  I have read that creating a namespace for JavaScript projects helps to reduce conflicts with other libraries. I have some code with a lot of different types of objects for which I have defined constructor functions. Is it good practice to put these inside the namespace as well? • UIView animations on a path not linear

  I have an iOS application that I want to animate a falling leaf (or several). I have my leaf image in an ImageView and I've figured out a simple animation from the documentation: [UIView animateWithDuration:4.0f delay:0 options:UIViewAnimationTransitionFlipFromLeft animations:^(void) { leaf1ImageView.frame = CGRectMake(320, 480, leaf1ImageView.frame.size.width,leaf1ImageView.frame.size.height); } completion:NULL]; This will make the leaf go from its starting position to the bottom right corner in a straight line. How would I animate this to follow a path or curve like a parabola or sinusoid and maybe even rotate the image or view? Would this be done in the animations block? Thanks in advance!

• Issue with css float -- Hindering IE6 from putting div in next line

  Hi, I've got an issue with floating divs in IE6. There's one navigation div on the left and one content div for the rest of the page. They've got the following css values: #navigation { float: left; width: 185px; padding-left: 5px; overflow: auto; height: 100%; } #content { overflow: auto; height: 100%; } In Firefox, IE8, Chrome and Opera, I get scrollbars for the content div when I resize the page to a size where both divs can't fit in as a whole. The navigation div stays in its place. And that is the desired behaviour. But in IE6, there are no scrollbars for the content div. Instead, when the page is getting too small, IE6 simply puts the content div under the navigation div. Do you know any way to hinder IE6 from this behaviour?

• Nivo Slider thumbnails not displaying properly in IE

  Making a new site but something is happening to it in IE. I've purchased the Nivo Slider for wordpress plugin and it working fine however it's not displaying the thumbnails under the banner in IE. This is what it looks like in firefox This is what it looks like in IE Because this is a plugin (and the website isn't giving me any support after 2 days) I dont really have the source CSS but I was hoping you could take a look at it with come developer tools to see why it might not be showing in IE? • How to resize pdf graphics produced in R using Illustrator

  I am making plots in R using the pdf() command. Graphs look perfect and resize nicely in Acrobat Reader. My usual workflow includes manipulating labels etc. in Illustrator, saving as .eps for submission to publishers or inserting in Word. All works fine for single graphs. Now I am trying to combine 4 graphs into one by manually putting them together in an A4 Illustrator document. However, when I resize the standard 7x7 inches pdf graph in Illustrator to fit in one column of an A4 page (ca 3.4 inches wide), all proportions get screwed up, e.g. lines and symbols outlines become way too thick. Using pdf(..., width=3.4, height=3.4) in R messes up all the symbol and font sizes so carefully chosen to produce the original graph. Why can't I resize the graph within Illustrator the same way I can resize the pdf e.g. in Acrobat Reader?

  1- In Windows CE, I have a Bitmap object in C#. 2- I have a C function in an extern dll that expects as parameters the pointer to a bytes array that represents an image in RGB565 format, width and height. This function will draw on this array of bytes. So I need to pass the byte array pointer of the Bitmap object, but I can find a practical way to get this pointer. One way is convert this Bitmap into a bytes array using a memory stream or something else, but it will create a new bytes array, so I will keep in memory both object, the Bitmap and the bytes array, but I don’t want it because the few available memory, that’s why I need to access to the bytes array of the bitmap object, not create a new bytes array. Anyone can help me?

• Two Column Theme, Help, to make both columns seperately Scrollable.

  Hey, I am not sure what to do on this one, I'm not a programmer, but trying to learn CSS as this is how the theme I am using was coded in. I've gotten quite far on my own, but this one stumps me Its two column Theme... As far as I have been able to get, I can use the following: #left { width: 235px; padding: 10px; margin-left: 20px; position: fixed; line-height: 15px; If I change the position to Absolute, The whole page scrolls, If I leave it at Fixed, and add lets say, a Twitter feed, or other type of text that takes me past its reading where you would normally scroll, Its just cut off, cannot get to it, hightlight or scroll.. I've also toyed with the idea, of changing the theme to a 3 column theme, but Again, not a programmer, and i'd be really confused. anyhelp would be great...   I'm developing a system that allows for changing some of the css parameters without accessing the code. To achieve that I have jQuerry objects like sliders and draggers which influence how the site looks user side, eg. $("#MainContent").css("width", "55%");. Now I need a way to append those changes to a .css file on the server. Let me clarify that this is sort of a CMS system, and only administrator of the system would have this option, not the visitors of user-end site. I realise that .css is one for all users. Ideal solution would connect to the server every time user makes a change, and replace only one line of css code. But I have no idea how to do it efficiently or if it at all possible.

• h3 tag text/image replacement, does this hurt seo?

  I'm trying to "replace" text with an image in all of my h3 tags. I want the image to be in the html to avoid multiple h3 classes as this is being done for a portfolio and there will be about 10 h3 tags on the page.
