    Hi, I am a looking for a free software that can run on the task bar (near the system time) where I can store frequently used text like my full street address, paths of specific deep folders & files in the computer etc etc. This way I can just click the icon which should popup a screen where I should be able to copy the text/string I am looking for Any ideas? thanks in advance

  • Matching monitors

    Does anyone know a good matching monitor setup for multiple displays? Looking for 1920 x 1200 with IPS panel as the main screen and some 1600 x 1200 monitor for the side but no single manufacturer seems to make monitors that match like this. Do you all just deal with the resolution and size differences in multi setups or has anyone found decent IPS panel setups that match (size / vertical resolution)? Three 1920x1200 seems like overkill, that's why I was looking for 4:3 monitors for the sides.

  • I know it is a VLC know issue, but cant find a workaround

    I installed VLC player, because it works better that other video player on HD videos, but know I have an issue all most of my games (All of those using Bink Video, that means all Unreal Engine games, Call of duty, and more). When I load the game, I can hear the videos, the audio is working, so I know the videos is loading, but there is no image on the screen! Once I read that it was a known VLC issue with DivX or something like that, cant remember, does anyone, know a way to fix it? Thanks in advance

    I have the "autumn colors in japan" theme and would like the lockscreen to use the same backgrounds. Specifically - what I want to do is make my lock screen use the same background as the theme I chose through Control Panel - Appearance and Personalization - Personalization. Currently it's set to Autumn Color in Japan. Do I have to locate the images and set them manually or is there a way to get the lockscreen to use the background I have for the desktop, set by my theme?

    I have "installed" Archboot on my macbook air, and I am getting screen problems after it loads UDEV, it is last thing I can read. Basically I am following this instructions. But then I got error that when installing grub legacy. Something about that it has no support of gpt. And I cannot find anything about bios-compatibility. P.S. it only took one try too install it on macbook 6,2 and few dozens in macbook air without results.

Fucking I'm in Visual Studio trying to get work done, and the piece of shit keeps telling me "LOL VSHost.exe crashed!"   • Window tiling in Gnome without Compiz?

    I really do like the Grid plugin in Compiz, but at work I cannot use Compiz on my workstation (Fedora 12). Is there anything similar for plain X or Metacity? The Grid-plugin gives you a few keyboard shortcuts for tiling active window. For example Ctrl+Alt+Numpad_4 would tile window to half screen.

    I'm logged in to a Windows 7 machine from a Windows 7 desktop, using the standard Remote Desktop client. Is there a key short cut to maximise a window within the remote desktop session (equivalent to Windows+up arrow)? I want the remote desktop session to NOT be full screen on my client machine, but to easily maximise windows on the remote session to the full size of the remote desktop window.     have a dell vostro 1520, installed an external usb keyboard which works fine but the laptop's keyboard does not work properly. in the log in screen everything works as it should, once logged in the keyboard breaks. keys that have an alternate symbol accessible with the FN key render it by default. Meaning i have to press the FN key for it to render the proper ones- p has the * as FN, in order to get the p i have to press p+FN.
