    Hey guys. I have a large config file (user) that i needed to go to the right location and have some default values. Since i have a installer class, i added some parameter setting to the config file in it, but created the config files in the installers folder. What is the best way to ensure these default parameters will be written only once, and in the right location?

  • .net ViewState in page lifecycle

    I have a page containing a control called PhoneInfo.ascx. PhoneInfo is dynamically created using LoadControl() and then the initControl() function is called passing in an initialization object to set some initial textbox values within PhoneInfo. The user then changes these values and hits a submit button on the page which is wired up to the "submit_click" event. This event invokes the GetPhone() function within PhoneInfo. The returned value has all of the new user entered values except that the phoneId value (stored in ViewState and NOT edited by the user) always comes back as null. I believe that the viewstate is responsible for keeping track of user entered data across a postback, so I can't understand how the user values are coming back but not the explicitly set ViewState["PhoneId"] value! If I set the ViewState["PhoneId"] value in PhoneInfo's page_load event, it retrieves it correctly after the postback, but this isn't an option because I can only initialize that value when the page is ready to provide it. I'm sure I am just messing up the page lifecycle somehow, any suggestion or questions would really help! I have included a much simplified version of the actual code below.     I have the following xaml with all the binding removed; <StackPanel Grid.Row="2" Grid.Column="1" Orientation="Horizontal" HorizontalAlignment="Left" Height="20"> <ComboBox x:Name="ddlDay" Width="30"/> If I set the width of the combobox to 200 it works but if I set it to 50 it doesn't size past the default. I'm kinda new to xaml so is this default behavior or what do I do to make the combobox small?

    How can I have a localized default values in the Settings bundle? I encounter this problem for regionally sensitive defaults. Consider an option in the settings bundle to indicate whether to show distances in miles or kilometers. The default settings for en_US and en_GB is 'miles, and km for everywhere else. Does the SDK provide a settings for that? Or should I just add a third option: 'Infer metric system, miles, kms'

  • ubercart search - products aren't indexed

    Our shopping website is based on drupal's ubercart. I have setup ApacheSolr and ApacheSolr Ubercart integration modules. I have created a few products on my website, but am unable to get these products indexed. The default ApacheSolr module works, i.e., I am able to index drupal's default stories. But am unable to achieve indexing for ubercart. Guidance is greatly appreciated. Even links to tutorials to set these up would be helpful.

    Is it possible to have a separate php.ini file that overrides the default php.ini file for each virtual host? I'm running Apache/2.2.14, PHP 5.3.2-1. For example I have several vhosts pointing to domains in my /var/www/ directory: /var/www/website1.com /var/www/website2.com What I'd like is to be able to place a custom php.ini file in each directory that would override the default values only for that vhost, but keep the original defaults if the value isn't specified: /var/www/website1.com/htdocs/ /var/www/website1.com/php.ini

I realize that Fedora uses a default 'apache' user for running Apache, and Debian uses a 'www-data' user, but there's no corresponding /users/apache directory on my machine...   • Why do browsers allow switching off Javascript?

    Am curious why modern browsers allow switching off Javascript. It's so clear now that to do any substantial modern web application you need to integrate some high level of Javascript, why cant javascript be made an integral part of the browser? It becomes even more annoying especially when this option is OFF by default (IE!!) My opinion is, it should be made a standard for all the browsers to have javascript option enabled by default. What do you guys think?

  • Including hibernate jar dependencies in ant build

    Hi, I'm trying to compile a runnable jar-file for a project that makes use of hibernate. I'm trying to construct an ant build.xml file to streamline my build process, but I'm having troubles with the inclusion of the hibernate3.jar inside the final jar-file. If I run the ant script I manage to include all my library jars, and they are put in the final jar-file's root. When I run the jar-file I get a java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/hibernate/Session error. If I make use of the built-in export to jar in Eclipse, it works only if I choose "extract required libraries into jar". But that bloats the jar, and includes too much of my project (i.e. unit tests).   • Selecting MediaTray in Java printing

    I am trying to programmatically select a different media tray using Java Printing API. However, my document always gets printed to the default (TOP) media tray. I checked if the MediaTray attributes are supported using "isAttributeValueSupported()" method on javax.print.PrintService interface and I am getting the result as "true" for each MediaTray I pass.   • WPF TreeView: How to style selected items with rounded corners like in Explorer

    The selected item in a WPF TreeView has a dark blue background with "sharp" corners. That looks a bit dated today: I would like to change the background to look like in Explorer of Windows 7 (with/without focus): What I tried so far does not remove the original dark blue background but paints a rounded border on top of it so that you see the dark blue color at the edges and at the left side - ugly. Interestingly, when my version does not have the focus, it looks pretty OK: I would like to refrain from redefining the control template as shown here or here. I want to set the minimum required properties to make the selected item look like in Explorer. Alternative: I would also be happy to have the focused selected item look like mine does now when it does not have the focus. When losing the focus, the color should change from blue to grey.     I've created an ActiveMQ MessageListener and configured it using Spring. I'm hosting the listener in Tomcat. When I start up the web application (that features only the listener), should the listener automatically start? Or do I need additional configuration? Here's what I have.
