    Hi, In my app i have have a Cursor field and in the onStart() method of my Android Service I create it by fetching records from my database. When i look into my cursor in the onStart() method i find a number of records but when i try to use them in my trigger() method it has zero records. the field private Cursor c; in onStart() c = dbHelper.fetchAllRecords(); in trigger() c.getCount() returns null I didn't close the cursor earlier than in my onDestroy() method

    Hi everybody. This error has been covered before in other questions, however not for a Visual Studio package. Could not find endpoint element with name 'WCFname' and contract 'WCFcontract' in the ServiceModel client configuration section. I have a VS package project that needs to connect to a WCF service that provides some functionality. Everytime it just throws this error: Could not find endpoint element with name 'WSHttpBinding_IWCFSearchService' and contract 'WCFSearchServiceReference.IWCFSearchService' in the ServiceModel client configuration section. This might be because no configuration file was found for your application, or because no endpoint element matching this name could be found in the client element. My guess is that it's taking the configuration file for Visual Studio (since it is running VS experimental mode). So yeah...why isn't it recognizing the app.config file and how could I make the application to recognize it? Any help would be very welcomed as I have already tried to fix this for some time.   • msbuild TransformWebConfig task - doesn't work for App.configs?

    I have a windows service that will need to have the same kind of transformations that the web.configs would use, but VS 2010 doesn't seem to support that. I've tried manually adding the App.Release.Config files, and then using msbuil [PROJ] /T:TransformWebConfig /p:Configuration=Release but no transformation is performed. I got a TransformWebConfig folder createed in my obj subdirectory, but that's it. Is this thing hardcoded to only work with web.configs?

  • Azure storage: Uploaded files with size zero bytes

    When I upload an image file to a blob, the image is uploaded apparently successfully (no errors). When I go to cloud storage studio, the file is there, but with a size of 0 (zero) bytes. And no exceptions are thrown). And the really strange thing is that this works perfectly in other cases (uploading Power Points or even other images from the Worker role). The code that calls the SetContent method seems to be exactly the same and file seems to be correct since a new file with zero bytes is created at the correct location. Does any one have any suggestion please? I debugged this code dozens of times and I cannot see the problem. Any suggestions are welcome! Thanks

  • Asynchronous callback for network in Objective-C Iphone

    I am working with network request - response in Objective-C. There is something with asynchronous model that I don't understand. In summary, I have a view that will show my statuses from 2 social networks: Twitter and Facebook. When I clicked refresh, it will call a model manager. That model manager will call 2 service helpers to request for latest items. When 2 service helpers receive data, it will pass back to model manager and this model will add all data into a sorted array. What I don't understand here is that : when response from social networks come back, how many threads will handle the response. From my understanding about multithreading and networking (in Java), there must have 2 threads handle 2 responses and those 2 threads will execute the code to add the responses to the array. So, it can have race condition and the program can go wrong right? Is it the correct working model of iphone objective-C? Or they do it in a different way that it will never have race condition and we don't have to care about locking, synchronize? That means, for example, faceboook returns 10 items, twitter returns 10 items, will the output of count will ever be larger than 10? And if there is only one single thread, how can the thread finishes parsing 1 response and jump to the other response because, IMO, thread is only executed sequently, block of code by block of code

  • Please help with 'System.Data.DataRowView' does not contain a property with the name...

    My application works just fine until, in some unidentified conditions, it begins throwing this errors: When these errors start appearing, they appear in all over the application, no matter the code is built using ObjectDataSource or SqlDataSource. However, apparently, if the code uses some "classic", code-behind data-binding, that code does not throw errors (they do not show in the application event log), the page is displayed but it does not contain any data.... There are many cases that two (or more) different clients call the server at the same and the server tries to call the remote WCF from two different threads simultaneously.     Hi, I don't know if it's appropriate to ask for this but I really need to know what's the initial content of /var/www/vhosts/mydomain.com/conf/httpd.include on Godaaddy's VDS because the conf directory was accidentally deleted by somebody and now I cannot start Apache. We didn't purchase an assited service plan so Godaddy won't help me with this. So please, if you're using Godaddy's VDS plan, please help me with this. ** I also need to include in httpd.conf the lines needed for Plesk to work. Thanks a lot

    I am implementing a WCF service, with a Silverlight 3 client, which uses a PollingDuplexHttpBinding for communications. What are the alternatives for handling when a client closes their browser without disconnecting from the server first? I know that it will eventually throw a TimeoutException, which I can catch, but is there a better way of detecting this? Thanks.
