  • Re-Centering JQuery Tooltips when resizing the window

    I have written a function that positions a tooltip just above a textbox. The function takes two arguments: textBoxId - The ID of the textbox above which the tooltip will appear. Example: "#textBoxA" toolTipId - The ID of the tooltip which will appear above the textbox. I've tried writing some code to fix the problem by calling the positionTooltip() function when the window is resized but for some reason the tooltips do not get repositioned as they did when the page loaded: var _resize_timer = null; $(window).resize(function() { if (_resize_timer) {clearTimeout(_resize_timer);} _resize_timer = setTimeout(function(){ positionTooltip('#textBoxA', ('#toolTipA')); }, 1000); }); I'm really at a loss here as to why it doesn't reposition the tooltip correctly as it did when the page was initially loaded after a resize.

I'm trying to change CSS values inside the textarea replacement (the iFrame where the text gets written) - but I just can't seem to figure out how. Do I have to create a new style sheet to apply to the iFrame? Specifically, I want to change the iframe's :active and font: css settings. Thanks, Walker

  • ASP.NET MVC on GoDaddy Not Working (Not Primary Domain Deployment)

    I am trying to get ASP.NET MVC working on GoDaddy and I'm not having much luck. I have read the post on SO that covers the subject, but I must have a slightly different configuration or must be missing somehting along the way because the main MVC page comes up, but all links seem to fail and no amount of tweaking the URLs seems to get it to work. A little back ground. I have a single hosting plan with many domains pointed to sub folders of the main domain. Basic ASP.NET web forms pages work just fine, but of course I wanted to try and host a sample MVC site in one of these non-primary domains. You can go to the URL here. As you can see this first page comes up, but if you click on Home or About it doesn't work. Clicking on Home creates this link "http://www.jprescottsanders.com/jps/" and clicking on about creates this link "http://www.jprescottsanders.com/jps/Home/About". As you can see JPS sneaks in there, this of course is the sub folder that i place my web app files in. I would like to know if this is a MVC related issue or a GoDaddy issue. I suspect that MVC may want to sit in the root directory of the site, and when it puts the "jps" into the URLs it breaks the routing mechanisms (but this is conjecture). I know Dan said this was possible so I'm hoping he sees this and helps me get to the bottom of this deployment strategy for MVC.

  • Got a malware on my hosting provider which infect JavaScript files .. how do I find the entry point?

    This morning some sites which are hosted on the server as me started triggering malware alerts and started to redirect traffic to external sites. I've found out that a line of packed javascript was added to many js files across the server. What the script does is pretty simple, but what I would like to know is if this malware is well known and how it infect servers and propagate. During our review of your application we found it is using private APIs, which is in violation of the iPhone Developer Program License Agreement section 3.3.1; "3.3.1 Applications may only use Documented APIs in the manner prescribed by Apple and must not use or call any private APIs." While your application has not been rejected, it would be appropriate to resolve this issue in your next update.   • SubSonic 3.0 Simple Repository Adding a DateTime Property To An Object

    I am trying out SubSonic to see if it is viable to use on production projects. I seem to have stumbled upon an issue whith regards to updating the database with default values (String and DateTime) when a new column is created. If a new property of DateTime or String is added to an object. public class Bug { public int BugId { get; set; } public string Title { get; set; } public string Overview { get; set; } public DateTime TrackedDate { get; set; } public DateTime RemovedDate { get; set; } } When the code to add that type of object to the database is run var repository = new SimpleRepository(SimpleRepositoryOptions.RunMigrations); repository.Add(new Bug() { Title = "A Bug", Overview = "An Overview", TrackedDate = DateTime.Now }); it creates the following sql: UPDATE Bugs SET RemovedDate=''01/01/1900 00:00:00'' For some reason it is adding double 2 single quotes to each end of the string or DateTime. This is causing the following error: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException - Incorrect syntax near '01' I am connecting to SQL Server 2005 Any help would be appreicated as apart from this issue i am finding SubSonic to be a great product.     Introduction I have a ListView and want to format only the second column. I was checking it with the Coded UI Test Builder and the property is empty. The Text and the Foreground property are being set correctly. Question Does anyone know why AutomationProperties.Name is not being set? The latter would look like this: somePermissions.read(true).write(false).execute(true) If I look at these methods separately I would expect that read reads something, but on the other hand it is closer to the intention to have something like named paramaters like in Scala: Permission(read=true, write=false, execute=true)

    I haven't been able to find any documentation on how to configure Hibernate's logging using the XML style configuration file for Log4j. Is this even possible or do I have use a properties style configuration file to control Hibernate's logging? If anyone has any information or links to documentation it would appreciated. Thats the weird part. Out of the 100 times I've logged in and out - I've experienced this problem 5-6 times and 2 of my beta test users have reported the same issue. So when it works- if u click the logout link - u get the facebook popup saying - you being logged out - when it does'nt work - absolutely nothing happens - the page does not refresh - it just sits on that page doing nothing.   • DAL Layer : EF 4.0 or Normal Data access layer with Stored Procedure

    Hello Experts, Application : I am working on one mid-large size application which will be used as a product, we need to decide on our DAL layer. Application UI is in Silverlight and DAL layer is going to be behind service layer. We are also moving ahead with domain model, so our DB tables and domain classes are not having same structure. So patterns like Data Mapper and Repository will definitely come into picture. I need to design DAL Layer considering below mentioned factors in priority manner Speed of Development with above average performance Maintenance Future support and stability of the technology Performance Limitation : 1) As we need to strictly go ahead with microsoft, we can not use NHibernate or any other ORM except EF 4.0 2) We can use any code generation tool (Should be Open source or very cheap) but it should only generate code in .Net, so there would not be any licensing issue on per copy basis. Questions I read so many articles about EF 4.0, on outset it looks like that it is still lacking in features from NHibernate but it is considerably better then EF 1.0 So, Do you people feel that we should go ahead with EF 4.0 or we should stick to ADO .Net and use any code geneartion tool like code smith or any other you feel best Also i need to answer questions like what time it will take to port application from EF 4.0 to ADO .Net if in future we stuck up with EF 4.0 for some features or we are having serious performance issue. In reverse case if we go ahead and choose ADO .Net then what time it will take to swith to EF 4.0 Lastly..as i was going through the article i found the code only approach (with POCO classes) seems to be best suited for our requirement as switching is really easy from one technology to other. Please share your thoughts on the same and please guide on the above questions

  • Disable proxy for entire application?

    Ever since upgrading to Visual Studio 2010, I'm running into an issue where the first web request of any type (WebRequest, WebClient, etc.) hangs for about 20 seconds before completing. Subsequent calls work quickly. I've narrowed down the problem to a proxy issue. If I manually disable proxy settings, I don't experience this delay: Dim wrq As WebRequest = WebRequest.Create(Url) wrq.Proxy = Nothing What's strange is that there are no proxy settings enabled on this machine in Internet Options. What I'm wondering is if there is a way to disable proxy settings for my entire project in one shot without explicitly disabling as above for every web object. The main reason I want to be able to do this is that I'm trying to use an API (http://code.google.com/p/google-api-for-dotnet/) which uses web requests, but does not provide any way to manually disable proxy settings. I have found some information suggesting that I need to add some proxy information to the app.config file, but I get errors building my program if I make an edits to that file. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

  • Possible to do rounded corners in custom Progressbar progressDrawable?

    I have a progress bar that is supposed to look like the attached image: And I've made it a long way. I'm very close the only part that isn't working is the rounded corners for the progressDrawable. Here is what mine looks like. (Notice, circled in red, that the fill inside the white outline does not have rounded corners): So, I've found a couple of ways to make this work when the progress bar is colored in with a shape, gradient, or color. BUT, I can't get it with an image as the progressDrawable.
