  • ObjectDataSource DataObjectTypeName Help. Pass object as parameter

    - by Kettenbach
I have a partial class (the main class is a LinqToSql generated class) <DataObject(True)> _ Partial Public Class MBI_Contract <DataObjectMethod(DataObjectMethodType.Select, True)> _ Public Shared Function GetCancelableContracts(ByVal dealer As Dealer) As List(Of MBI_Contract) Return Utilities.GetCancelableContractsForDealer(dealer) End Function End Class Here is the method it's calling Public Function GetCancelableContractsForDealer(ByVal dealer As Dealer) As List(Of MBI_Contract) Dim db As TestDataContext = TestDataContext.Create() Return (From mbi As MBI_Contract In db.MBI_Contracts _ Where mbi.MBI_DealerNumber = dealer.DealerNumber _ AndAlso mbi.MBI_PaidFor = True _ AndAlso mbi.MBI_Deleted = False).ToList() End Function I want to use the ObjectDataSource to drive a DropDownList. <asp:ObjectDataSource ID="contractOds" runat="server" TypeName="MBI_Contract" SelectMethod="GetCancelableContracts" DataObjectTypeName="Dealer"> </asp:ObjectDataSource> My aspx page has a Dealer property that is set in a BasePage. My question is how can I pass this property(object) to the ObjectDataSource, so it can be evaluated in my select method. Does anyone know how I can do this? Or am I totally doing this the wrong way? Thanks for any Advice, Cheers, ~ck in San Diego

  • How to get parameter values for dm_exec_sql_text

    - by Ted Elliott
I'm running the following statement to see what queries are executing in sql server: select * from sys.dm_exec_requests r cross apply sys.dm_exec_sql_text(r.sql_handle) where r.database_id = DB_ID('<dbname>') The sql text that comes back is parameterized: (@Parm0 int) select * from foo where foo_id = @Parm0 Is there any way to get the values for the parameters that the statement is using? Say by joining to another table perhaps?

  • Convert templated parameter type to string

    - by wheaties
I've got a small bit of DRY going on in code I and others have written that I'd like to reduce but I'm failing to figure out how to get it done. This is legacy COM code but it's interfering with the readability. I'd like to do the following: bool queryInterface<class T, class V>(T &_input, V &_output, Logger &_logger){ if( FAILED( _input->QueryInterface( &_output ) ) ){ _logger.error() << "Failed to Query Interface between " << MAGICHAPPENS<T>() << " and " << MAGICHAPPENS<V>(); return false; } if( _output == NULL ){ _logger.warn() << "Unable to Query Interface between " << MAGICHAPPENS<T>() << " and " << MAGICHAPPENS<V>(); return false; } } Wherein the "MAGICHAPPENS()" function would spit out the name of the variable type. Such that if "V" were a IQueryFilter I'd get back a string of "IQueryFilter." I can't think of any reasonable solution without having to write a bunch of template specializations totally defeating the point in the first place. Is there a way to write ANDMAGICHAPPENS?

  • What to pass to UserType, BlobType.setPreparedStatement session parameter

    - by dlots
http://blog.xebia.com/2009/11/09/understanding-and-writing-hibernate-user-types/ I am attempting to defined a customer serialization UserType that mimics, the XStreamUserType referenced and provided here: http://code.google.com/p/aphillips/source/browse/commons-hibernate-usertype/trunk/src/main/java/com/qrmedia/commons/persistence/hibernate/usertype/XStreamableUserType.java My serializer outputs a bytearray that should presumably written to a Blob. I was going to do: public class CustomSerUserType extends DirtyCheckableUserType { protected SerA ser=F.g(SerA.class); public Class<Object> returnedClass() { return Object.class; } public int[] sqlTypes() { return new int[] {Types.BLOB}; } public Object nullSafeGet(ResultSet resultSet,String[] names,Object owner) throws HibernateException,SQLException { if() } public void nullSafeSet(PreparedStatement preparedStatement,Object value, int index) throws HibernateException,SQLException { BlobType.nullSafeSet(preparedStatement,ser.ser(value),index); } } Unfortunetly, the BlobType.nullSafeSet method requires the session. So how does one define a UserType that gets access to a servlet requests session? EDIT: There is a discussion of the issue here and it doesn't appear there is a solution: Best way to implement a Hibernate UserType after deprecations?

  • How to switch position of two items in a Python list?

    - by mikl
I haven’t been able to find a good solution for this problem on the net (probably because switch, position, list and Python are all such overloaded words). It’s rather simple – I have this list: ['title', 'email', 'password2', 'password1', 'first_name', 'last_name', 'next', 'newsletter'] I’d like to switch position of 'password2' and 'password1' – not knowing their exact position, only that they’re right next to one another and password2 is first. I’ve accomplished this with some rather long-winded list-subscripting, but I wondered if someone could come up with something a bit more elegant?

  • C# - Class Type as Parameter in methods

    - by Claudio
Hi guys, I'm using SQLite.cs wrapper for helping me with the database and I have this method for create XML from a table, that is working fine. public void GenerateInvoiceXML(string filePath) { var invoices = app.db.Table<Invoice>().ToList(); XmlSerializer serializer = new XmlSerializer( typeof(List<Invoice>) ); TextWriter writer = new StreamWriter(filePath); serializer.Serialize(writer, invoices); writer.Close(); } All tables that I have are defined like this: [Serializable] public class Invoice { [PrimaryKey, AutoIncrement] public int Id { get; set; } public string Supplier {get; set;} public string Date {get; set;} public string PaymentMethod {get; set;} public string Notes {get; set;} public Invoice(int newID) { Id = newID; } public Invoice() { } } But I want to change this method for something like this: public void GenerateInvoiceXML(string filePath, Type table) { var dataForXML = app.db.Table<table>().ToList(); XmlSerializer serializer = new XmlSerializer( typeof(List<table>) ); TextWriter writer = new StreamWriter(filePath); serializer.Serialize(writer, dataForXML); writer.Close(); } Does anybody have an idea how to do it? Kind Regards, Claudio

  • Limiting selected rows count with a stored procedure parameter in MySQL

    - by ssobczak
I have a procedure SelectProc wich contains SELECT statement. I want to add a procedure param LimitRowsCount and use it as following: CREATE PROCEDURE SelectProc (IN LimitRowsCount INTEGER UNSIGNED) BEGIN SELECT (...) LIMIT LimitRowsCount; END but this approach doesn't work. The SELECT itself contains nested subqueries so I can't create view from it. Is there a way more propper then dynamic SQL (prepared statements) ?

  • Scala type system : basic type mismatch

    - by SiM
I have a basic type system type mismatch problem: I have a class with a method def Create(nodeItem : NodeItem) = {p_nodeStart.addEndNode(nodeItem)} where p_nodeStart is NodeCache class NodeCache[END_T<:BaseNode] private(node: Node) extends BaseNode { def addEndNode(endNode : END_T) = {this.CACHE_HAS_ENDNODES.Create(endNode)} and the error its giving me is: error: type mismatch; found : nodes.NodeItem required: Nothing def Create(nodeItem : NodeItem) = {p_nodeStart.addEndNode(nodeItem)} while the NodeCache is defined as object NodeTrigger { def Create() { val nodeTimeCache = NodeCache.Create[NodeItem](node) and in object NodeCache object NodeCache { def Create[END_T<:BaseNode]() { val nodeCache = new NodeCache[END_T](node); Any ideas, how to fix the error?

  • explicit copy constructor or implicit parameter by value

    - by R Samuel Klatchko
I recently read (and unfortunately forgot where), that the best way to write operator= is like this: foo &operator=(foo other) { swap(*this, other); return *this; } instead of this: foo &operator=(const foo &other) { foo copy(other); swap(*this, copy); return *this; } The idea is that if operator= is called with an rvalue, the first version can optimize away construction of a copy. So when called with a rvalue, the first version is faster and when called with an lvalue the two are equivalent. I'm curious as to what other people think about this? Would people avoid the first version because of lack of explicitness? Am I correct that the first version can be better and can never be worse?

  • Use Hudson Build Parameter in Grails Build Target

    - by Stephen Swensen
I have created two Hudson String Parameters in my parametrized build configuration: svnRoot, and svnBranch. I can reference these just fine when specifying my Repository URL: ${svnRoot}/${svnBranch}/subProject. But I have not been able to reference them as part of my Grails Build Target: "build-applet ${svnRoot}/${svnBranch}/appletProject username password" "war --non-interactive". build-applet invokes a Gant script in the Grails project at scripts\BuildApplet.groovy. This attempt yields the following error: groovy.lang.MissingPropertyException: No such property: svnRoot for class: Script1 at org.codehaus.groovy.runtime.ScriptBytecodeAdapter.unwrap(ScriptBytecodeAdapter.java:49) at org.codehaus.groovy.runtime.callsite.PogoGetPropertySite.getProperty(PogoGetPropertySite.java:49) at org.codehaus.groovy.runtime.callsite.AbstractCallSite.callGroovyObjectGetProperty(AbstractCallSite.java:240) at Script1.run(Script1.groovy:1) at groovy.lang.GroovyShell.evaluate(GroovyShell.java:561) at groovy.lang.GroovyShell.evaluate(GroovyShell.java:536) at com.g2one.hudson.grails.GrailsBuilder.evalTarget(GrailsBuilder.java:212) at com.g2one.hudson.grails.GrailsBuilder.perform(GrailsBuilder.java:168) at hudson.tasks.BuildStepMonitor$1.perform(BuildStepMonitor.java:19) at hudson.model.AbstractBuild$AbstractRunner.perform(AbstractBuild.java:603) at hudson.model.Build$RunnerImpl.build(Build.java:172) at hudson.model.Build$RunnerImpl.doRun(Build.java:137) at hudson.model.AbstractBuild$AbstractRunner.run(AbstractBuild.java:417) at hudson.model.Run.run(Run.java:1337) at hudson.model.FreeStyleBuild.run(FreeStyleBuild.java:46) at hudson.model.ResourceController.execute(ResourceController.java:88) at hudson.model.Executor.run(Executor.java:140) What is the best and or easiest way to achieve my goal?

  • Wrapping allocated output parameters with a scoped_ptr/array

    - by Danra
So, I have some code which looks like this: byte* ar; foo(ar) // Allocates a new[] byte array for ar ... delete[] ar; To make this safer, I used a scoped_array: byte* arRaw; scoped_array ar; foo(arRaw); ar.reset(arRaw); ... // No delete[] The question is, Is there any existing way to do this using just the scoped_array, without using a temporary raw array? I can probably write an in-place "resetter" class, just wondering if the functionality exists and I'm missing it. Thanks, Dan

  • Unable to out/retval parameter in COM interface method in VC++ 2008

    - by user196614
Hi, I want to create a simple COM component in VC++ 2008. I have created ATL Project with all default options. I have added Simple ATL object (interface IDemo). Now I want to add a methos inside IDemo. But the "Add Method Wizard" does not allow me to add out/retval type of parameters to the method. I can add in type of parameters. Is it possible to add out/retval type of parameters? If yes then How can I do it? Thanks

  • Databinding a property with a parameter

    - by clawson
I would like to databind to a property that requires arguments. What is the best way do to this? are there work arounds? I'm open to any suggestions. I thought about defining custom columns and cells because the parameters that the property requires are available from the within the object bound to the row, but I'm having trouble materialising this idea. Thanks in advance for the help.

  • Efficient data structure for fast random access, search, insertion and deletion

    - by Leonel
I'm looking for a data structure (or structures) that would allow me keep me an ordered list of integers, no duplicates, with indexes and values in the same range. I need four main operations to be efficient, in rough order of importance: taking the value from a given index finding the index of a given value inserting a value at a given index deleting a value at a given index Using an array I have 1 at O(1), but 2 is O(N) and insertion and deletions are expensive (O(N) as well, I believe). A Linked List has O(1) insertion and deletion (once you have the node), but 1 and 2 are O(N) thus negating the gains. I tried keeping two arrays a[index]=value and b[value]=index, which turn 1 and 2 into O(1) but turn 3 and 4 into even more costly operations. Is there a data structure better suited for this?

  • $.(ajax) wrapper for Jquery - passing parameters to delegates

    - by gnomixa
I use $.(ajax) function extensively in my app to call ASP.net web services. I would like to write a wrapper in order to centralize all the ajax calls. I found few simple solutions, but none address an issue of passing parameters to delegates, for example, if i have: $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "http://localhost/TemplateWebService/TemplateWebService/Service.asmx/GetFoobar", data: jsonText, contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8", dataType: "json", success: function(response) { var results = (typeof response.d) == 'string' ? eval('(' + response.d + ')') : response.d; OnSuccess(results, someOtherParam1, someOtherParam2); }, error: function(xhr, status, error) { OnError(); } }); The wrapper to this call would have to have the way to pass someOtherParam1, someOtherParam2 to the OnSuccess delegate...Aside from packing the variables into a generic array, I can't think of other solutions. How did you guys address this issue?

  • Scala 2.8: use Java annotation with an array parameter

    - by yournamehere
I'm trying to implement an JavaEE Session Bean with Scala 2.8. Because it's a Remote Session Bean, i have to annotate it with the following Java Annotation: @Target({ElementType.TYPE}) @Retention(RetentionPolicy.RUNTIME) public @interface Remote { Class[] value() default {}; } I only found this example for scala 2.7. In Scala 2.7, its possible to define the session bean like this: @Remote {val value = Array(classOf[ITest])} class MyEJB ... How can i use this annotation the same way with Scala 2.8? I already tried many different versions, all resulting in "annotation argument needs to be a constant", "illegal start of simple expression". All of these definitions don't work: @Remote{val value = Array(classOf[PersonScalaEJB])} @Remote(val value = Array(classOf[PersonScalaEJB])) @Remote(Array(classOf[PersonScalaEJB]))
