• Configuring visual subversion to exclude

  I have been searching for any documentation on how to exclude files for visual svn but have not found any. All the documentation I find seems to not match my file structure or I am missing some files/directories referenced. For example the only file I find with configuration items in it seems to be completely commented out and missing the miscellaneous section as well as any auto properties enable - etc... Ultimately I need to exclude some files so that my development can continue without SVN errors. I am constantly receiving errors for pbuser and other project files and would like to make sure this is not causing some of my other headaches. • CSS: how to move element from one column to another one without changing the html ?

  hi, I'm using css to edit the content of a page (NB. I cannot edit html code). I have 2 columns div1, div2. Each columns have several children (containing text). If the block has 2 or more lines of text all successive content is automatically moved down. I need to move a chidlren from the first column to the second one, in the middle. I was considering to use absolute positioning but then I realize how children are not anymore moving down as the number of text lines increases.   Hello, I am having a problem with jquery going a bit too far on pattern matching of CSS classes and IDs.   In my project, I have created a code snippet which can be copied and then put in any website. It shows my content on other websites. My approach works fine. But when I look into some good standard ways to do such tasks, I find a different way. Take an example of google adsense code. <script type='text/javascript'> var a = 'somedata'; var b = 'someotherdata'; </script> <script type='text/javascript' src='http://www.google.com/adsenseurl.js'></script> I guess, since a and b are global; adsenseurl.js must be using it and may be finally they are showing it on iframe. So, now the question. What's the advantage in using google's approach and whats wrong in my approach ? p.s. I know I should try to avoid using iframes but I dont see any other way to accomplish this.

The way it works is like this: 1: You click the "delete" button in the table row for the record that you want to delete. 2: The page sends a request to the ajax page and return a successfully message of "yes" or a failure message of "no".   I have a huge file (with around 200k inputs). The inputs are in the form: A B C D B E F C A B D D I am reading this file and storing it in a list as follows: text = f.read().split('\n') This splits the file whenever it sees a new line. Hence text is like follows: [[A B C D] [B E F] [C A B D] [D]] I have to now store these values in a dictionary where the key values are the first element from each list. i.e the keys will be A, B, C, D. I am finding it difficult to enter the values as the remaining elements of the list. i.e the dictionary should look like: {A: B C D; B: E F; C: A B D; D: 0} I have done the following: inlinkDict = {} for doc in text: adoc= doc.split(' ') docid = adoc[0] inlinkDict[docid] = inlinkDict.get(docid,0) + {I do not understand what to put in here} Please help as to how should i add the values to my dictionary. It should be 0 if there are no elements in the list except for the one which will be the key value. Like in example for 0.

The problem is that this code doesn't produce the desired effect. The outer div is indeed the correct size, but the inner div seems to only fill a small area at the top of the outer div. I also tried using height:inherit and width:inherit instead of specifying a size.

• How to write a cgi script in perl that accepts output (an image file) from a urlconnection in a Java applet and writes it to the server?

  I created a Java applet for my web page that creates an image file. I want users to be able to run the applet and create unique images, click a button, and have the image they created be saved to the web server. I think I have the code down for writing the image to a URLconnection in the Java applet itself after having successfully written a file while running the applet on my system rather than the web page and saving a file to the local disk, and then altering a few things to write to a URLConnection instead of to the local disk (although we shall see how that works too). I am now trying to write a cgi script in perl that takes the image output from the URLConnection and writes the image to a file on my web server (note: I am a newbie to perl). I have found many examples of how to do something similar with simple text coming from an applet and then writing it to a text file, but I want to know how to apply the same concept to an image. Particularly, how do I read in the image? I've seen text input get read by using read(STDIN, $some_variable)--does the same thing work with an image? Likewise, how do I write the image file? What function do I use? Thanks for your help. I know that I am rather naive about all of this.

  So I'm completely lost on how to submit a form with Ajax. I'm fairly new to Javascript and hopefully I'm not in over my head. When I click submit on my form, nothing happens on my page, not in my SQL database where the info should be stored (double checked process form too).
