• Google Base Query Problems

  I am querying Google Base using the .NET library pretty much as described on this page. http://code.google.com/apis/base/docs/2.0/developers_guide_dotnet.html When I run the query a GBaseFeed is returned and it will usually have the TotalRecords property set to something like 35, but in the Entries collection it will often have no items or very few items. Other times the query returns all 35 items as expected in the Entries. Has anyone seen this behaviour or have any idea what could cause it?

• How to make the subview in a UIScrollView to refresh when we zoom it?

  I have subclassed UIView object inside a uiscrollview which displays a pdf page. I can zoom that page. But when I do so, the inside view is zoomed and is getting blurred. I understood that the inner view shud be refreshed and i called setNeedsDisplay. But no change have happened and its the same even now. • How to dispose NHibernate ISession in an ASP.NET MVC App

  I have NHibernate hooked up in my asp.net mvc app. Everything works fine, if I DON'T dispose the ISession. I have read however that you should dispose, but when I do, I get random "Session is closed" exceptions. I am injecting the ISession into my other objects with Windsor. I can't understand, why the environment has become irritable to this humble,innocent and useless piece of code. I would also like to know, does HTMLAgilityPack accept HTML classes as nodes?

But i can't figure out how he passes an object between the different modelViews. And as you can imagine that step is quite crucial.. In the example he uses an CupOfCoffee Object in the main wizardviewmodel and somehow manages to adjust it throughout the wizard. But i cant see anywhere how he does that. I've already tried to recreate a project like he has but no success. Could anyone tell me how he passes the objects between the different viewModels?

• Scheme Formatting Help

  I've been working on a project for school that takes functions from a class file and turns them into object/classes. The assignment is all about object oriented programming in scheme. My problem however is that my code doesn't format right. The output it gives me whenever I give it a file to pass in wraps the methods of the class in a list, making it so that the class never really gets declared. I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the parenthesis wrapping the method list to remove. I would really appreciate any help.   I am working on a SOAP based web service, with Sun's Metro. • Send parameters in order in HTTPService

  I am trying to work with a simple HTTPService. The problem is that my webservice is conscious of the order of arguments it gets. I will tell the problem with an example: var service:HTTPService = new HTTPService(); var params:Object = new Object(); params.rows = 0; params.facet = "true"; service.send(params); Note that in the above code I have mentioned the parameter rows before facet, but the url I recieve is facet=true&rows=0. So I recieve the argument rows before facet and hence my webservice does not work. I figured out that the contents of array is always sent in alphabetical order, which I dont want. Is there any way I can achieve explict ordering of parameters sent? Note that I am not in power of changing the logic of webservice(its basically a RPC service supporting both desktop and web client). Thanks.

  My table structure is as follows: Person 1-M PesonAddress Person 1-M PesonPhone Person 1-M PesonEmail Person 1-M Contract Contract M-M Program Contract M-1 Organization At the end of this query I need a populated object graph where each person has their: PesonAddress's PesonPhone's PesonEmail's PesonPhone's Contract's - and this has its respective Program's Now I had the following query and I thought that it was working great, but it has a couple of problems: from people in ctx.People.Include("PersonAddress") .Include("PersonLandline") .Include("PersonMobile") .Include("PersonEmail") .Include("Contract") .Include("Contract.Program") where people.Contract.Any( contract => (param.OrganizationId == contract.OrganizationId) && contract.Program.Any( contractProgram => (param.ProgramId == contractProgram.ProgramId))) select people; The problem is that it filters the person to the criteria but not the Contracts or the Contract's Programs. It brings back all Contracts that each person has not just the ones that have an OrganizationId of x and the same goes for each of those Contract's Programs respectively. What I want is only the people that have at least one contract with an OrgId of x with and where that contract has a Program with the Id of y... and for the object graph that is returned to have only the contracts that match and programs within that contract that match. I kinda understand why its not working, but I don't know how to change it so it is working... Keeping in mind that I am trying to do this as a compiled query so I think that means anonymous types are out.

  Hi, I'm trying to use memcache to cache data retrevied from the datastore. Storing stings works fine. But can't one store an object? I get an error "TypeError: 'str' object is not callable" when trying to store with this: pageData = PageType(page) memcache.add(memcacheid, pageData, 60) I've read in the documentation that it requires "The value type can be any value supported by the Python pickle module for serializing values." But don't really understand what that is. Or how to convert pageData to it. Any ideas? ..fredrik

  Hi, I am adding Apache Lucene support to Querydsl (which offers type-safe queries for Java) and I am having problems understanding how Lucene evaluates queries especially regarding negation in nested queries.   I want it to move when the mouse moves, and disappear when the pointer isn't over the label.   I get data in from POST and validate it via this standard snippet: entry_formset = EntryFormSet(request.POST, request.FILES, prefix='entries') if entry_formset.is_valid(): .... The EntryFormSet modelform overrides a foreign key field widget to present a text field. That way, the user can enter an existing key (suggested via an Ajax live search), or enter a new key, which will be seamlessly added. I use this try-except block to test if the object exists already, and if it doesn't, I add it. entity_name = request.POST['entries-0-entity'] try: entity = Entity.objects.get(name=entity_name) except Entity.DoesNotExist: entity = Entity(name=entity_name) entity.slug = slugify(entity.name) entity.save() However, I now need to get that entity back into the entry_formset. It thinks that entries-0-entity is a string (that's how it came in); how can I directly access that value of the entry_formset and get it to take the object reference instead?

  I created a WCF service (.NET 3.5) that grabs data from a db and returns a list of objects. It works just fine. I tested it using the WCFTestClient application and got the desired results. Now, I tried to create an ASP.NET web application and consume the service. After enabling <serviceDebug includeExceptionDetailInFaults="true"/> in the config file, the error message is "Object reference not set to an instance of an object."   I have a class that has an output() method which returns a matplotlib Figure instance. I have a decorator I wrote that takes that fig instance and turns it into a Django response object. My decorator looks like this: class plot_svg(object): def __init__(self, view): self.view = view def __call__(self, *args, **kwargs): print args, kwargs fig = self.view(*args, **kwargs) canvas=FigureCanvas(fig) response=HttpResponse(content_type='image/svg+xml') canvas.print_svg(response) return response and this is how it was being used: def as_avg(self): return plot_svg(self.output)() The only reason I has it that way instead of using the "@" syntax is because when I do it with the "@": @plot_svg def as_svg(self): return self.output() I get this error: as_svg() takes exactly 1 argument (0 given) I'm trying to 'fix' this by putting it in the "@" syntax but I can't figure out how to get it working. I'm thinking it has something to do with self not getting passed where it's supposed to...

My problem is that when i try to scroll down on my grid using the mouse on the side scroller, i get the 'no enterance' sign that means that "drag and drop is not allowed here, dude...".   I'm using this library: jsinq. I want to create a new object using subqueries. For example, in .NET LINQ, I could do something like this: from a in Attendances where a.SomeProperty = SomeValue select new { .Property1 = a.Property1, .Property2 = a.Property2, .Property3 = (from p in People where p.SomeProperty = a.Property3 select p) } such that I get a list of ALL people where Property3 value matches the attendance's Property3 value in EACH object returned in the list. I didn't see any sample of this in the docs or on the playground. Made a couple tries of it and didn't have any luck. Anybody know if this is possible and how to?

  Hi, I am hoping some genious out there can help me out with this... I am using sox to merge and resample a group of WAV files, and pipe the output directly to the input of NeroAACEnc for encoding to AAC format. I originally ran the process in a script, which included: sox.exe d:\audio\1.wav d:\audio\2.wav d:\audio\3.wav -c 1 -r 22050 -t wav - | neroAacEnc.exe -q 0.5 -if - -of test.m4a This worked as expected. The '-' in the comand line translates as 'Pipe/redirect input/output (stdin/stdout)' - So Sox pipes to stdout, and NeroAACEnc reads from stdin, the | joins them together. Slightly more convoluted, but hey :) Well now I have to move it to IronPython, and the Subprocess module isn't available (the partial implementation that is, doesn't have Popen/PIPE support - plus it seems silly to add a custom library when there is probably a native alternative). I should mention here, that I opted for IronPython over C#, because I am comfortable with Python now - however, there is a chance of moving it again later to C# native, and I am using IronPython to ease myself into it :) I have no C# or .net experience. So far I have the following equivalent, that sets up the 2 processes: from System.Diagnostics import Process wav = Process() wav.StartInfo.UseShellExecute = False wav.StartInfo.RedirectStandardOutput = True wav.StartInfo.FileName = 'sox.exe' wav.StartInfo.Arguments = 'd:\audio\1.wav d:\audio\2.wav d:\audio\3.wav -c 1 -r 22050 -t wav -' wav.Start() m4b = Process() m4b.StartInfo.UseShellExecute = False m4b.StartInfo.RedirectStandardInput = True m4b.StartInfo.FileName = 'neroAacEnc.exe' m4b.StartInfo.Arguments = '-q 0.5 -if - -of test.m4a' m4b.Start() I know that these 2 processes start (I can see Nero and Sox in the task manager) but what I can't figure out (for the life of me) is how to string the two output/input streams together, as with the previous two solutions. I have searched and searched, so I thought I'd ask! If anyone knows either: How to join the two streams with the same net result as the Python and Commandline versions; or A better way to acheive what I am trying to do. I would be extremely grateful! • Changing array values in a VBA dictionary

  Hi I have a piece of code that does not seem to do what it is expected to do. VBA Arrays are mutable by all means, but it seems that when they are stored into a Dictionary as values of some keys, they are not mutable anymore. Any ideas? • C#, Linq, Dynamic Query: Code to filter a Dynamic query outside of the Repository

  If you do something like this in your Repository: IQueryable<CarClass> GetCars(string condition, params object[] values) { return db.Cars.Where(condition, values); } And you set the condition and values outside of the repository: string condition = "CarMake == @Make"; object[] values = new string[] { Make = "Ford" }; var result = myRepo.GetCars( condition, values); How would you be able to sort the result outside of the repository with Dynamic Query? return View( "myView", result.OrderBy("Price")); Somehow I am losing the DynamicQuery nature when the data exits from the repository. And yes, I haven't worked out how to return the CarClass type where you would normally do a Select new Carclass { fieldName = m.fieldName, ... }
