  • retrieve events where uid is the creator and application id is the admin - Facebook API

    I would like to know if there is a Facebook API call to retrieve the events (eids) for all the events a user has created using my facebook connect application. The events are created using the following REST api call: https://api.facebook.com/method/events.create?event_info=' . $e_i . '&access_token=' . $cookie['access_token'] $e_i is the event info array where the 'host' value is set to 'Me' as follows $event_info['host'] = 'Me'; On Facebook events under the "Created by:" section it lists "My user name,Application Name", I presume this is because I am the creator and the application is the admin as stated in the REST api documentation http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/rest/events.create/ Unfortunately I cannot seem to find out how (neither REST nor GPRAPH API) to return a list of events where I am the creator and the application is the admin as in the above scenario. If this is possible I would really appreciate some assistance with how it is done. So far I have tried: REST API events.get using uid=application_id. This only returns events created by the application not those including the user who created them GRAPH API https://graph.facebook.com/me/events?fields=owner&access_token=... this returns all the events for 'me' but not where the application is also the admin. It seems strange that there's no reference to the linkage between the event creator and the event admin through the API but in Facebook it is able to pull both and display them on the event details.

    I have CSV file with sample data in this form : 220 30 255 0 0 Javascript 200 20 0 255 128 Thinking in java , where the first column is height, second thickness, next three are rgb values for color and last one is title. All need to be treated as separate variables. I have already written my own solution for this, but I'm wondering if there are no better/easier/shorter ways of doing this. Extracted data will then be used to create Book object, throw every Book into array of books and print it with swing.     Hello everybody, I am trying to build openid login system for my website. To do this I used JanRain's php openid library v 2.1.3. I am also using openid selector to select the openid provider from the list.   • Zend: Fetching row from session db table after generating session id

    Hi, I'm trying to update the session table used by Zend_Session_SaveHandler_DbTable directly after authenticating the user and writing the session to the DB. But I can neither update nor fetch the newly inserted row, even though the session id I use to check (Zend_Session::getId()) is valid and the row is indeed inserted into the table. Upon fetching all session ids (on the same request) the one I newly inserted is missing from the results. It does appear in the results if I fetch it with something else. I've checked whether it is a problem with transactions and that does not seem to be the problem - there is no active transaction when I'm fetching the results. I've also tried fetching a few seconds after writing using sleep(), which doesn't help. $auth->getStorage()->write($ident); //sleep(1) $update = $this->db->update('session', array('uid' => $ident->user_id), 'id='.$this->db->quote(Zend_Session::getId())); $qload = 'SELECT id FROM session'; $load = $this->db->fetchAll($qload); echo $qload; print_r($load); $update fails. $load doesn't contain the row that was written with $auth-getStorage()-write($identity). $qload does contain the correct query - copying it to somewhere else leads to the expected result, that is the inserted row is included in the results. Database used is MySQL - InnoDB. If someone knows how to directly fix this (i.e. on the same request, not doing something like updating after redirecting to another page) without modifying Zend_Session_SaveHandler_DbTable: Thank you very much!

    i'd like to add all or most of my mouse events to stage, but in order to do that i need to be able to tell what is the type of the sprite being clicked. i've added two sprites to the display list, one of which is from a class called Square, the other from a class called Circle. var mySquare:Sprite = new Square(); var myCircle:Sprite = new Circle(); addChild(mySquare); addChild(myCircle); now when i click on these sprites, i'd like to know from which class they are from, or which type of sprite it is. //mousePoint returns mouse coordinates of the stage var myArray:Array = stage.getObjectsUnderPoint(mousePoint()); if (myArray[myArray.length - 1] is Sprite) ... so far i know how to do is determine if it IS a sprite display object, but since i'll only be working with sprites i need something more specific. rather than checking "is Sprite", is there a way i can check "is Square" or "is Circle"? if (myArray[myArray.length - 1] is Square)

And search works again but again only for short time (or very limiter number of queries).     Hi All - I am still a bit of a beginner at AS3, so bear with me, please. I have created a loop to instantiate tiles on a board. In the following example, "Gametiles" is an array containing objects of class "Tile" which is a class that extends MovieClip. If I did something like the following: trace(Game.I_Tile_1_3.x); I get "TypeError: Error #1010: A term is undefined and has no properties." However, I am able to access theses children in the following manner: var testing = Game.getChildByName("I_Tile_1_3") trace(testing.x); This method is a bit cumbersome though. I really don't want to have to create a var and call getChildByName every time I want to interact with these properties or methods. How can I set up these children so that I can access them directly without the extra steps?

    After reading a few enlightening articles about memory in the .NET technology, Out of Memory does not refer to physical memory, 597499. I thought I understood why a C# app would throw an out of memory exception -- until I started experimenting with two servers-- both are having 2.5 gigs of ram, windows server 2003 and identical programs running. The only significant difference between the two being one has 7% hard drive storage left and the other more than 50%. The server with 7% storage space left is consistently throwing an out of memory while the other is performing consistently well. My app is a C# web application that process' hundreds of MBs of String object. Why would this difference happen seeing that the most likely reason for the out of memory issue is out of contiguous virtual address space -- What solutions do you guys propose -- and what do you say about the following 1. turn on the 3gb switch to increase the virtual address space -- 2. instead of using one giant string object, break it up into smaller pieces and collect it in a jagged array (here I have to find a way to return to the caller in some other way as right now, the return type is a string) thanks SO

    Hello, I've come upon a rather interesting thing, which I can't seem to figure out myself. Everytime when executing a SQL statement which contains a '... AND ...' the result is empty. Example: echo('I have a user: ' . $email . $wachtwoord . '<br>'); $dbh = new PDO($dsn, $user, $password); $sql = 'SELECT * FROM user WHERE email = :email AND wachtwoord= :wachtwoord'; $stmt = $dbh->prepare($sql); $stmt->bindParam(:email,$email,PDO::PARAM_STR); $stmt->bindParam(:wachtwoord,$wachtwoord,PDO::PARAM_STR); $stmt->execute(); while($row = $stmt->fetchObject()) { echo($row-email . ',' . $row-wachtwoord); $user[] = array( 'email' = $row-email, 'wachtwoord' = $row-wachtwoord ); } The first echo displays the correct values, however the line with echo($row->email . ',' . $row->wachtwoord); is never reached. A few things I want to add: 1) I am connected to the database since other queries work, only the ones where I add an 'AND' after my 'WHERE's fail. 2) Working with the while works perfectly with queries that do not contain '... AND ...' 3) Error reporting is on, PDO gives no exceptions on my query (or anything else) 4) Executing the query directly on the database does give what I want: SELECT * FROM user WHERE email = '[email protected]' AND wachtwoord = 'jurgen' I can stare at it all day long again (which I already did once, but I managed to work around the 'AND'), but maybe one of you can give me a helping hand.   • Changing the system time zone succeeds once and then no longer changes

    I'm using the WinAPI to set the time zone on a Windows XP SP3 box. I'm reading the time zone information from the HKLM\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\Time Zones\<time zone name> key and then setting the time zone to the specified time zone. I enumerate the keys under the Time Zones key, grab the TZI value and stuff it into a TIME_ZONE_INFORMATION struct to be passed to SetTimeZoneInformation. All seems to work on the first pass. The time zone changes, no error is returned. The second time I perform this operation (same user, new session, on login before userinit) the call succeeds but the system does not reflect the time zone change. Neither the clock nor time stamps on files are updated to the new time zone. When I navigate to: HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\TimeZoneInformation my new time zone information is present. A couple strange things are happening when I'm setting my time zone: Also when I parse the TZI binary value from the registry to store in my TIME_ZONE_INFORMATION struct I'm noticing the struct has the DaylightDate.wDay and StandardDate.wDay field always set to 0 I tried to call GetTimeZoneInformation right after I call SetTimeZoneInformation but the call fails with a 1300 error (Not all privileges or groups referenced are assigned to the caller. ) I'm also making sure to send a WM_BROADCAST message so Explorer knows whats going on. Think it's the parsing of the byte array to the TIME_ZONE_INFORMATION struct? Or am I missing some thing else important? EDIT: Found a document stating why this is happening: here. Privilege was introduced in Vista...thanks MSDN docs... Per the Microsoft documentation I'm enabling the SE_TIME_ZONE_NAME privilege for the current processes token. But when I attempt to call LookupPriviledgeValue for SE_TIME_ZONE_NAME I get a 1313 error (A specified privilege does not exist. ).

  • PHP syntax for referencing self with late static binding

    When I learned PHP it was pretty much in procedural form, more recently I've been trying to adapt to the OOP way of doing things. Hoever the tutorials I've been following were produced before PHP 5.3 when late static binding was introduced. What I want to know is how do I reference self when calling a function from a parent class. For example these two methods were written for a User class which is a child of DatabaseObject. Right now they're sitting inside the User class, but, as they're used in other child classes of DatabaseObject I'd like to promote them to be included inside DatabaseObject. public static function find_all() { global $database; $result_set = self::find_by_sql("select * from ".self::$table_name); return $result_set; } and: protected function cleaned_attributes() { global $database; $clean_attributes = array(); foreach($this->attributes() as $key => $value) { $clean_attributes[$key] = $database->escape_value($value); } return $clean_attributes; } So I have three questions: 1) How do I change the self:: reference when I move it to the parent.   • Pass Result of ASIHTTPRequest "requestFinished" Back to Originating Method

    I have a method (getAllTeams:) that initiates an HTTP request using the ASIHTTPRequest library. NSURL *httpURL = [[[NSURL alloc] initWithString:@"/api/teams" relativeToURL:webServiceURL] autorelease]; ASIHTTPRequest *request = [[[ASIHTTPRequest alloc] initWithURL:httpURL] autorelease]; [request setDelegate:self]; [request startAsynchronous]; What I'd like to be able to do is call [WebService getAllTeams] and have it return the results in an NSArray. At the moment, getAllTeams doesn't return anything because the HTTP response is evaluated in the requestFinished: method. Ideally I'd want to be able to call [WebService getAllTeams], wait for the response, and dump it into an NSArray. I don't want to create properties because this is disposable class (meaning it doesn't store any values, just retrieves values), and multiple methods are going to be using the same requestFinished (all of them returning an array). I've read up a bit on delegates, and NSNotifications, but I'm not sure if either of them are the best approach. I found this snippet about implementing callbacks by passing a selector as a parameter, but it didn't pan out (since requestFinished fires independently). Any suggestions? I'd appreciate even just to be pointed in the right direction. NSArray *teams = [[WebService alloc] getAllTeams]; (currently doesn't work, because getAllTeams doesn't return anything, but requestFinished does. I want to get the result of requestFinished and pass it back to getAllTeams:)

    I am a student in the process a building an Android app that can post a GPS track into a Rails application. I would like to do things the "Rails" way and take advantage of the REST. My rails application basically has 3 models at this point: users, tracks, and points. A user has_many tracks and a track has_many points. A track also has a total distance. Points have a latitude and longitude. I have successfully been able to create an empty track with: curl -i -X POST -H 'Content-Type: application/xml' -d '<track><distance>100</distance></track>' http://localhost:3000/users/1/tracks Whoo hoo! That is pretty cool. I am really impressed that rails do this. Just to see what would happen I tried the following: curl -i -X POST -H 'Content-Type: application/xml -d '<track><distance>100</distance><points><point><lat>3</lat><lng>2</lng></point></points></track>' http://localhost:3000/users/1/tracks Fail! The server spits back: Processing TracksController#create (for 127.0.0.1 at 2010-04-14 00:03:25) [POST] Parameters: {"track"={"points"={"point"={"lng"="2", "lat"="3"}}, "distance"="100"}, "user_id"="1"} User Load (0.6ms) SELECT * FROM "users" WHERE ("users"."id" = 1) ActiveRecord::AssociationTypeMismatch (Point(#-620976268) expected, got Array(#-607740138)): app/controllers/tracks_controller.rb:47:in `create' It seems my tracks_controller doesn't like or understand what it's getting from the params object in my tracks_controller.rb: def create @track = @user.tracks.build(params[:track]) My xml might be wrong, but at least Rails seems to be expecting a Point from it. Is there anyway I can fix TracksController.create so that it will be able to parse xml of a track with nested multiple points? Or is there another way I should be doing this entirely?

  • Returned JSON from Twitter and displaying tweets using FlexSlider

    After sending a request to the Twitter API using geocode, I'm getting back a json response with a list of tweets. I then that into a php array using json_decode() and use a foreach loop to output what I need. I'm using flex slider to show the tweets in a vertical fashion after wrapping them in a list. So what I want is for it to only show 10 tweets at a time and scroll through them infinitely like an escalator.
