a fields_for tag, where I specify the prefix (lets say for some good reasons), and this is supposed to represent a one-to-one relationship. I am trying to represent a relationship widget has_many thingamagigs thingamagig has_one whatchamacallit The field_for code is: fields_for "widgt[thingamagigs_attributes][][whatchamacallit_attributes]", thingamagig.whatchamacallit do |x| which generates names (wrongly): widget[thingamagigs_attributes][][whatchamacallit_attributes][][value] The better solution would be t.fields_for :whatchamacallit do |x| where t = fields_for the thingamagig... However if I do that, the following names are generated widgt[thingamagigs_attributes][whatchamacallit_attributes][] which is completely wrong as all other fields for a thingamagig is... widgt[thingamagigs_attributes][][name] So in all cases I am screwed. The original field_for using a string cannot be used with accepts_nested_attributes_for :whatchamacallit since whatchamacallit is a singular relationship and an object is expected not an array. The second fields_for will simply not work because rails cannot parse the params object correctly. Is there a way to tell the first forms_for to not add the [] after [whatchamacallit_attributes] in all field names?

  • Sometimes my dropdowns/datepickers will stop functioning?

    Q: Where should I check to track this down? Issue: Opening a view model in my application sometimes makes dropdowns/datepickers nonfunctional. ie. dropdown won't drop and the datepicker calendar won't come up I suspect a binding issue but don't see one. Dropdowns have normal things like strings, numbers. One drop has a list of mini views. Datepickers are bound to nullable dates set in the constructor of the viewmodel. Note: These same things work in other viewmodels/views. I can paste code, I'm just not sure what code is relevant here.
