  I need to create a MySQL query that generates 4 rows for each row in the table it references. I need some of the information in those rows to repeat and some to be different. In the table each row stands for one day. I need to break the day up in 6 hour increments, hence the four rows for each entry. I need to create one column which for each day will have '12AM', '6AM', '12PM', and '6PM' values and another column will have the corresponding numeric values calculated for those entries. Thanks a lot in advance and I will really appreciate any help on this.

  In the left navigation i have a series of check boxes and a grid view in the page body.Grid view results changes based on the check box selection,whenever i click on the links in grid view it goes to the second page and there is a link on the page which takes me back to the first page,but the check box selected value is maintained for the first time only and if we repeat the same process for the second time and i see that the first time selection of the check box is maintained.Here the grid view is placed in update panel and the check box in the left is called using .... AsyncPostBackTrigger ControlID="cphLeftNavigation". I've tried removing the above code referring the cphLeftNavigation and i see the results are coming up correctly and the last selected check box value is being maintained correctly and i want the same functionality to be implemented with/without update panel. Can anyone let me know,what exactly should i change to implement the above mentioned functionality.

• Texture repeats even with GL_CLAMP_TO_EDGE set [FIXED]

  Hi, i'm trying to put a translucing texture on a face which uses points 1 to 4 (don't mind the numbers) on the following screenshot Sadly as you can see the texture repeats herself in both dimensions, I tried to switch the TEXTURE_WRAP_S from REPEAT to CLAMP_to_EDGE but it doesn't change anything.   to simplify, I got a database of registered users, I want to count how many emails there are for each email domain name (note I do not know all domain names) for example, Users table- id | email ------------------ 1 | [email protected] 2 | [email protected]<--unknown to me 3 | [email protected]<--unknown to me 4 | [email protected] 5 | [email protected]<--unknown to me 6 | [email protected] 7 | [email protected] 8 | [email protected] ( note: I want to count each email without specifying which email exactly ) so the result I want is suffix | count hotmail.com | 3 somesite.aaa | 2 unknownsite.aaa| 1 yahoo.com | 2 again, I stress this, I do not know unknownsite.aaa nor can i mention it in a statement because it is unknown to me, i hope I am clear. So essentially I want to make a statistic of what my website users use as an email host website. but like I said and I will repeat the third time, I do not know every mailhost that exists. I am going to investigate this more, I have a feeling this is something mysql cannot handle.

  Given a database that has numerous repeating columns used for auditing and versioning, what is the best way to model it using NHibernate, without having to repeat each of the columns in each of the classes in the domain model? Every table in the database repeats these same nine columns, the names and types are identical and I don't want to replicate it in the domain model. I have read the docs and I saw the section on inheritance mapping but I couldn't see how to make it work in this scenario. This seems like a common scenario because nearly every database I've work on has had the four common audit columns (CreatedBy, CreateDate, UpdatedBy, UpdateDate) in nearly every table. This database is no different except that it introduces another five columns which are common to every table.

  Hi, Is it possible to have both background-image and background gradient color applied together in 1 div tag? (CSS3 and above is ok) I have the below code, the gradient background color does show up, but the background-image doesn't.   So I'm comfortable with the basic concept of CQS, where you might have a command that writes to one database, and that updates the query database that you read from. However, consider the scenario where you are entering data, and want to prevent duplicates. Using new employee data entry an employee register as an example, working through a pile of application forms to key in the new employees' details: Take top sheet. Key in employee name and unique payroll number to UI. Submit. Put paper in "completed pile". Repeat. How would you now prevent the user from keying in the same payroll number again, say for instance if they get distracted and can't remember whether they've keyed one in already and the "message" hasn't got all the way back to the query db for the user to search?

• Windows XP Rejecting Digital Signature

  I don't want to see unsigned driver warnings while installing a driver, so I'm trying to digitally sign a driver using signtool, inf2cat, and a Software Publishing Certificate. Vista x64 requires the drivers to be digitally signed or it flat out rejects them, but I have managed to get Vista x64 to accept the driver, so I know I'm doing the process correctly. However, I repeat the process for the Windows XP x86 driver. inf2cat and signtool both return successful results, signtool verifies the digital signatures, right-click - properties on the file verifies the digital signature too. However, when I go to load the driver in Windows XP, it still prompts me with an unsigned driver warning. Why does XP consider the file unsigned, but Vista does not?

• Background image fixed with vertical scroll bar in IE

  I have a gradient background image in my web application, it goes from dark at the top to light at the bottom. In Firefox, this image is handled properly, where upon scrolling vertically downwards on the page, the dark top section disappears. However, when I started testing in IE (I'm using IE8) the background image stays fixed behind the screen as you vertically scroll, meaning the dark top section of the background image is always rendered at the top of the IE view. I've set the background tag to have scroll defined, which from all I can tell should solve the problem, but IE is not happy. background: #470077 url( images/abcd.jpg ) repeat-x scroll; I made sure to be clearing the data in IE in case it was caching the old style before I added scroll. • wordpress path url in js script file

  I added custom script wp_enqueue_script('functions', get_bloginfo('template_url') . '/js/functions.js', 'search', null, false); works great, except in the functions.js i have Reset.style.background = "url('../images/searchfield_clear.png') no-repeat top left"; now this used to work before, until changed to pretty permalinks and .htaccess the folder hierarchy is like: themename/js themename/images (the images and js folder are in themename folder) i tried ../images - ./image - /images normally it should go back 1 level where-ever the js file is located.... i dont want to use full path is there a other way that wordpress can recognize in the javascript file to have the correct path? currently i am just confused what i am doing wrong

• What happens to a SIGINT (^C) when sent to a perl script containing children?

  I have a Perl script that forks. Each fork runs an external program, parses the output, and converts the output to a Storable file. The Storable files are then read in by the parent and the total data from each of the children are analyzed before proceeding onto a repeat of the previous fork or else the parent stops. What exactly happens when I issue a ^C while some of the children are still running the external program? The parent perl script was called in the foreground and, I presume, remained in the foreground despite the forking. Is the SIGINT passed to all children, that is, the parent, the parent's children, and the external program called by the children??

• Rails Model has_many with multiple foreign_keys

  Relatively new to rails and trying to model a very simple family "tree" with a single Person model that has a name, gender, father_id and mother_id (2 parents). Below is basically what I want to do, but obviously I can't repeat the :children in a has_many (the first gets overwritten). class Person < ActiveRecord::Base belongs_to :father, :class_name => 'Person' belongs_to :mother, :class_name => 'Person' has_many :children, :class_name => 'Person', :foreign_key => 'mother_id' has_many :children, :class_name => 'Person', :foreign_key => 'father_id' end Is there a simple way to use has_many with 2 foreign keys, or maybe change the foreign key based on the object's gender? Or is there another/better way altogether? Thanks!

• An image cropper: How to prevent the default drag n' drop action?

  I am developing an image cropper and would like to ask you the following question: In order to prevent the default drag n' drop action when you press the left button on an image and keeping it pressed try to move the mouse, wouldn't it be cross-browser if to just use the picture as a background to a div box? • mobile device - different background - media query not working

  Live site. This is my first attempt at utilizing a different CSS for mobile devices vs. regular screens. To do this, I'm using- @media only screen and (min-device-width : 320px) and (max-device-width : 480px) { background: url('img/background.jpg') no-repeat center center fixed; background-size: cover; height: 100%; } However, it doesn't seem to be working (I can only test on iPhones). Any ideas as to why that may be? I've also tried @media all to no avail.

• jQuery changing css on navigation when div # scrolls into view

  I'm looking to recreate the effect used on this site: http://www.brizk.com/ The site uses one large page that scrolls down. As you scroll down and pass different sections the menu navigation on the left changes css class to "current" as the corresponding div comes into view. I presume this can be done with jQuery using $(window).height(); I'm fairly new to jQuery and what I want to write is something like this (in laymans terms): Get height of browser window – if div#content1 is 100px from top and/or 200px from bottom change menu a#link1 to '.current' – else remove .current from all menu a links ... and repeat for 4 different content divs. Can anyone point me in the right direction..?   I am using OpenCV to compress binary images from a camera: vector<int> p; p.push_back(CV_IMWRITE_JPEG_QUALITY); p.push_back(75); // JPG quality vector<unsigned char> jpegBuf; cv::imencode(".jpg", fIplImageHeader, jpegBuf, p); The code above compresses a binary RGB image stored in fIplImageHeader to a JPEG image. For a 640*480 image it takes about 0.25 seconds to execute the five lines above. Is there any way I could make it faster? I really need to repeat the compression more than 4 times a second.

(my rotator logic here) } } }); The problem is that I'm trying to make a function that includes stopping that timer: function signUp() { ... (timer stop code here) } The documentation stats that timer.stop() does that, but however I format it, I get errors about it not being declared. I have tried every variation I can think of, such as: timer.stop(); jQuery.timer.stop(); $(document).timer.stop(); jQuery.timerDelayCall({ callback: function(timer) { timer.stop() } }); I'm sure I'm missing something simple - I come from a PHP background yet I'm new to javascript - but can't see what it is exactly. • CSS: Centering a floated block level element in IE6 (It almost works)

  I have a block level element which I am centering on the page. I have gotten it to work for all other browsers except IE6 where it ALMOST works. http://tinyurl.com/28sh9eq If I view the page in IE6 the red box is slightly off center of the pink one in IE. If I then resize the browser window it snaps into place where I want it. Uhhhhh.... yea.... what gives? How come resizing the window makes it work?   So most of us know how to access an outer class from an inner class. Searches with those words give oodles of answered questions on that topic. But what I want to know is why the syntax is the way it is. Example: public class A { private class B { public void c() {A.this.d();} } public void d() {System.out.println("You've called d()! Go, you!");} } Why is it A.this.d()? It looks like this is a static field of class A, but... * am confused * Forgive me if this is a repeat; like I said, searches with those words give how-answers.
