• Does Sublime's "minimap" improve productivity?

  I'm a pretty big fan of Sublime. One of my favorite features is the ability to scroll through your file by using the compressed image of your text on the upper right hand corner (minimap). My gut feeling is this does positive things for productivity: Does having this minimap to scroll through actually improve productivity? P.S. - Side question: Did Sublime invent this idea, or did they take it from another text editor?

  I need to be able to check for a pattern with | in them. For example an expression like d*|*t should return true for a string like "dtest|test". I'm no regular expression hero so I just tried a couple of things, like: Regex Pattern = new Regex("s*\|*d"); //unable to build because of single backslash Regex Pattern = new Regex("s*|*d"); //argument exception error Regex Pattern = new Regex(@"s*\|*d"); //returns true when I use "dtest" as input, so incorrect Regex Pattern = new Regex(@"s*|*d"); //argument exception error Regex Pattern = new Regex("s*\\|*d"); //returns true when I use "dtest" as input, so incorrect Regex Pattern = new Regex("s*" + "\\|" + "*d"); //returns true when I use "dtest" as input, so incorrect Regex Pattern = new Regex(@"s*\\|*d"); //argument exception error I'm a bit out of options, what should I then use? • Ajax.BeginForm is submitting disabled form elements

  Using MVC3 and Ajax.BeginForm I surprisingly discovered that mvc ajax forms submits elements with the attribute disabled="disabled". I have tested both select and text inputs. I was suprised because they should not be submited and they will not when using Html.BeginForm. Is there some hidden option or a workaround for this? • Substring and its reverse in a string

  My professor was talking about this in a Dynamic programming class and asked us to think over it. She gave us some examples as well. Given a string, we were to find the longest continuous subsequence whose reverse is also a subsequence present in the given string. Example: INPUT: pqrstuvtsrv OUTPUT: i=3, k=2 rst -> tsr (rst found first at i=3 and for 2 more positions) INPUT: mpqrsrqp OUTPUT: i=2, k=6 pqrsrqp in reverse INPUT: mmpqssss OUTPUT: i=5, k=3 I thought of putting the string and its reverse into 2 different arrays and comparing character by character. But I'm sure this is not the best way to do it. Any suggestions as to what could be the most efficient ?

  Consider a JavaScript method that needs to check whether a given string is in all uppercase letters. The input strings are people's names. • Regex Pattern for ignoring a custom escape character

  I am trying to find a suitable regex for matching pair of custom characters in an input string. These custom characters are replaced by their corresponding html tags. For e.g. The input string can have underscores in pairs to indicate words in bold. Hence, _Name_ outputs as <b>Name</b> However if there is a genuine underscore in the string, it cannot be replaced by "bold" tags and has to be ignored. The genuine underscore has to be preceded by / (I couldn't find a better character, it could be one more underscore or hyphen or whatever). Any single or paired occurrance of this genuine underscore has to be ignored by regex. So far I could come up with this regex: var pattern = @"(?!/)_(.*?)(?!/)_"; But it fails in below input string: _Tom_Katy/_Richard/_/_Stephan_and many users It outputs as <b>Tom</b>Katy/<b>Richard/_/</b>Stephan_and many users Many Thanks in Advance, Pr

  I want to use regular expression same way as string.Format. I do not want that. I want to use pattern for matching but also for creating strings same way as with string format, replacing named group "ID" with value. Is that possible? I'm looking for something like: string pattern = "^(?<PREFIX>abc_)(?<ID>[0-9])+(?<POSTFIX>_def)$"; string result = ReplaceWithFormat(pattern, "ID", 999); Result will contain "abc_999_def".   Due to a bad update to 11.04 i had to completely reinstall Ubuntu, now i got everything pretty much the way it was before, except for plymouth.I've tried every script i found, every turorial i've found, i've installed Plymouth Managaer, i've installed a plymouth theme that worked before...and still, just plain white text, if it feels like showing me something, 'cause at times i don't even get to see the text mode, so, is there anything i can do witthout removing the ATI driver?, can i get rid of plymouth if it's not going to properly work?, are there an alternatives to plymouth?

• Can the behaviour of new HTML5 form types be overridden?

  I was wondering if anyone knew if it were possible to override the default behaviour of browsers that support the new HTML input types such as type="email" and type="date"? I appreciate that I could test if a browser supports an input type and provide a fallback for those browsers that don't, but what I want to know is is there any way to prevent that default behaviour from happening in browsers that do support it? For instance, if in Opera I want to use the date input type, but I don't want Opera to display the native datepicker (i.e. I want to replace it with my own custom one) is that possible? Are there any DOM events triggered like onDatePickerShow that one can hook into? I don't believe that this is possible, but if anyone knows for sure one way or the other I would love to hear from you.

So I when I click on some of the buttons I have to collect the data from the input fields and do something with the data. If I click BUTTON1 I collect data from inputField1 inputField2 inputField3 BUTTON2 inputField4 inputField5, etc. Probably I should create the input fields programmatically and group them in forms.   I am doing stock market prediction using ANNs in c#.net. I am using NeuronDotNet for the neural part. I have to give eight inputs to the network, with a hidden layer consisting 8 nodes and a single node output layer. Can anybody please give me some coding ideas for this???? This project was not a AI course assignment, but my major project. I have studied about the stocks and found various factors that affected the future value of stock of a company. Now I have to use these factors as input to the neural network. I am not getting into how to implement these factors in the neural network. I have just decided to use those eight factors as eight nodes in the input layer but things are going complex. My concern is to use these factors as input and train the neural network for output as next day's stock value. What major things should I have to care about??

• Accessing and binding events to an ASP.NET Grid view using Jquery

  I have an ASP page which displays a text box when it loads. It takes an input number, send it to the server through post back, and then displays some record in a grid view. After a number is input into the box, the server fetches some data from a database and add records to the grid view. It also contains a link column, whose URL is set to "#", so that the page isn't redirected when it is clicked. Now I want to bind a jquery "click" event to that link. How can I do that ? I have tried that to do myself but failed, because it is not available when the DOM is loaded (since it only contains rows when a number is input through the box), and is being modified through ASP.NET Ajax post back.

There are two update panels in my html code in first update panel there is textbox hello world and another update panel there is a button called btnHelloWorld. Now I want to update textbox text in button click event without post back. But in normal scenario It will not update the textbox text as both are in different update panel. • OpenCV in Python can't scan through pixels

  Hi everyone, I'm stuck with a problem of the python wrapper for OpenCv. I have this function that returns 1 if the number of black pixels is greater than treshold def checkBlackPixels( img, threshold ): width = img.width height = img.height nchannels = img.nChannels step = img.widthStep dimtot = width * height data = img.imageData black = 0 for i in range( 0, height ): for j in range( 0, width ): r = data[i*step + j*nchannels + 0] g = data[i*step + j*nchannels + 1] b = data[i*step + j*nchannels + 2] if r == 0 and g == 0 and b == 0: black = black + 1 if black >= threshold * dimtot: return 1 else: return 0 The loop (scan each pixel of a given image) works good when the input is an RGB image...but if the input is a single channel image I get this error: for j in range( width ): TypeError: Nested sequences should have 2 or 3 dimensions The input single channel image (called 'rg' in the next example) is taken from an RGB image called 'src' processed with cvSplit and then cvAbsDiff cvSplit( src, r, g, b, 'NULL' ) rg = cvCreateImage( cvGetSize(src), src.depth, 1 ) # R - G cvAbsDiff( r, g, rg ) I've also already noticed that the problem comes from the difference image got from cvSplit...   I have an image uploader that uses the imgur.com API and jQuery's .ajax() function to upload images to their servers. However, if I browse for an image using the <input type="file"/> element of the form, it will only be successful in uploading an image if the image file is found in the same directory as the page.php file that the form is found in (shown below). • SAP Shortcut file - How to redirect to specific transaction screen in SAP?

  Problem : How to redirect the user to a specific executed transaction screen in SAP? Generated the SAP shortcut and able to redirect the user to specific transaction screen. It is also possible to prefill the required input parameters. The corresponding line in the shortcut is- Command=AB12 RIWO00-input1=200001212; where AB12 is the trasaction, and input1 is the input parameter. This will open that SAP screen, with AB12 transaction and the input parameter would be filled with values. But this mandates the user to clicks on enter explicitly/click on execute button explicitly after opening through the shortcut file. Is it possible to include that enter also in the shortcut file? • java.util.regex.* Recursive matching

  Hi Guys, I have been using the java.util.regex.* classes for Regular Expression in Java and all good so far. But today I have a different requirement. For example consider the pattern to be "aabb". Now if the input String is aa it will definitely not match, however there is still possibility that if I append bb it becomes aabb and it matches. However if I would have started with cc, no matter what I append it will never match. I have explored the Pattern and Matcher class but didn't find any way of achieving this. The input will come from user and system have to wait till pattern matches or it will never match irrespective of any input further. Any clue? Thanks.

SELECT * FROM dbo.table1 WHERE dbo.RegexMatch(column1, '[0-9][A-Z]') = 1 -- match entries in col1 like 1A, 2B etc... I'm just thinking it would be nice to reformulate that query so it could be called like SELECT * FROM dbo.table1 WHERE column1 REGEXLIKE '[0-9][A-Z]' Is it possible to create new comparison operators using CLR Code. (I'm guessing from my brief glance around the web that the answer is NO, but no harm asking)

  I'm running vmware fusion 5 under OSx Mountain Lion. My virtual machine is running Ubuntu 12.04. I have two fastidious shortcuts which I would like to disable: When I press the command key Ubuntu opens the dash and shows under the text field a set of icons. When I press the option+` keys (which I use fot making accented letters) Ubuntu opens the dash without showing the icons under the text field. How can I disable or block these shortcuts?
