  Hi, I need to know the best way to set up a spreadsheet which has product information (i.e name cost, sale price, number purchased, number sold, number left in stock) Every week I check the stock so need to be able to to enter the new current value of the number left in stock. The every week I buy new stock. Sometimes the stock changes in price. The spreadsheet needs to also keep track of how much money I should have from the sales of the stock and then therefore the profit made etc. Thanks

• Script to monitor free space in Hdd

  I have a server app that crushes when the HDD free space it's a multiple of 4Gb (on a Windows Server 2003). In general i keep track myself o that weekly since i use the machine from time to time. Can you point out an app or script (i don't wanna install powershell, is this doable???) that copies some larger files from one folder to another to get the free space out of the multiple of 4Gb range. • Burn 24/96 flac files to play on standalone player

  I have vinyl record rip in 24/96 flac format. Each track is almost 200 MB big, so the album won't fit on CD. How to burn these files on a DVD to play with the same quality on standalone DVD player? My player supports SACD, DVD Audio and DVD video as well. My OS is Ubuntu Lucid (preferred), but I have also WinXp with Nero installed. BTW, is there any difference between DVD+ and DVD- for audio?

• Built in spam filters SBS2008

  I have an sbs 2008 server with exchange 2007, its running the MS spam filters which picks up the spam fine, however a lot of senders cannot send email to the recipients of the sbs2008 server until they have been emailed first and then that only applies to that one recipient (some form of aggregated white list). I have tried to track the messages using the built in tools on exchange 2007 but I am not having much joy! Any ideas?

  I have a number of Linux webservers for which I'd like to track where disk space is going and keep disk space to a minimum. Typically I login on SSH and use du to find out where disk space is wasted but this is cumbersome and slow. A visualisation tool like KDirStat would be ideal, but it requires installing an X server at the very least, which kind of defeats the purpose. Is there any web-based disk space visualizer? I'm open to alternative solutions.

• Acer 1420p: Screen Rotation does not always rotate multi-touch input

  I have a PDC'09 Acer 1420p tablet with a multi-touch screen. Sometimes when I rotate the display, the multi-touch surface input does not rotate to match. The track pad rotates just fine, but not the screen input. Has anyone else run into this problem on the PDC laptop or any other machine? It uses Intel GMA 4500, running Windows 7 64.

  Hello, I'm looking for a nice way to add / remote ips (and possibly interact with an asset inventory system to track where ips are), start / stop processes, download logs, and all around genearal system admin duties from one place. It's okay if I require more than 1 program. That would still be better than having 50 million terminals open and trying to trace ip assignments etc on whiteboards. • Missing HDD space - says 65GB used, selecting all folders shows 30GB used

  Hi Running Windows Server 2008, 74GB raptor drive and noticed we only had about 500MB left - yikes! So deleted some old backups we don't need, but can't track down where about 30GB seems to be taken up. If I go to C: and select all folders and go to properties, this comes to around 30GB but in My Computer I can see 65GB is used. How can I find out whats eating the space? Just IIS + MSSQL Express + Smartermail on the server

• Nagios check for wuauserv on Windows Server 2008+

  From Windows Server 2008+, wuauserv is no longer a service that's ran all of the time and is instead ran as a scheduled task. I'm not sure of the exact behavior of how the scheduled task is created as it seems the schedule is generated and edited by another service. Prior to this, we setup nagios to just check for the running service to ensure it was accepting updates. My question is, how does one track the proper execution/running of wuauserv service in Windows Server 2008+ to ensure it is accepting updates with nagios?

We keep versions of our stored procedures in the repository to track changes and for deployment and rollback purposes.
