    I'm trying to use this api that lets you reference an exact text, but the getJson does not seem to be working, it's just returning null. $.getJSON('http://api.biblia.com/v1/bible/content/KJV.json?key=MYAPIKEY=John+3:16-18&style=bibleTextOnly', function(data) { alert(data); }); I just took the key out, i've been testing it with my real api key, and it works fine when i just visit the url. is there anything else i need to do to make it work?   • How to do Selection Alignment using the RichTextBox in Silverlight 4?

    I cannot seem to figure out how to do a Selection Alignment in the new RichTextBox, I have an idea that I need to convert the selection into the Paragraph type which supports alignment, but cannot seem to figure this out. None of the Silverlight examples have this, but I'm sure it is possible. I have this code, that does not work - as I think I need the selection to be a Paragraph as it always returns and Exception "Value does not fall within the expected range".   • Changing CSS on the fly in a UIWebView on iPhone

    Let's say I'm developing an iPhone app that is a catalogue of cars. The user will choose a car from a list, and I will present a detail view for the car, which will describe things like top speed. The detail view will essentially be a UIWebView that is loading an existing HTML file. Different users will live in different parts of the world, so they will like to see the top speed for the car in whatever units are appropriate for their locale. Let's say there are two such units: SI (km/h) and conventional (mph). Let's also say the user will be able to change the display units by hitting a button on the screen; when that happens, the detail screen should switch to show the relevant units. So far, here's what I've done to try and solve this. The first time the button is hit, the UIWebView doesn't change. The second time it's hit, it looks like the conventional style sheet is loaded. The third time, it switches to the SI style sheet; the fourth time, back to the conventional, and so on. So, basically, only that first button press doesn't seem to do anything. Here's the second problem. I'm not sure how to switch to the correct style sheet upon initial load of the UIWebView. I tried this: - (void)webViewDidFinishLoad:(UIWebView *)webView { NSString* command = [[NSString alloc] initWithString:@"switchToSiStyleSheet();"]; [self.webView stringByEvaluatingJavaScriptFromString:command]; [command release]; } But, like the first button hit, it doesn't seem to do anything.   • WinForms AcceptButton not working?

    Ok, this is bugging me, and I just can't figure out what is wrong... I have made two forms. First form just has a simple button on it, which opens the other as a dialog like so: using (Form2 f = new Form2()) { if (f.ShowDialog() != DialogResult.OK) MessageBox.Show("Not OK"); else MessageBox.Show("OK"); } The second, which is that Form2, has two buttons on it. All I have done is to set the forms AcceptButton to one, and CancelButton to the other. In my head this is all that should be needed to make this work. But when I run it, I click on the button which opens up Form2. I can now click on the one set as CancelButton, and I get the "Not OK" message box. But when I click on the one set as AcceptButton, nothing happens?   • Size Mismatch Between Swing Fonts and Printable Fonts in Java

    Hi All, I've got a panel displaying a JTextPane backed by a StyledDocument. When I print a string of text in, say Arial 16, the text it prints is of a different size than the Arial 16 Word prints. Is there some sort of flaw in the translation of Swing fonts to Windows system fonts or something of the sort that makes it difficult (or impossible) to print accurately? I can achieve an approximation by scaling down the size of my font before printing, but this never quite gets me the results I would like, as it's not possible in all cases to reproduce things like equivalent numbers of words on a line, etc. Has anybody run into this before?

    Hi, I have a ListView with TextBoxes in second column. I want to validate that my text box does not contain a number if the third column(data_type) is "Text". I am unable to do the validation. I tried a few approaches. In one approach I try to handle the MouseDown event and am trying to get the Row number so that I can get the data_type value of that row. I want to us this value in the Validate method. I have been struggling for a week now.     my I have here a text that has been encrypted in Vi this way: 1,$s/\(.\)\1/&&/g 1,$s/\(.\)\(.\)\2\2\2/\2\2\2\1\2/g 1,$s/\(.\)\(.\)\(.\)\(.\)/\3\1\4\2/g 1,$s/\(...\)\(...\)/\2\1/g The task is to write a new regex for each regex in order to undo the the changes, so-called decrypting of the text. I figured out how to undo the last 2 changes: :1,$s/\(...\)\(...\)/\2\1/g :1,$s/\(.\)\(.\)\(.\)\(.\)/\2\4\1\3/g I'd like you to explain me what do the first two regex do. What does \1 or \2\2\2 mean before the forward slash? I assume that after the slash they change place (but wouldn't it be enough to just write \2\1 instead of \2\2\2\1\2(what does it mean?)? I just don't get it). And what does & or && mean? Thank you

  • Button layed out using layout_toLeftOf in a RelativeLayout does not show up

    Hello all, I am trying to layout a Button to the left of a TextView that is centered on the screen. I get the following result: As you see, the button doesn't show up. It works if I use layout_toRightOf, then the button appears to the right of the TextView, just as expected. Any ideas what I am doing wrong here?

I'm using ns: from the suggestion from VS 2010 XPath Navigator plugin. Any thoughts on how to handle this?

    Hi friends, I'm a drupal newbie... I have different type of contents like News, Events, etc. and their content is different. News detail page has title-content text-date. but Events detail page has title-date-content text-location-speaker-etc. So I need different layout page for these different types. So, I enabled Drupal Themer to get a candidate name. for events page, it gave me page-node.tpl.php and it gives same for News page as well :( how can I separate these pages? I expected sth like page-event-node.tpl , but no... :/ Drupal Themer also give unique candidate name for event page like page-node-18.tpl.php but it doesnt mean anything since I can not create a general layout for all events by this node name. :( Appreciate helps so much!!     I am having a problem setting the background of UITableView to a UIImageView (see below for why I am doing this), once the view is set, it works fine, and scrolls with the UITableView, but it hides the elements of the Table View. I need to have a UIImageView as the background for a UITableView.     I am using Linuxmint (= ubuntu linux 9.10) I installed LAmp server which have apache,php mysql and now i am trying to write jquery code i made a file and it worked perfectly with this link : file:///var/www/jquery/jquery.html but when i use this link, then it doesnt work anymore : http://localhost/jquery/jquery.html the file jquery.min.js is in the same folder and i already changed the src of it in source code to <script type="text/javascript" src="/var/www/jquery/jquery.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="jquery.min.js"></script> but none of them works (with localhost link) using firebug I saw these errors: The requested URL /var/www/jquery/jquery.min.js was not found on this server. You don't have permission to access /jquery/jquery.min.js on this server. Apache/2.2.12 (Ubuntu) Server at localhost Port 80 so what do I have to do to make it run?

I'm trying to "re-skin" an existing site that has been nicely built using div's and ul's, etc, and it has a good existing CSS file, but when I start making changes to the CSS I quickly find that I break the layout. My feeling is that it is very hard to get a feel for how all the CSS will work together and indeed what CSS is affecting parent and sibling elements in the HTML. So, my question is "what are the best-practices around re-skinning an existing web-site by replacing the CSS only and not modifying the existing HTML?" I can't change the classes, ids, node hierarchy, etc. An example of the particular site that I am trying to re-skin is http://demo.nopcommerce.com/.     I have been using LaTeX from sometime now, but have never actually gotten my hands dirty declaring a new command, as I try to avoid that. However, I need to add monospace text often in my document and I use \verb for it which is fine, except that the verb font size is bigger than the normal text font. So I need to change the font size and undo done like \small{}\verb#My monospace code#\normalsize{}. This is not very convenient and mistake-prone. Is there a better way to do this? Can I define a new command for this? How?

    I am working on an application that requires text larger than the viewable screen size in both a TreeField and a ListField. As you know, the TreeField and ListField callbacks support only graphics.drawText() methods, so I cannot add an instance of a Field per row. Does anyone have a method of Scrolling horizontally past the viewable text size? Is there maybe a scrollable panel that would work? I know of the NullField(Field.Focusable) trick but this won't work on the list field. Lastly, I am aware that the type of screen makes a different as FullScreen and MainScreen use VerticalFieldMangers. So am using a PopupScreen at the moment for my testing.     I have a basic menu using some nested UL's, which is pretty standard I think. When hovering over an LI from the "root" menu, I want the UL within that LI to display. Move the mouse off or to another LI, it shows that submenu. Move down to the submenu and it stays while you hover over each element. I had it working with a simple jQuery.hover() set, but then I ran into issues. When on a page, the "root" menu item is given a class of 'current-page' and if that class exists, I want it to display that submenu statically after a mouseout. Hope I explained that well enough. I just tossed a variable into the hover functions so on the mouseout it ran a .show() on the current-page's submenu. Easy. Except that when I move the mouse between the individual LI's of the submenu, it changes back to the current-page submenu. So I attempted to add a timer element based on another question here. That made things worse -- now the submenus just don't disappear. Here's my CSS, markup, and JS ... how the heck do I make this work properly?
