    I am trying to send a simple HTML e-mail from PHP. The code below simply results in a blank e-mail in GMail. It also has an empty attachment called 'noname', which is not at all what I want; though that might just be a symptom of it not working.     Hi! How to write a simple method, that checks whether a concrete type is a custom struct (created with public struct { };) or not. Checking Type.IsValueType is not enough, because it is also true to int, long, etc, and adding a check to !IsPrimitiveType won't exclude decimal, DateTime and maybe some other value types. I know that most of the built in value types are actually "structs", but I only want to check for "custom structs" These questions are mostly the same but without the answer I need: #1 #2 #3

  • iPhone UIWebView initial focus?

    I have a simple app with a full screen UIWebView. This contains HTML generated by the app. I respond to clicks on various elements of the page via document.location = "someCommand" I have to touch the screen once before it will respond to a second touch. It's almost like it is not the focused control. it is the only view in the app. How can I ensure that the first time the UIWebView is touched it responds?

  • QTreeView memory consumption

    Hello. I'm testing QTreeView functionality right now, and i was amazed by one thing. It seems that QTreeView memory consumption depends on items count O_O. This is highly unusual, since model-view containers of such type only keeps track for items being displayed, and rest of items are in the model. I have written a following code with a simple model that holds no data and just reports that it has 10 millions items. With MFC, Windows API or .NET tree / list with such model will take no memory, since it will display only 10-20 visible elements and will request model for more upon scrolling / expanding items. But with Qt, such simple model results in ~300Mb memory consumtion. Increasing number of items will increase memory consumption.   • What does really happen when we do a BEGIN TRAN in SQL Server 2005?

    Hi all, I came across this issue or maybe something I didn't realize but I did a Begin Tran and had some code inside it and never ran a commit or rollback as I forgot about it. That caused all many of the database queries or even just a simple select top 1000 command were just sitting on loading..? Now it probably has put some locks on the tables I guess since it did not let me query them..but I just wanted to know what exactly happened and what are the practices to be followed here ?

    I recently asked a question regarding the resolution of dependencies between Unit of Work and Data Mapper classes: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3012657/dependency-injection-and-unit-of-work-pattern - (which was answered by Gabor de Mooij - thx) In PoEAA, Martin Fowler suggests using Separated Interface to manage these dependencies. My question is simple - is it actually possible to implement this pattern in PHP, or is it specific to Java interfaces? I've searched high and low and it's hard to find references to this pattern anywhere outside of PoEAA.

  • Creating a table with an initial element selected

    I want to create a table which displays in each row a set of data, in addition to a radio button for possible selection. This can be achieved easily by using a simple table model class which extends the DefaultTableModel and a cell renderer and editor class which implements the TableCellRenderer and TableCellEditor interfaces respectively. What I really couldn't manage to do is to make the table to display initially one of the elements (rows) initially selected. It seems straightforward but it isn't...does anybody have a clue about it?

    If I have a 32-bit binary number and I want to replace the lower 16-bit of the binary number with a 16-bit number that I have and keep the upper 16-bit of that number to produce a new binary number.. how can I do this using simple bitwise operator? For example the 32-bit binary number is: 1010 0000 1011 1111 0100 1000 1010 1001 and the lower 16-bit I have is: 0000 0000 0000 0001 so the result is: 1010 0000 1011 1111 0000 0000 0000 0001 how can I do this?

I remember reading somewhere (but I can't find it now, and I don't remember why) that using the rand() function to generate random integers in a fixed range would generate non-uniformly distributed integers.
