  I have a form which I want to submit upon button click which is outside the form, here is my HTML : <form id="checkin" name="checkin" id="checkin" action#" method="post"> <input type="text" tabindex="100" class="identifier" name="identifier" id="identifier"> <input type="submit" tabindex="101" value="Submito" class="elsubmito" name="submit"> </form> Here is my jQuery : $("button").live('click', function(){ $("#checkin").submit(); }); $("#checkin").live('submit', function(){ }); When I click submit button inside the form its submitting ok, but its not submitting when I click on the button which is outside the form tags, why? how can I fix this ?

• Consuming web service from BizTalk with authentication credentials

  I am trying to consume a web service from BizTalk by supplying credentials in the SOAP adapter port. I type in the Web Service URL and then I have the choice of Anonymous, Basic, Digest and NTLM authentication types. How do I supply my username, password and domain?.. when testing with soapUI it works perfectly. The only way I get to supply credentials is Basic or Digest but no matter what I fill in I get a "not authroized" error. The strange thing is that it actually works when I choose the NTLM authentication type but how does it get acces when I have not supplied the credentials. And there is no way that my server has direct access to the service?

  Hello, is this a valid JQuery usage pattern to : <script type="text/javascript"> $("body").prepend('<input type="hidden" id="error" value="show">'); </script> That is using Jquery to manipulate / insert HTML Tags when the Document has NOT YET been loaded (by not using document.ready for the inserting into the DOM)? (Normally I only use document.ready, but in this case I need to insert some Information into the DOM that then is present, when document.ready is called. This is some kind of "happens-before" relations ship I want to achieve so that I am shure when document.ready is called the inserted Form field is available in the document, as I depend on that information.   Imagine I have a .Net application that supports user extensions in the form of Python modules by embedding IronPython. Using Ironclad, I can allow users to make use of the NumPy and SciPy packages from within their modules. How good is the interop provided by Ironclad? My question is: can I use a NumPy array of type T provided by the user's module in the rest of my app that requires an IList<T>? Edit To clarify, IronPython exposes any Python enumerable of objects of type T as an IEnumerable<T> or an IList<T>. I'm not sure if NumPy arrays fit in this category. I would rather not have to call .tolist() on the NumPy array as the arrays may be quite large.

  I would like to set up table-per-classhierarchy inheritance in nhibernate thru code. Everything else is set in XML mapping files except the subclasses. If i up the subclasses in xml all is well, but not from code.   I have Source Connector Type as 'File Reader' which is reading HL7 files and Destination Connector Type as 'Database Writer'. My database table has two columns Participant_Information SPR_Information I want to transform a single HL7 file into two XML files one for Participant_Information column and other for SPR_Information column and need to insert both as a single record into the database table. I'm able to insert one XML at a time but not able to find the way to insert both the XMLs as a single record into the database table. Any help is really greatly appreciated!

  I am trying to set up a new GitHub account as part of learning ruby on rails. My OS is windows. I am having the following problem while trying to add my public key to the GitHub SSH public keys. When I put the key in the text area, supply a name, and click 'Add Key', I am taken to the Job profile page without any confirmation that the key has been added.(I am using SSH client GUI to generate RSA keys). When I come back to the SSH public keys page, I see that the key is not there. I tried this multiple times...without any result. • Is this a situation where Qt Model/View architecture is not useful?

  Hi, I am writing a GUI based application where I read a string of values from serial port every few seconds and I need to display most of the values in some type graphical indicator(I was thinking of QprogressBar maybe) that displays the range and the value. Some of the other data that I am parsing from the string are the date and fault codes. Also, the data is hierarchical. I wanted to use the model/view architecture of Qt because I have been interested in MVC stuff for a while but have never quite wrapped my brain around how to implement it very well. As of now, I have subclassed QAbstractItemModel and in the model I read the serial port and wrap the items parsed from the string in a Tree data structure. I can view all of the data in a QtreeView with no issues. I have also began to subclass QAbstractItemView to build my custom view with all of the Graphical Indicators and such. This is where I am getting stuck. It seems to me that in order for me to design a view that knows how to display my custom model the view needs to know exactly how all of the data in the model is organized. Doesn't that defeat the purpose of Model/View? The QTreeView I tested the model with is basically just displaying the model as it is setup in the Tree structure but I don't want to do that because the data is not all of the same type. Is the type of data or the way you would like to present it to the user a determining factor in whether or not you should use this architecture? I always assumed it was just always better to design in an MVC style. It seems to me like it might have been better to just subclass QWidget and then read in from the serial port and update all of subwidgets(graphical indicators, labels, etc...) from the subclass. Essentially, do everything in one class. Does anybody understand this issue that can explain to me either what I am missing or why I shouldn't be doing it this way. As of now I am a little confused. The top line of the stack trace is at Microsoft.Practices.Unity.Utility.Guard.TypeIsAssignable(Type assignmentTargetType, Type assignmentValueType, String argumentName). Why can't I register a MockInstance with the UnityContainer, and how do I work around this?

  How can I get an MP3 audio file to play in iPhone Safari (OS 3.1)? Currently, I am generating HTML e.g. <a href="file.mp3"><img src="sound.png" alt="Play audio"/></a> to play the file on clicking on the nested image. This works on Safari on OSX, but not on the iPhone. There, the content of the file is shown as text, but it does not appear to be a mime-type problem when checked with Live HTTP Headers from Firefox. I have found approaches referenced here. These require the Safari Plugins setting to be on in the preferences, which is why it did not previously work for me.

  Hi, The problem is the following: On Windows x64, pointers are 64-bit, but type long is 32-bit. MSVC doesn't seem to care, and even omits warnings about pointer truncation on the default warning level. Since recently, there is a GCC that target x86_64-w64-mingw32, or better Windows x64 native. GCC produces errors when pointers are truncated (which is the logical thing to do...), and this is causing trouble in WebKit and more specifically, the Netscape Plugin API: First, there's the files (I can only post one hyperlink...): http://trac.webkit.org/browser/trunk/WebCore/ bridge/npapi.h -- defines uint32 as 32-bit int type (~line 145) plugins/win/PluginViewWin.cpp -- casts Windows window handles to 32-bit int, truncating them (~line 450) My proposed fix was to change the uint32 casts to uintptr_t, which makes GCC happy, but still puts a 64-bit value in a uint32 (=unsigned long). I have no clue how to solve this, because clearly WebKit is happy truncating pointers on Win64... How can I solve this the right way? Thanks!

• Jquery AJAX and figuring out how NOT to nest callbacks for multiple reloads.

  I have a site with a few containers that need to load content dynamically via AJAX. Most of the links inside of the containers actually load new data in that same container. I.E: $("#navmenu_item1").click(function() { $("#navmenu").load(blah); }); When I click on a link, lets say "logout," and the menu reloads with the updated login status, none of the links now work because I would need to add a new .click into the callback code. Now with repeated clicks and AJAX requests I am not sure how to move forward from here, as I am sure nested callbacks are not optimal. What would be the best way to do this? Do I include the .click event inside the actual AJAX file being pulled from the server, instead of within index.php? Or can I somehow reload the DOM? Thanks for the help!

• how to better use of eclipse code templates (PHP)?

  One particular problem I was having was using ${word_selection} in an Eclipse PDT template. I was recently trying to use some code templates with Eclipse PDT 2.1 to speed up some common tasks. We use a lot of getters/setters, so I wrote the following template. function get${word_selection}() { return $$this->getData('${word_selection}'); } function set${word_selection}($$${word_selection}) { $$this->setData('${word_selection}', $$${word_selection}); } I named the template "getset" and the only way I know to use the Code Assist is to type: "getset" then hit my code assist keys (I have it set to Esc, but I think the default was Ctrl+Space). The problem is, this doesn't actually let me select a word to be used by the ${word_selection}. how do I type in my template name, hit the key combo, and have a word selected all at the same time? I also want to know what kinds of templates people have set up and any other tips for using templates to speed of programming.

  I'm trying to use file_get_contentsO() to get the response from a server and this error was encountered. Could someone tell me what is the reason and how to fix it? The portion of the code is: $api = "http://smpp5.routesms.com:8080/bulksms/sendsms?username=$username&password=$password&source=$source&destination=$destin&dlr=$dlr&type=$type&message=$message"; $resp = file_get_contents($api); The server responded correctly while I pasted the url in the browser. I learned that this is caused by the server rejecting the client's HTTP version, but I have no idea why that is happening in my case. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance
