  • Running android application on windows, developed on linux

    Hi, I'm very new to Android development. I want to run an Android application on Windows using eclipse that has been already developed on Linux OS. I tried to copy the source/res and menifest file of Android application form linux and started creating a new project on windows. I tried to replace the source/res and menifest of newly created Project on windows with one on linux. It was unable to generate R.java file. I wonder if java is portable accross platform then why I couldn't create and compile a new project on Windows from Linux. Thanx in advance.

    I have a problem to ask you. I have a table in Ms.Access that contain: (FoodID, FoodName, Price) and in C# I have three text boxes (txtId, txtName, txtPrice) and a button (btnSearch). My question is that, In C# I just type FoodID in (txtId) and then click on button Search It'll display FoodName and Price ( from table access) in txtName and txtPrice by itself.     I have a ListBox container data bound and templatized as so: <ListBox x:Name="ListBox" ItemsSource="{Binding Source={StaticResource List}}" ItemTemplate="{StaticResource ListTemplate}"> </ListBox> Within my ListTemplate resource, I define a Grid which contains a few child elements. I have setup a click event handler on one of child elements. The event hander is not row-specific, and I need a (best practice) way of identifying which row in the ListBox the event fired upon. From my data source, I have an unique ID which corresponds to the row. I do not currently expose this ID in the data binding, though could. Ideally I would like the event handler to be able to identify the ID of the row the event was fired upon. Thank you!

We have a very trivial system right now that has huge amount of false positives and the real positives can easily get buried in them. My requirements are: reasonably small amount of false positives good detection rate (yeah these are going against each other) ideally with a more complex output than just a single value usable for C (C99) and C++ (C++03 and optimally C++11) still maintained usable for comparing two source files against each other usable in non-interactive mode EDIT: To avoid confusion, the following two code snippets are identical and should be detected as such: for (int i = 0; i < 10; i++) { bla; } int i; while (i < 10) { bla; i++; } The same here: int x = 10; y = x + 5; int a = 10; y = a + 5;

  • How are OpenGL programs debugged?

    I'm trying to find what is causing a segfault when glDrawArrays is called (as gdb says) in my simple program. When I use the OpenGl calls directly, the program runs fine. But when I wrap them up into two classes (under construction, of vao and vbo) the program segfaults. So, in my wrappers, I definitly disabled something or set something I'm not supposed to. My question is, how do I get some diagnostics that will help me pinpoint the source of the problem ? I'm looking for something similar to what glGetShaderiv does, but for vao and vbo s, that will tell me if I have..say.. unbound a buffer by mistake. [I'm not posting the code here, but if any of you want to donate some time by testing a segfaulting example, here is a tar.gz of the source . You'll need working libraries of sfml-2.0rc, glew and gcc=4.6 .]

  • Makefile won't copy .o to obj/ and target to bin/ folders

    I'm trying to write a Makefile which will copy its target and objects to bin/ and obj/ directories, respectively. Yet, when I try to run it I get the following error: nasm -f elf64 -g -F stabs main.asm -l spacelander.lst ld -o spacelander obj/main.o ld: cannot find obj/main.o: No such file or directory make: *** [spacelander] Error 1 Why is this happening? Update I noticed when I posted the error that it was due to white spacing errors. After taking care of those, I still get the new error I replaced with the old one I mentioned prior. What is this?? What I would like to do with this data is create a new table with Dates and prior 7-day revenue numbers. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.   • Merging XMLTextReaders in C#

    I have a website that needs to pull information from two diffferent XML data sources. Originally I only need to get the data from one source so I was building a URL in the backend that went and retrieved the data from the XML site and then parsed and rendered it in the front end of the website. Now I have to use a 2nd data source and merge the result sets (which are identically structured XML) into one result set.   • How do I setup Eclipse to stop on the line an exception occured?

    Hi, How can I setup Eclipse to stop at the point an exception occurred. I have an Eclipse breakpoint setup to break on an exception. In the code example below, the problem I'm having is Eclipse tries to open the Integer source code. Is there any way to just have debugger break at the point shown in my code example? If I move down the stack trace, I will get to this line, it'd be nice if there's a way to do this without the "Source not found" window coming up.     I have a Java application that I am considering releasing over the web as an applet. I am concerned about java-savvy end users being able to somehow view the source code, given that my web server would be sending the code to their remote jvm when they try to use the applet. What precautions can be taken to ensure that end users are never able to directly view source code of an applet? I am hoping that release as an applet might somehow protect the privacy of the code more than releasing an application with downloadable jars that the user could just unzip. Is this true?

  • Problem in the Android documentation

    Hi all, This is my first post ever -- I love the Android SDK (been at it for a week), but I did notice a small typo in the official documentation that needs correcting. Not sure if this is where I post it, but on this page: http://developer.android.com/reference/android/os/CountDownTimer.html within the example source code, the source says "CountdownTimer" on line one when it should say "CountDownTimer" (notice the capitalization of the letter "D"). An easy fix for one with programming experience, but the code as written will not compile, which could be confusing for someone using this code for the first time. Is this where documentation bugs are submitted, and if not, where should I go to request the fix? Thanks all!

  • Why is the page still caching even after the no-cache headers have been sent?

    I've done a ton of research on this and have asked many people with help and still no success. Here are the details... I'm involved in developing a website that pulls data from various data files, combines them in a temp .csv file, and then is graphed using a popular graphing library: dygraphs. The bulk of the website is written in PHP. The parameters that determine the data that is graphed are stored in the users session, the .csv is named after the users session and available for download, and then the .csv file is written in a script that passes it to the dygraphs object. And we've found, even with the no-cache headers sent: header("Cache-Control: no-cache, must-revalidate"); header("Expires: Sat, 26 Jul 1997 05:00:00 GMT"); Many users experience in the middle of a session, (if enough different graphs are generated) the page displaying an older, static rendering of the page (data they had graphed earlier in the session) as if it were cached and loaded instead of getting a new request. It only gets weirder though: I've checked using developer tools in both Firefox and Chrome and both browsers are receiving the no-cache headers just fine; Even when the problem occurs if you view the page source, the source is the correct content (a table/legend is also dynamically created using php, the source shows the correct table, but what is rendered is older content); the page begins to render correctly until the graph is about to be display, and then shows the older content; the older content displays as if it were a completely static overlay--the cached graph does not have the same dynamic features (roll over data point display, zoom and pan, etc.) And it is as if the correct page were somewhere beneath it (the download button for the csv file moves depending on how large the table is. The older, static page does nothing if you click the download .csv button, but if you can manage to find the one in the page beneath it you can click and still download the .csv. The data in the .csv is correct) It is one of the strangest things I've seen in development thus far. Some other relevant facts are that all the problems I've personally experience occurred while I was using Chrome. Non of these symptoms have been reported by Firefox users. IE users have had the same problems (IE users are forced to use chrome frame). I'm at my wits end at this point. We've sent the php headers; we've tried setting the cache profile for php on IIS as "DisableCache" (or whatever); we've tried sending a random query string to the results page; we've tried all the appropriate meta tags--all with no success.

    Suppose I have a method that passes in the name of a property (as a string) and the object that the property is on (as object). How could I get the value of the property?     I am trying to create a gallery of inline content with Fancybox 2, and am failing miserably. I checked out some other resources online and they seem to indicate doing this relatively easily, yet, I cannot seem to get it to work.   • Permission denied after image upload

    I've got a image upload script that works on my Apache on IIS development server, but on the Apache Lunix live server, although the images are uploaded correctly and the MySQL database is updated correctly, I can't view the images. Viewing the HTML source, checking both the FTP files and the database values, all look OK. But the image doesn't show, just the white box with the red cross in the corner. If I try to copy the shortcut of the image and open it in a seperate window, I get the following: I'm not sure what to try next, it seems strange that the files/database/source look good but it just won't show! I've tried both $HTTP_POST_FILES and $_FILES to upload the images, but both have the same result. If anyone has any ideas, please help!

  • What code commenting style should I use for both C++ and C# ?

    Hi, I was recently hired in a company. They have a lot of C++ and C# code source files and almost one different commenting style per file. (Well this is exagerated, but you have the picture) This morning, I show my new collegues how my personnal code was commented and how easy it was to generate a documentation from it (I use Doxygen). I somehow convinced them to use a coherent commenting style. I would suggest using Doxygen for C++ source files and native C# style commenting style for C# files. However, I'm not sure that's the best solution here. Are you aware of a commenting style that would work for both C++ and C# allowing us to generate a documentation from it ? If so, what software/tool should we use ? Having a solution that would work on Linux platforms as well would be even better. Thank you very much.
