  • Sound card not detected in 13.04

    I have a problem with my sound card. I don't have volume up or down option anywhere. In the setting -> Sound I don't have any card detected.   • Constrained A* problem

    I've got a little problem with an A* algorithm that I need to Constrained a little bit. Basically : I use an A* to find the shortest path between 2 randomly placed room in 3D space, and then build a corridor between them. The problem I found is that sometimes it makes chimney like corridors that are not ideal, so I constrict the A* so that if the last movement was up or down, you go sideways. Everything is fine, but in some corner cases, it fails to find a path (when there is obviously one).   • No sound, can't adjust alsamixer volume

    I have no sound on my ubuntu and I do not know why. I saw a lot of posts about that, I tried a lots of solutions that I found (especially this one) but it still does not work. I suspect alsamixer. The report is having four parts as - Project Info1 (A PDF Table of variable height) Project Info2 (A PDF Table of variable height) Requestor Info (A PDF Table of Fixed height) Location Info (A PDF Table of Fixed height) The top two information are of variable height and they can acquire certain pages. The other two are of fixed size which comes at last. I want to move the last (one or both) boxes to the next page if there is no space available to fit those boxes in current page. If space for one box is available then place one to the current page and move other box to the next table. Is there way to decide this?

I get the current location with -(void)locationManager:(CLLocationManager *)manager didUpdateToLocation:(CLLocation *)newLocation fromLocation:(CLLocation *)oldLocation { NSLog(@"%f,%f", [newLocation coordinate]); The Log displays the correct coordinates like 2010-04-05 15:33:25.436 deBordeaux[60657:207] 37.331689,-122.030731 I didn't find the right way to transmit the coordinates to the url-string. Does someone can give me a hint how-to?

    I'm working on replacing Unity with Ninject in the Prism framework. This requires me to implement a Ninject specific IServiceLocator. From what I've understood I can inherit the ServiceLocatorImplBase instead, so that's what I do. Now how can I set this to be the Current ServiceLocator? I need this in order to have e.g. the RegionManager get it when it creates regions, and calls: IServiceLocator locator = ServiceLocator.Current; This is a static property, but it doesn't have a setter.. There is a function: void ServiceLocator.SetLocatorProvider(ServiceLocatorProvider newProvider); ..but the argument doesn't match my ServiceLocatorImplBase. Any ideas?

    Hello I have a web application, which is using a SQL Server 2005 database. My problem is, that the application has no role management. So the application always accesses the database with one default user. But now I have to save and access a value only for the current user. Is there any way to do this? Maybe something like a session on the web server? The best way would be, if there is any possibility to access the current session id of the web server from T-SQL. Do anyone understand my problem? :) Torben

    Is it possible to set an UISlider as first responder and set its current value to the location of the current touch programatically? The way my app is set up I have a UIView container that takes up the whole screen. Inside the container I have another UIView offscreen at the bottom edge (I'll call this bottomBar). Inside the bottomBar there is a UISlider element. Right now, when the user swipes along the bottom edge of the screen the bottomBar the slider it contains slide up. What I am trying to achieve is to activate the UISlider, and set the position of the slider (the value) to the position of the users touch. Is this possible? Could someone please point me in the right direction?

I mean the method is called by multiple requesters And more then one requester may hit the second line at the same time while the cache is empty. So all of these requesters will retrieve the data and add to cache. The query takes 5-8 seconds. May a surrounding lock statement around this code prevent that action? (I know multiple queries will not cause error but i want to be sure running just one query.)

So that I can assign users 'access' to brands, the brands that show up are only the brands that belong to the current company (defined by the subdomain [using subdomain_fu]). The problem I am running into is that when using the default HABTM functionality and the checkbox list, upon save, Rails removes ALL user-brand associations, then re-adds just the ones for the form I just submitted.. How do I scope that to only remove associations of brands who belong to the current company, defined in the subdomain?

  • Bash PS1 settings - how to get the current folder back as the terminal title

    Hi all. I recently added these lines to my ~/.bashrc file to show the current branch if i'm in a git working folder, and it works nicely for that. However, what i've lost is that the current folder name used to be shown in the tab for the terminal i have open, and now it isn't: it always just says 'Terminal'. Can i get that back and still keep the git stuff? Here's the lines in question - it's the second one that's the issue, as commenting out just the second line fixes the problem. source /etc/bash_completion.d/git PS1='\h:\w$(__git_ps1 "\[\e[32m\][%s]\[\e[0m\]")$ ' I've been looking at explanations of the options for PS1 but can't see anything about the terminal window's title in there.     I want to be able to maintain certain objects between application restarts. To do that, I want to write specific cached items out to disk in Global.asax Application_End() function and re-load them back on Application_Start(). I currently have a cache helper class, which uses the following method to return the cached value: return HttpContext.Current.Cache[key]; Problem: during Application_End(), HttpContext.Current is null since there is no web request (it's an automated cleanup procedure) - therefore, I cannot access .Cache[] to retrieve any of the items to save to disk. Question: how can I access the cache items during Application_End()?
