• Executing an exe with arguments using Powershell

  This is what I want to execute: c:\Program Files (x86)\SEQUEL ViewPoint\viewpoint.exe /Setvar((POSTSTR $POSTSTR)(POSTEND $POSTEND)) /G:C:\viewpointfile.vpt /D:C:($BEGDATE to $TODDATE).xls This is what I have tried: $a = "/Setvar((POSTSTR $POSTSTR)(POSTEND $POSTEND))" $b = "/G:C:\viewpointfile.vpt" $c = "/D:C:($BEGDATE to $TODDATE).xls" $Viewpoint = "c:\Program Files (x86)\SEQUEL ViewPoint\viewpoint.exe" &$Viewpoint $a $b $c When I execute this I receive an error stating: File C:\viewpointfile.vpt "/D:C:($BEGDATE to $TODDATE).xls" not found! I'm not sure where it gets the extra quotes from. If I run the command with just $a and $b it runs fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! :) Update manojlds suggested echoargs so here it the output from it: &./echoargs.exe $viewpoint $a $b $c Arg 0 is C:\Program Files (x86)\SEQUEL ViewPoint\viewpoint.exe Arg 1 is /Setvar((POSTSTR 20101123)(POSTEND 20111123)) Arg 2 is /G:C:\viewpointfile.vpt Arg 3 is /D:C:(2010-11-23 to 2011-11-23 PM).xls It appears that all the arguments are being passed properly. When I run this as a command in cmd.exe it executes perfectly. So something on Powershells end must be messing up the output. Is there any other way to go about executing this command using Powershell?

• Application runs fine when executed directly, fails as scheduled task (security issues)

  I have an application that loads some files from a network share (the input folder), extracts certain data from them and saves new files (zips them with SharpZLib) on a different network share (output folder). This application runs fine when you open it directly, but when it is set to a scheduled task, it fails in numerous places. This application is scheduled on a Win 2003 server. Let me say right off the bat, the scheduled task is set to use the same login account that I am currently logged in with, so it's not because it's using the LocalSystem account. Something else is going on here. Originally, the application was assigning a drive letter to the input folder using WNetGetConnectionA(). I don't remember why this was done, someone else on our team did that and she's gone now. I think there was some issue with using the WinZip command line with a UNC path. I switched from the WinZip command line utility to using SharpZLib because there were other issues with using the WinZip command line. Anyway, the application failed when trying to assign a drive letter with the error "connection already established." That wasn't true and even after trying WNetCancelConnection(), it still didn't work. Then I decided to just map the drive manually on the server. Then when the app calls Directory.Exists(inputFolderPath) it returns false, even though it does exist. So, for whatever reason, I cannot read this directory from within the application. I can manually navigate to this folder in Windows Explorer and open files. The app log file shows that the user executing it on the schedule is the user I expect, not LocalSystem. Any ideas?

  Hello, I am using Ctools Dependency to make a fieldset hideable. Both have #process and #dependency parameters and both point to one field for dependent value. Problem is elements like select or textfield can be hidden easily but it does not work for fieldset. In this support request page, CTools creator has mentioned that '#input' = true is a work around. As you see I added it to code, but it does not work as well. Do you have any suggestion?

  Hi, I having problems with re-checking some checkboxes after and ajax call updates a table. I have a table of what the project calls 'shares'. I want to: 1) check for and save any checked shares to an array 2) Do my ajax call to update the table of shares 3) Re-check any there we checked before the ajax update. My code is not working and I can't see why? When this button is clicked, I would like to programmatically call the submit method. My question is how I could select the form which is in a iframe using jQuery.   My Qt application uses Q_ASSERT_X, which calls qFatal(), which (by default) aborts the application. That's great for the application, but I'd like to suppress that behavior when unit testing the application. (I'm using the Google Test Framework.) I have by unit tests in a separate project, statically linking to the class I'm testing. The documentation for qFatal() reads: Calls the message handler with the fatal message msg. If no message handler has been installed, the message is printed to stderr. Under Windows, the message is sent to the debugger. If you are using the default message handler this function will abort on Unix systems to create a core dump. On Windows, for debug builds, this function will report a _CRT_ERROR enabling you to connect a debugger to the application. ... To supress the output at runtime, install your own message handler with qInstallMsgHandler(). • PHP - Drilling down Data and Looping with Loops

  I'm currently having difficulty finding a way of making my loops work. I have a table of data with 15 minute values. I need the data to pull up in a few different increments $filters=Array('Yrs','Qtr','Day','60','30','15'); I think I have a way of finding out what I need to be able to drill down to but the issue I'm having is after the first loop to cycle through all the Outter most values (ex: the user says they want to display by Hours, each hour should be able to have a "+" that will then add a new div to display the half hour data, then each half hour data have a "+" to display the 15 minute data upon request. Now I can just program the number of outputs for each value (6 different outputs) just in-case... but isn't there a way I can make it do the drill down for each one in a loop? so I only have to code one output once and have it just check if there are any more intervals after it and check for those? I'm sure I'm just overlooking some very simple way of doing this but my brain isn't being clever today. Sorry in advance if this is a simple solution. I guess the best way I could think of it as a reply on a form. How you would check to see if it's a reply of a reply, and then if that reply has any replys...etc for output. Can anyone help or at least point me in the right direction? Or am I stuck coding each possible check? Thanks in advance!

• jQuery Ajax call for buttons on a list

  I have a list of data that i have in a view from an asp.net mvc application. It's a list of stock and I have two images (a plus and a minus) on the end of each row which will allow me to increase or decrease stock quantity. It works fine at present with a call to the mvc action but since the list is long I want to use jQuery and AJAX to have the call go without a refresh. I want to do this with unobtrusive javascript so don't want onclick handlers on my images. Since I'm just starting out with jQuery I have no idea how I can iterate all the images and add the function. • Retrieving ids from MySQL query

  I am having trouble accessing the "model_id" and "brand_id" from the foreach loop that I am using. They are the right field names, because I have echoed them successfully, and I have also "var_dumped" the array, and the IDs are there. It is just a case of implementing the relevant links on each list section. • MVC Html.ActionLink with post funtionality?

  I'm checking to see if anyone has written an MVC extension for Html.ActionLink that you can pass in Post parameters like such: <% Html.ActionLink("Click me", "Index", "Home", new { MyRouteValue = "123" }, null, new { postParam1 = "a", postParam2 = "b" }); %> That would render the link like normal but having an onClick event that submits an also rendered form with an Action url for the Action, Controller, and Route Values with additional hidden inputs from the Post Parameters like such: <a href="#" onClick="$('#theform').submit(); return false;">Click me</a> <form id="theform" action="/Home/Index/123" method="post"> <input type="hidden" name="postParam1" value="a"> <input type="hidden" name="postParam2" value="b"> </form> I'm looking to redirect users to various pages with potentially a lot of data. Not only from page to page, but from email to page also. This would be highly reusable and I think would clean up a lot of code, and would save a bunch of time writing this if its already floating around out there. I hate recreating the wheel when I don't have to. Thanks!

Postscript This script is really awful, but has the redeeming quality that it Works On My Systems. Note that several mount points may be prefixes of $path. Examples On a Linux system: cas@txtproof:~$ path=/sys/block/hda1 cas@txtproof:~$ for i in $(df -a|cut -c 57-99); do case $path in $i*) echo $i;; esac; done| tail -1 /sys On a Mac osx system cas local$ path=/dev/fd/0 cas local$ for i in $(df -a|cut -c 63-99); do case $path in $i*) echo $i;; esac; done| tail -1 /dev Note the need to vary cut's parameters, because of the way df's output differs: indeed, awk is better. Answer It looks like munging tabular output is the only way within the shell, but df /dev/fd/impossible | tail -1 | awk '{ print $NF}' is a big improvement on what I had. Note two differences in semantics: firstly, df $path insists that $path names an existing file, the script I had above doesn't care; secondly, there are no worries about dereferncing symlinks. It's not difficult to write Python code to do the job.

• How does PHP interface with Apache?

  Hi, I've almost finished writing a HTTP/1.0 compliant web server under Java (no commercial usage as such, this is just for fun) and basically I want to include PHP support. I realize that this is no easy task at all, but I think it'll be a nice accomplishment. So I want to know how PHP exactly interfaces with the Apache web server (or any other web server really), so I can learn from it and write my own PHP wrapper. It doesn't necessarily have to be mod_php, I don't mind writing a FastCGI wrapper - which to my knowledge is capable of running PHP as well. I would've thought that all that PHP needs is the output that goes to client (so it can interpret the PHP parts), the full HTTP request from client (so it can extract POST variables and such) and the client's host name. And then you simply take the parsed PHP code and write that to the output stream. There will probably be more things, but in essence that's how I would have thought it works. From what I've gathered so far, apache2handler provides an API which PHP makes use of to 'connect' to Apache. I guess it's an idea to look at the source code for apache2handler and php5apache2.dll or so, but before I do that I thought I'd ask SO first. If anyone has more information, experience, or some sort of specification that is relevant to this then please let me know. Thanks in advance!
