  • Examples of how to visualize a versioning system?

    My shop is trying to formalize the release management process for an OSS product we maintain. It's a sort of a web development framework/CMS kind of thing, as in it's a product that other projects are built on top of. This makes clear communication about the versioning system especially critical for developers that are using the tool. I'm hoping to find some examples of how best to graph this system so we can communicate it better internally and with outside developers. I know there are lots of standards and best practices around versioning, so I'm hoping this extends to some sort of visual vocabulary as well. As one example, there is a nifty graph at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Versioning#Software_Versioning_schemes. Are there any guides out there on how these sorts of things should be designed?

  • How to add a field from a 2nd form?

    Hi all. I'm modifying an existing Lotus view to include a field from another form. I first appended a new column and set it to the desired field. However, after I refreshed, the new column was blank even though I know it has data. I then updated the View Selection formula from: SELECT Form = "A" & StatusIndex < "06" to: SELECT (Form = "A"| Form = "B") & StatusIndex < "06" Still no luck. The view is refreshing successfully, but the new field is still blank. What else is there to add this new column to this view? This is my first time experimenting with Lotus, so if I seem to be missing some major concept, I probably am.

  • EXC_BAD_ACCESS when trying to release an ABRecordRef

    I've got the following class that is a wrapper around an ABPerson (ABRecordRef): @interface Recipient : NSObject { ABRecordRef person; } - (id)initWithPerson:(ABRecordRef)person; @end @implementation - (id)initWithPerson:(ABRecordRef)_person { if(self = [super init]) person = CFRetain(_person); return self; } - (void)dealloc { if(person) CFRelease(person); [super dealloc]; } @end I've left some of the methods out, but they aren't relevant to this question. Everything works fine, except I get an EXC_BAD_ACCESS on the if(person) CFRelease(person); line. Why does this happen? I'm not calling CFRelease or CFRetain at all anywhere else in my app.

  • Trying to work with a multi-value array in LotusScript and sort of stuck

    I have to find a way to store a series of variables - MonthYear (the key) and a counter. The purpose of this is to track the number of documents processed by Month & Year. I was thinking of a list but I am not sure how to save the data so that it is readable and able to be shown in a table at a later date. I thought about using a multi-dimensional array - someArray(1,0 to 1) and ReDim'ing it each time I start a new MonthYear and then save it back to a field on the document but am not sure how that is going to play out. Does anyone have an idea of how I can accomplish this? The first dimension will be the MonthYear (key) and the second will be a counter that is updated every time a new document is processed. The key will be based on a field on the document being processed. How can I make sure I am updating the right key/counter combination? How can I retrieve the existing counter from the field on the document, update the counter and then replace the value? I thought about just adding a new element (ReDim) every time a document is processed and than somehow adding up all the counters for each key and storing that in an array, but that just seems real messy. There has to be a good way to do this. Any and all ideas will be greatly appreciated

Please note that the images changes for each row and I am creating the controller using lazy initialization that is I create or alloc it whenever I need it. I saw on internet many people facing the same issue, but very rare good solutions. I have multiple views using the same way and I see almost memory raised to 4MB within 20-25 view transitions. What is the good solution to resolve this issue. tnx.

  • Silverlight WinDg Memory Release Issue

    Hi, I have used WinDbg succesfully on a number of occasions to track down and fix memory leaks (or more accurately the CLRs inability to garbage collect a released object), but am stuck with one particular control. The control is displayed within a child window and when the window is closed a reference to the control remains and cannot be garbage collected. I have resolved what I believe to be the majority of the issues that could have caused the leak, but the !gcroot of the affected object is not clear (to me at least) as to what is still holding on to this object.   • How to import data from a Lotus private view into Access?

    I'm experimenting with Lotus private views for the first time and I finally made a private view that (more or less) has the data I want. I just need to get it into MS Access. If this was a standard shared view, I'd just fire up the ODBC administrator, and make a DSN to the database using the NotesSQL driver. Been there, done that. But you can't get to private views that way. So, how do I import the data from my private view into Access? (Also, I'm not one of the IT gurus in our company, so I can't just make a view and share it, even if it's hidden)

    My android application get restarted when I take the application from home screen, but this not a consistent. Some time it works perfectly (resume with the last visited activity). My application contains a splash screen activity and 5 activities in tab layout. Usage Start application After splash screen the application shows one of the activity in tab Press home button Try to invoke application from home screen Application gets restarted, it is not happening always. I am working on actual device.   • AppDomain.Unload doesn't release the assembly I loaded up with Reflection

    Hi All, I am struggling with an issue while loading an assembly up in a temporary AppDomain to read its GetUsedReferences property. Once I do that, I call AppDomain.Unload(tempDomain) and then I try to clean up my mess by deleting the files. That fails because the file is locked. I Unloaded the temporary domain though! Any thoughts or suggestions would be greately appreciated.   • How do you keep track of what you have released in production?

    Tipically a deploy in production does not involve just a mere source code update (build) but requires a lot of other important tasks like for example: Db scripts (tables, query..) Configuration files (differents from test\production) Batch to schedule Executables to move to the correct path Etc. etc. In our company we just send an email to a "Release email address" describing the tasks in order, which changeset need to be published (TFS), which SP need to be updated, db scripts and so on. I believe there's not a magic tool that does these tasks automagically in order, rollback included; but probably there's something better than email that helps to keep track of releases in production. Do you have any tools to suggest or practices to share?

  • Release edit in QTableWidget Cell

    Basically I am trying to give the enter key the same functionality as the return key has when editing a cell in a qtablewidget. If editing a cell and enter is pressed I want it to jump out of editing that cell just like return does. It feels like I've literally tried everything. I've even tried passing a return press event to qcoreapplication. It seems like if your editing a cell and you press a key to trigger an action it wont happen. That seems to be what the problem is and I'm not sure how to get around that. I've been setting up all of my keyboard shortcuts for this program as actions because it seems easier to set up. Is there another way to do this that would allow the key event to happen when editing a cell? Can anyone help out with this? Thank you in advance. Tried this.     i want to add a simple image into an email which i want to send from a lotus agent. Whatever i tried i get an empty image area (browser-no-image icon) in the email i receive. I also have checked "Allow restricted operations" in my agent. I would prefer it if there is a solution to use an image from my resources and not an external link. Any solutions?

  • db2 jdbc driver does not release table locks

    situation: We have a web service running on tomcat accessing DB2 database on AS400, we are using JTOPEN drivers for JNDI connections handled by tomcat. For handling transactions and access to database we are using Spring. For each select system takes JDBC connection from JNDI (i.e. from connection pool), does selection, and in the end it closes ResultSet, Statement and releases Connection in that order. That passes fine, shared lock on table dissappears. When we want to do update the same way as we did with select (exception on ResultSet object, we don't have one in such situation), after releasing Connection to JNDI lock on table stays. If we put maxIdle=0 for number of connections in JNDI configuration, this problem disappears, but this degrades performances, we have cca 100 users online on that service, we need few connections to be alive in pool. What do you suggest?

    I have defined function, which returns multidimensional array. allocation for rows arr = (char **)malloc(size); allocation for columns (in loop) arr[i] = (char *)malloc(v); and returning type is char** Everything works fine, except freeing the memory. If I call free(arr[i]) and/or free(arr) on array returned by function, it crashes.
