  • Looking for a filtered dropdown list for ASP.NET.

    I have some DropDownList controls where the list is very large, so I would like to have a means for the user to filter the list, either based on other fields, e.g. region, or on the first letters typed in a textbox. How can I achieve this in ASP.NET? Is the an open source control out there that will help me?

  • ASP.net Associate session with client/request based on ip

    In one web page we use a flash upload control but becouse a flash bug in the upload event the session is lost as its posted back with a new session. We have tought of using a table with ip and old session id or a query string with the old session id in order to reassing it in the uploaded event... Knowing the old session id how can i reassign it to the client? (In C#)

    Hi Guys, hows it going? I'm in my first time with DDD, so I'm begginer! So, let's take it's very simple :D I developed an application using asp.net mvc 2 , ddd and nhibernate. I have a domain model in a class library, my repositories in another class library, and an asp.net mvc 2 application. My Repository base class, I have a construct that I inject and dependency (my unique ISessionFactory object started in global.asax), the code is: public class Repository<T> : IRepository<T> where T : Entidade { protected ISessionFactory SessionFactory { get; private set; } protected ISession Session { get { return SessionFactory.GetCurrentSession(); } } protected Repository(ISessionFactory sessionFactory) { SessionFactory = sessionFactory; } public void Save(T entity) { Session.SaveOrUpdate(entity); } public void Delete(T entity) { Session.Delete(entity); } public T Get(long key) { return Session.Get<T>(key); } public IList<T> FindAll() { return Session.CreateCriteria(typeof(T)).SetCacheable(true).List<T>(); } } And After I have the spefic repositories, like this: public class DocumentRepository : Repository<Domain.Document>, IDocumentRepository { // constructor public DocumentRepository (ISessionFactory sessionFactory) : base(sessionFactory) { } public IList<Domain.Document> GetByType(int idType) { var result = Session.CreateQuery("from Document d where d.Type.Id = :IdType") .SetParameter("IdType", idType) .List<Domain.Document>(); return result; } } there is not control of transaction in this code, and it's working fine, but, I would like to make something to control this repositories in my controller of asp.net mvc, something simple, like this: using (var tx = /* what can I put here ? */) { try { _repositoryA.Save(objA); _repositoryB.Save(objB); _repositotyC.Delete(objC); /* ... others tasks ... */ tx.Commit(); } catch { tx.RollBack(); } } I've heared about NHibernateUnitOfWork, but i don't know :(, How Can I configure NHibernateUnitOfWork to work with my repositories ?     Hello All! Could someone please explain what the difference is between using the ISupportInitialize interface methods (BeginInit/EndInit) and using SuspendLayout/ResumeLayout? Is ISupportInitialize ONLY used during construction/"initial" initialization... or can it be used later when you want to add new child controls to an existing parent control? However i cant call MouseDoubleClick, only add/remove events to the chain. How do i call MouseDoubleClick/OnMouseDoubleClick? ATM i workaround the problem since i know the objects MouseDoubleClick function and i pass in the parameters myself calling that specific function. So say for instance that I want something to happen when a visibility of a div changes.     Hi, I just noticed that if I have an identity column in a table, when I insert new rows SQL Server 2008 is automatically filling up the sequence if there are discontinuity. I mean, if in my identity column I have 1,2,5,6 if I insert other two rows in the table the system puts automatically 3,7 in the identity column. Do you know how to control this behavior? THANKS

The Report Works fine when I press the "Run Report" Button but I want also to avoid that annoying message that appears when the page loads.     In what circumstances would updating a UI control from a non-UI thread could cause the processes' handles to continually increase, when using a delegate and .InvokeRequired?     I'm having an issue with the treeview control from the silverlight 4 toolkit. I can't get it to view to display my data correctly, the toplevel items are shown but the childnodes are nowhere to be seen. More info: I have a wcf service that delivers a list of Categories with nested subcategories to my viewmodel (I made sure to explicitly include my subcategory data).
